Epic flight academy Review

Epic took me from a 0 hour pilot to an MEI. Throughout that time I constantly felt motivated, encouraged, and supported by the school from top to bottom. There are many great things about Epic- but there are a few that stand out above the rest. Safety is always the priority. The airplanes are very well maintained and both students and instructors are consistently updated with improved safety practices. Friendships and internal support systems are inevitable. Everyone is excited and willing to find ways to keep each other moving forward. The former and current (Mo, TJ, and Andrew) course managers are experts in their respective courses. Lastly, the culture at Epic inspires learning beyond the check ride. The aviation education is designed to build students to become great, safe aviators- not just to pass a check ride. If you come to Epic you will be urged to work and study hard. If you do, you will leave a great pilot. I fully recommend Epic Flight Academy.

If you have dreams of freedom from the bounds of gravity and leaving earth behind Epic Flight Academy is the place to train and learn. They have excellent training aircraft with a top notch maintenance department. During my flight experience I have made numerous friends in aviation. The Epic staff like Josh, TJ, Mo, and McCarthy have an open door policy and student success is there #1 priority. I would highly recommend any aspiring aviator to join the Epic team/family. If your going to fly its best to be Epic!!!

So, Overall this flight school is awesome.

With regards to the quality of flight instructor, the maintenance of the aircraft, and operating in D airspace with friendly tower personal. etc. All the thing combines gives you the best experience of flight training with a solid foundation of your flight skill and knowledge of course.
Most importantly that I transferred from another flight school, and had observed several flight schools, so I believe, I have a wide view of that comparison. And luck me that I actually made the right choice, so EPIC make my Instrument and commercial course smooth and enjoyable.

If you want accelerate your training and save money? EPIC will be your best choice. (some flight school use same words and actually scam your money, but Epic is reasonable accelerate meaning depends on your performance, so result less money spend)

I completed my CFI-CFII at Epic flight academy and worked for 2 years at this amazing flight school, tried to do my best here, you know, I ll always be grateful with all opportunities presented in my life and Epic was an Epic one. Lots of learnings not only as a pilot but as a person. Thank you Josh R, Keith B, Mike T, Mark S, Josh S, and the one that guided me and knew how to work with me TJ, the instrument course manager, thanks man! Plus all the team.. All the great students I had, what an amazing experience.. Glad I had them..

My flight training at Epic Flight Academy has been one of great success. I obtained my private pilot license and instrument rating with in a reasonable time span. Mo, Andrew and Tj have been very helpful in allowing me to achieve my goals of becoming a pilot.

Epic Flight Academy has a variety of training aids and facilities, and their planes are maintained to perfection to provide the greasiest of landings. The school has an outstanding set of training programs ready to accommodate any students needs. Be it the course leaders, instructors, or other students, every individual at Epic wants to see you succeed.

In my time here, course leaders like TJ Hewitt have always been there to keep me on the center line and provide help when needed. And anytime I feel behind, I can always count on people like Mason Smallwood to tutor me back up to snuff. But my favorite thing about Epic has got to be the flight instructors. They strive for professionalism and efficiency above all else, not wasting a second of your time. I don t think I ve even had a college professor as dedicated to my success as my instructor Gavin Morales has been.

I couldn t appreciate all the people I ve met here more. It s honestly amazing. If being a pilot is on your mind, this is definitely the place to be. Come join the epic family :)

Epic is a great flight school. I have attended others before coming to Epic and I really appreciate the amazing culture that is at the school. The students, instructors, and managers are really great. They also maintain the airplanes and keep them in excellent condition at all times. Epic is definitely the place to do your flight training if you want to become an excellent pilot.

I came to epic in January of 2021. I had been in talks with their awesome recruiter Haley for about 8 months prior to coming and honestly I wanna say that I didn t feel pressured or trying to be swindled into coming or anything. She helped answer every single one of my questions, made the process easy, and coached me through the loan process. Nothing but professionalism. I did my private pilot training in 4 months starting from zero experience. I have not a SINGLE bad thing to say about my training experience, ground school, managment, or course leaders. I did my instrument training here as well which was very structured and a lot of fun. Epic has amazing instructors that will try their absolute hardest to accommodate for every type of student. The knowledge I ve learned here is so valuable and I m very thankful for what they ve done for me. Mo And TJ and Andrew are very respectful, understanding, and very seasoned pilots that will work with any student to overcome a problem they have. My only con to say is that cancelling activities can sometimes be a pain and scheduling is all over the place occasionally but that s to be expected from an operation as large as epic. Epic is the best flight school around central Florida and I couldn t recommend it enough

I spent 7 months at Epic and graduated from the Commercial pilot program in May 2020.I had a great time at Epic and highly encourage prospective students to inquire for more information and if possible, schedule to visit the campus! There are lots of info on the internet for so many schools in the area, but in the end, it was the visit that made me decided to come to Epic.

What really sets Epic apart? It's the people! The instructors are genuinely enthusiastic about the school and passionate about what they do. They are very proud and happy to be part of the Epic family. The same transpires to the management and administrative staff. They know how to make sure my training went smoothly and are very supportive with non-training related matters. In the end, you learn more when you are surrounded with people with positive energy and vibe.

As for the hardware, the planes are very new and well maintained. I never had any issue with them. The maintenance is ran professionally. Overall, they are authorized Cessna service center. There's a nice library with instructor on duty if you need any help, a simulator and G1000 panel for practice.

Scheduled a discovery flight for Monday morning. Showed up and everyone was wonderful from the front desk to the flight instructor. The plane we used was very modern and comfortable (C172 with G1000s) Our instructor was amazing, let me take control of the airplane and explained everything so it was easy to understand. I've thought about getting my pilots license in the past, but this experience solidified that. Thanks for the great time!
