Envy Nightlife at Route 66 Resort and Casino Review

It was nice to see that in this day of the covid-19 virus, that Route 66 is actually putting the well-being of their guests before the well-being of their bank account. At 66 every other machine is shut off so you're not directly sitting next to each other. When you get your players card you are offered a stylus so you don't have to touch the machines. And believe it or not, I saw 66 employees cleaning machines and restrooms.
I won't mention the name of the Casino South of Albuquerque. We went there and we won't go back. Their idea of social distancing is putting a plexiglass between each machine.

You have to be a resident of new Mexico to enter. That's messed up! If I could give zero stars, I would!

Bad service again, we always arrive at 2 for check in. And we always get told "NO" check in is not till 4. Now we,show up at 5 and get told the rooms are not ready. We,have to wait, again to check in later. Just freaking ridiculous. And i only stay here,cause of the wife. Dam

My family and I regularly have breakfast in the Main Street restaurant. Our experience has always been highly positive, worthy of 5 stars. We had occasion recently to have breakfast there again but this time the food and service was well below our usual expectations. We were there during one of their busy Sunday breakfast periods. Two of our three orders were brought to us with really inferior bacon that was unevenly cooked. It was sent back to the kitchen then returned to us overcooked. One of our orders had the wrong type of potatoes. Bottom line, one of our party not only waited for poorly prepared bacon but also had to wait on correction of the potatoes. The waitress seemed unsympathetic and defensive when responding to our concerns. My wife asked to speak to a manager. A supervisor responded and was genuinely interested in making things right. Our primary intent was to provide feedback so that this lapse in service can ve imoroved on. We left the redtaurant disappointed in the experience.

And then one $45 we ate at Johnny Rockets but I had to pay for my own wine otherwise it was great experience

All of the employees are polite and ready to help in every way. The room was nice and clean.

Rooms are great and the service is provided by a staff who actually seem to enjoy thier work and will do the utmost to please you.

Sat at the Stadium 66 bar and waited 15 mins to get a drink, another 30 mins to be told my order of wings was taken by another table. Was waiting for poker so I left and ate at the snack bar. Their priority seems to be alcohol sales and not food. Should have stuck with buffet. Disappointing.

Don't bet high , try the buffet while I was there no jackpots low payouts machines were tight

this Casino is totally a scam. when they see you have a win streak at any blackjack table, they immediately change a new dealer. don't come here and waste your money. period.

The food was not good it was old food that they had in the freezer nasty

Rundown poker room, looks really cheap and 3rd world

Very nice place! Didn't win anything at all, but the hotel and casino were both very nice. The room was very nice and the bed was comfy! Food was also great! We were pleased with our stay and hope to be back again when we make it back to the area. Much nicer than the other hotel casino down the road!

Food not replaced when empty. A lot of food trays weren't refilled.

Very upset,been coming here for years. Was turned away at the casino because I'm not a resident of New Mexico. I went to the truck stop and asked if they were trying to run off their customers, they said they didn't want to hear it and threw me out. Needless to say I'll never spend my usual 2000 dollars or so a year here ever again! Jerks

I stopped in on a sunday to watch some football.....I sat at the bar and had some drinks and food....everything was wonderful!!!!....the only issue I had was the price of the drinks...

I have been going to this casino for years and have never won anything over 20 dollars. I know it's gambling, but after 10 years I would like to win at least 100 dollars.

Great place to get jacked for everything you got... Highly recommend it

On a very crowded memorial day weekend we discovered, yay.. Bonfires at every site..boo.. Smoke in your trailer all night.

Lower dog park gets too much water, beware the puddles. Don't let the dogs drink from them, it's smelly water. We didn't visit the other one because it was too far from our site.

The pool is open and very filled with kids, so it must be just right. Very good for family fun.

Sites are nicely leveled, with a picnic table and fire pit. Most are rock and crusher fines, some have grass.

Trash gets picked up from your site each morning. Security drives through quite often. They enforce quiet hours pretty well.. So even with every space filled with families, it was quiet enough to sleep well.

This is a very clean, friendly atmosphere! There's plenty to do from, fine dining, to an affordable buffet, to burgers and fries. There's even a snack bar, with cups of fresh fruit! There's shopping, with a very nostalgic feel, as well. Lots of parking. Wheel chair accessible.

Great seafood buffet. I also enjoyed the choice of machines, including electronic craps, roulette, and blackjack when the regular tables aren't open.

Buffet under remodel but is the Best of all the local casino buffets. Live cooking stations.

Legends Theater has 3000 seats. 2 jumbo Tron screens. Great Concerts about once a month.

restaurants no, thank goodness. Not there to gamble, just to eat while parking RV overnight. Food at Thunder Road was good, however there is Mexican seasoning (spicy) in a lot of their entrees. Lots of peppers of various levels of heat. The steaks, lobster, filet mignon & prime rib are pricey $27-$42? Prime rib was reasonable at $10.99 I had Filet Mignon last time, fabulous! This time sirloin, it was too chewy, (gristle). The mac & cheese was decadent! very cheesy. The guacamole made at the table was terrific! Service was great, attentive & always smiling, accommodating. All the folks we came in contact with were friendly, kind and warm.

Venue was pretty decent. Machines very tight. Service was friendly. Did not stay in the hotel.

I highly recommend the Thunder Road Cantina. Blackened Prime Rib is excellent. Lots of fun machines to play on. The buffet is just "okay" don't expect much from it but all around a good casino and trucker friendly.

Stayed in RV park. Sites are long and wide. Grounds are exceptionally maintained. Took shuttle to casino for dinner and to donate through the machines.

Great host for the fights. Ladies at the restaurant were nice as well. Oh and snacks at the little gift shop are reasonably priced, especially for a casino.

Roomies excellent, casino floor is great, and check in was fast. All the eatery are closed, except the snack bar. I ordered the regular hamburger, I wish they would toast the hamburger buns, second time I had the hamburger, they use the hamburger buns right out of the bag, no toasting.

Buffett was delicious, people were friendly. One of the best Casino we have been to.

Plenty of free parking a Dairy queen or buffet inside the route 66 casino and of course lots of slot machines. Nice casino with clean restroom and staff you'll love it.

Stopped for the night on a road trip. A little pricier than we were hoping for but the room was very clean and comfortable!

It would have been helpful if they noted on their website that non New Mexico residence would be denied entry before they drove 150 each way to go there.

We had dinner at the Stadium 66 in the cadinoy. Our sandwiches were huge and delicious. The service and atmosphere was great as well. Definitely recommend and will be back.

Food was cold, they ran out of a lot of the food as well, which could be good because what they did have was not very good. The only decent thing was the salad.l, and the ramen. The new renovation made the place smaller and more disorganized. We probably won't be back for a while.

I won 1000 bucks my first time coming here. My husband won 2000 his first time. This place is the freaking bomb. Love you 66
