I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Epic. My son was not having a good experience with brick and mortar school, so we gave Epic One on One a try, and for the last two years he has loved his teacher and therapists.. Jennifer Redinger is an awesome teacher, Ms. Sarah, and Ms. Leslie Jefferson are the best. We are going to give brick and mortar another try for my sons development. If it doesn't work out, we will definitely re-enroll in Epic.
Wish me and my daughter would've went with EPIC sooner...we did K12 her 4th grade year and we both liked EPIC better because we were able to meet with and be in more contact with her teacher since she was local...this year was Senior year and my daughter's grades and especially GPA were much better. Her teacher kept us informed and was very encouraging, especially the closer we got to the finish line!! Glad to have her on our team!
both of my daughters attended school through Epic one ahs graduated and the other will graduate this year. I have been very happy with the results the ease of being able to work at their own pace with no penalty teachers have been very helpful. I have had no issues. my only complaint is the ridiculous classes Oklahoma makes you take to graduate!!
Have really loved our time with Epic. I will say that the teacher makes or breaks the experience. Adam Wilhelm has been such a great teacher. He s really nice and accommodating. I wasn t too happy with the special ed part of the school for my oldest but maybe I didn t seek out enough resources? I highly recommend Epic if your kid isn t succeeding in public school.
Epic charter school has been a huge blessing for our family for the past 3 years! I love this model and truly think it works! Epic is a partnership between the parent, student, and teacher and if all three of those people are willing to work then it's fail-proof! Expectations are set up front so I let my teacher know what my expectations are and they let me know what theirs is and we work together and my child benefits. We love the $900 learning fund that helps pay for curriculum and extra curricular activities and love our WONDERFUL teacher. I am very blessed that I can educate my child at home, with teacher support, and that my child can learn at their own pace! And if I didn't like my teacher, or my teacher isn't working for us, then I can switch teachers any time! This model may not be for everyone, like those who don't want to work with their child at home, or for those who work outside of the home while having younger children-but for our family it's been a wonderful experience!
Our family loves this school!! We have been with the school for 5 years and can't say enough good things about it! The teachers are amazing and work hard for each child. The school puts every student first and are always coming up with new fun/educational ways to get the students together. Best at home/public school option out there that we have found!!
Mrs. Edwards has taught my kids for 2 years. She has been wonderful. She meets with my little ones every other week (with a lesson). And the stipend is great for extracurricular activities.
Excellent program! Great for students who have had various issues learning in a regular public school setting. A great alternative for children being bullied at their public school. Provides a positive non-conflict environment that focuses on the student.
NATALIE MYERS has changed my view of on line learning. Our Journey with Epic began last year, after spring break. For many reasons: mainly the lack of communication and guidance provided by her pervious teacher, it was a struggle. This year however, things turned around 110% mostly because of my daughter's new teacher; NATALIE MYERS. Natalie is AMAZING and truly takes a great interest in my daughters education. Natalie goes above and beyond to work with my daughter, our family and the requirements of her position; to ensure success for my daughter. I have been over joyed, incredibly impressed, and blessed by NATALIE MYERS.
We love Epic. My son is on his second year and it has been an awesome change. He gets tutoring through Epic that he couldn't receive in public school and his math skills have greatly improved. We love our teacher and I thinks its awesome he gets to continue on with us each year.
