I found the representative sent to my house to be dishonest. He took some blame for the reemergence of the mold in my attic and offered a discount that brought their quote down to the same range as the other full price quotes I received from other companies. With the assistance of another remediation contractor, we discovered a blockage in the soffit that we believe was caused by the sealant applied by Envirovantage. This was vehemently denied as a possibility, but I was told it was my fault if this did happen because I had not cleaned the area before, and it was not in their scope to clean before sealing. After a couple weeks of communication with them, they offered another small discount. They also told me it was a different type of mold than before, which had never been explained to be caused by a lack of ridge venting. Overall, I found Envirovantage to be disrespectful to me and my home by not properly preparing us before coming to provide a service that was paid for, and in not offering any advice on what could be underlying issues causing reemergence.

We contracted EnviroVantage to do a major mold remediation in our attic. (There was an issue with ventilation that had to be corrected first.) Chris was recommended by a friend of ours that had a great experience. He came by and we went over the scope of the project and what needed to be done. When we finally got started Mike and his crew were here on time, both days and did a great job. As with any project like this there were some unforseen issues that were immediately tended to by the crew. They took care to minimize any mess and everything was explained if I asked. We are pleased with the outcome and the clear coat finish applied on all the wood makes the attic usable and looking like it is new.
Great job.

My wife and I have had EnviroVantage perform asbestos abatement on two separate occasions during my recent kitchen/bathroom remodel and more recently an air duct cleaning (following the renovation). Pros: For each project they were always prompt with responses to my questions, arrived on time and executed work very quickly. The air duct cleaning included before and after photos (which were quite dramatic) and the increased performance in our forced hot air system is remarkable. Cons: Their quotes are often the highest bid when I receive multiple bids for the same job (sometimes much higher) and in both recent abatements, I've endured minor property damage (e.g. damaged subfloor following linoleum removal, bent towel racks in the bathroom, etc.). Considering the scope of our renovations, the property damage was not a big deal to us, but it was a consistent result in both of our abatement projects. Overall, I would recommend the air duct cleaning services absolutely and would also recommend the asbestos abatement services--but I would caution that minor property damage shouldn't be surprising during such major demolition as abatement can entail.
