Poorly managed process. I decided to use this service for a needed knee surgery, torn meniscus. I had had the same surgery on my other knee a few years early and it was pretty straight forward. The doctor matching was OK and the surgeon seemed competent. The problems began at the surgery center. They scheduled me at a sketchy surgery center across town. When I arrived the morning of surgery they asked me to sign an egregious legal document that stated regardless of my having insurance I was 100% responsible for all bills and that I agreed "to pay the reasonable attorney's fees and collection expenses, including without limitation, collection agency expenses, incurred by the Surgery Center." I told them SurgeryPlus (Employers Direct Healthcare) was supposed to be covering all costs. They said it didn't matter and unless I signed their agreement they would refuse to do the surgery. I called a SurgeryPlus advocate and put them on the phone with the surgery center, they were unable to resolve the problem with the surgery center. I ended up going back to my old doctor for the surgery. Basically, this "service" was a waste of time.
If I could give zero stars I would. Had the worst experience with their team. They don't respond when you ask questions or contact them, and you have to reach out multiple times before you hear anything back. And when you finally hear from them, they give the complete runaround. I am going to submit a formal complaint with the state insurance board that outlines all my issues with them. When I google them, even their employees leave terrible reviews about them. A TRUE SCAMMMMMMMM
This company is terrible to work for, and all of the employees agree. The CEO is nothing more than a used car salesman who lies to clients, employees, and convinces employees to lie to their members/patients. The entire company and the products they have are a lie and they are not truly trying to help people. STAY AWAY!!! DONT USE!!!

EDHC is a startup company based in Dallas, Texas. Great product ran by SMU college graduates with no prior experience in their position. The highest ranked diverse person on the non technical side of the company holds a supervisor position. I bring this to perspective since it s a company based in Texas, the CEO refuses to acknowledge a bilingual team is needed. Instead, he canceled the translation line (paid $3 a minute) and makes the few people on the team who speak Spanish take the call for $0 extra. Personally, I was lied to from the start - the interview. I was verbally told my position was going to be salary. When I received my offer letter (this is what matters at the end of the day, what s in writing), I noticed it was an hourly rate job with lower pay. I took the job anyway and worked there for 8 months. I couldn t get out sooner. The CEO does NOT care about the heart of the operation aka the Care Advocates (CA s) or the most important people, the members! He truly only cares about pulling in money no matter what lies he has to tell his employees, costumers and members. There is a reason why the turn around rate on employees is so high. I don t work there anymore (since 2019) but, I know people who do. Let me tell you the same problems continue as I m typing this. My advice don t work there. If I could give 0 stars I would.
