EmployAbilities is an excellent organization that helps people with disabilities trained and ready for the realities of the current job market and provide great support and direction during the emotion job search process. The have wonderful staff that helped me find a meaningful career that matched my skills at a company ranked as one of the top 10 companies to work for.
They enrolled me in a workshop for resume and cover letter building, and weekly workshops on interview techniques and soft skills to help me give a good impression to get my foot in the door. They also helped in telling me which industries were currently hiring. I was with them for 4 months and was assigned a job coach that checked in weekly on my progress and emotional wellbeing and job specialists who sent me job postings that I could apply for.
Got a job through one of their job links and they were able to contact the hiring manager on my behalf. I couldn t be happier with their empathetic and professional approach with people with disabilities and would recommend them to anyone!

This is a fabulous organization with excellent facilities and programs, so I'm kind of surprised by any negative reviews. I'm guessing that their hands are probably tied sometimes when it comes to requirements to help people because some of the funding they receive likely has certain criteria that has to be met in terms of serving people. It's like that for any government program, so why would a non-profit that receives government funding be any different? Not saying it's right, but it is what it is and personally I think dissatisfaction ought to be reported to MLAs and government officials, not the agency trying to accommodate people with varying needs. From what I've seen firsthand, the staff at Employabilities cares very much about the clients they serve, and do a wonderful job of helping people. Keep up the good work!

So I don t understand how employabilities is allowed to turn people away, my mom is someone with a disability, and she was refused help from employabilities, for my mom that s a catastrophic loss, yeah I know she s 56 and she shakes a lot, but when someone is willing to work you should help them, not refuse them, it almost feels like discrimination against someone with a disability.

The Strive for work program is a joke

Government shouldn't continue the funding.

These people are JERKS , U tell them about your health and they say ' we can help you here with that '. You fill out an application and then talk to another staff member there about your situation, BUT you end up not hearing from them EVER AGAIN ! I have had 22 seizures and 22 mini seizures in the last eleven years and these FOOLS don't take a person who wants to work very seriously. Since 1999 I gone through this agency 3 times and once I was directed to a medicentre clinic to get a physical ( which costed me $ 75 ) only to return to Employabilities and be turned away for service - WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME ! ! !

How does this agency prevent itself not having it's BUSINESS LICENSE REVOKED - HOW ! ! !

I have been advised by my family doctor and other people to TRY this place out with regards to my health and situation. However, THIS PLACE IS A COMPLETE CROCK ! ! ! !

Very poor attitude from the supervisor who takes her frustration on you for you making personal calls which they don't need to know what your calling about. She does not personally know me and my skills for work. Not very helpful supervisor that doesnt treat people fairly and her tone is unacceptable.

I have been coming here for 5 months now. I will be graduating in September. I have nothing but respect for the staff. When I first started here I knew nothing about computers now I know how to power point, use word, excel, and how to do data. The instructors I have with life skills have helped me with my self-esteem and now I have also have more confidence in myself. The instructors I have for computers have also been a great help.
