Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center Reviews

I am TRULY appalled at the level of service that goes on at this apparently "benevolent" apparatus of care. Given reductions in ICU capacity across the board in California due to COVID-19, a nominal drop-off in care is to be expected. Unfortunately, the emergency care center at the Encino hospital has FAILED drastically to meet the threshold of "emergency" or "care" defined in its name. After understanding the condition that my family friend's family member was put in this hospital, I have lost complete faith in these doctors and nurses. Even without ICU's at maximum capacity, the hospital staff has gotten lazy when it comes to separating COVID-19 patients with standard patients. Patients suffering in hallways due to triage measures are ignored basic care such as using the restroom, necessary medication, or rudimentary evaluation. This is the lack compassion and attention that unfortunately foments a level of suffering and death that is absolutely unnecessary.

I would love for SOME representative from this hospital to reach out to me to ensure that this happens to NO other family in the future. If you plan on maintaining an adequate standard of care, I strongly recommend that someone puts their email below.

The staff and PA were nice and friendly and made me feel comfortable and at ease. I highly recommend this urgent care if you need to seen for anything.

This is a truly, truly uncaring and awful place. We had an emergency for my senior mom. They put a chair in the hall after taking forever to get one for us. We got no help to get my mom inside. We get inside and I get asked for insurance and ID and then to fill out a form. NO QUESTION as to how my mother is. Stay away from this place. When you need a loved one taken care of, this is not the place.

Absolutely the worst communications and not to be trusted. They allow students to use you as Guinea pigs without consent. On two occasions I have been to this hospital where I was used as a test subject for their beginners who don t know what they re doing and have to guess. Then they tell you things that aren t true and it s nearly impossible to get answers and instead get bounced around to every single department. The restrooms and waiting room was extremely unsanitary as well. No one there really seems to care for sanitation and spread prevention.

If you want to be treated unfairly and in a rude way, come here. The guy behind the counter at the emergency desk is so rude. I came in with my babe and he just said "there are no visitors allowed and I'm gonna have to ask you to leave". He could have been nicer and professional and ask in a different way. He seemed bother or in a bad mad but to be working in a place like this where people need caring and love he is not been respectful and caring at all.

The Staff Did A Amazing Job Working and Providing Services In A Pandemic.

The doctor did an amazing job I recommend anyone to go here for stitches. You might have to wait a while but it's worth it the wait also the staff will check on you to make sure okay while you're there

Reception can be very rude and slow but once u get passed them. The staff is caring, quick to help relieve pain and get what u need. It's quiet, people aren't screaming like Northridge er. Dr. Smith is excellent and knowledgeable. He helped my boyfriend last night. And then some. Highly recommend..

If you are thinking about going here I highly suggest you read the other reviews. There is absolutely NO EXCUSE to neglect an 87 year old man the way that they did. These people have zero empathy and are INSANELY reckless. You re better off staying at home.
