This doctor needs to remember to be a good person for his patients.
My friend flew across the country by request of this doctor's office.

Mr. Kaufmann didn't do his research on the file before my friend made the cross country trip and decided after reviewing the file that he didn't want to do surgery.
The doctor didn't admit his mistakes (which may have been made for good reasons) and the trip was not reimbursed for my friend.

Be sure if you are going to fly across the country that you talk to this doctor by phone to verify that your file has been reviewed! Being a specialist doesn't absolve you of being wrong or making mistakes.

I would question this doctor's integrity after hearing of this situation...

Nice people at the counter and the doctor is very knowledgeable.

Knowledgeable and friendly. I hate getting dental work done, but he makes it not so bad... definitely recommend.

Dr. Kaufman did an amazing job on my special needs son. He kept him informed as he went along and he never felt any discomfort. He was happy to attend his next two appointments without any fears. The staff were all very kind and cheerful. If you need a root canal don t think about going anywhere else. Got mine done here last year and it was a breeze! Thanks to everyone at the clinic. You will be highly recommended.

Billing system is frustrating. Receptionist is awful. They ask cash but don't direct bill to insurance. After that don't send the bill to insurance company electronically. I requested papers by fax and lady said she will but I think she forget. They need to be more transparent. If my doctor did not refer this office I would not go there. So ignorant !!

Most endodontists charge for an initial visit $100-200, which is reasonable. Dr Kaufmann wants $700 upfront which he will work off if he can help you. If he can't, there is no refund, which would be a lot for 1/2 hour and xray. Our refering dentist didnt know if he could help us, so like most working stiffs we find that $ arrangement steep. We chose to go elsewhere and had the referal changed. Ultimately your going to pay 1100-2000 ++ but the intitial consult fee of 700 turned us off. Likely a very competant dentist , but our guess is that he's not very motivated for new customers.
