EMI did an amazing job setting up AV equipment (TVs, microphones, speakers, etc.) for our backyard wedding reception amidst a pandemic. They were knowledgeable, flexible and most of all, ensured that everything ran smoothly for the entire event so we didn't have to worry about anything breaking or not working (which often happens with technology). I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I went here to look to buy a corner for our truss and they wanted to charge us $270 for a highly damaged cubed Global Truss corner. We ended up buying 2 brand new Global Truss corners for $400. This place is way overpriced for used equipment.

Chris in sales and rentals has been excellent and knowledge able to work with. Have had several items repaired by bill in the service department. offer flat fee to check in gear bill will give honest opinion about repair.

I have been going to EMI Rental & Sales for a number of years now and am extremely satisfied with their equipment & staff. Their new location in Robbinsdale is INCREDIBLE ! Lots of parking and a HUGE showroom where they display & demonstrate the different sound & lighting equipment. These guys are absolutely "rock solid" when it comes to their dependability and that is HUGE when you are in the mobile DJ buisness with clients that are depending on you to give your best performance without any equipment failures. Their prices are great but the personal attention you get from the staff members is what sets them apart from anyone else. I won't name any specific names. I would highly recommend utilizing the products and services of EMI. Ohyeah, and their service repair department is awesome as well. Very easy to deal with and never any surprises at the end. They are alweays very honest and upfront right from the very beginning. I can honestly say that I will be an EMI "lifer". Thank you for all you do.

This is a great rental facility. Love how their staff helps load and unload gear. Always has everything staged and ready to go before pickup. Rental order is always contains what I've rented and not missing any cables.

Service is amazing! They fully educate you on the products and make sure you have every last thing you need. The prices are fair too! They don't nickel and dime you to death for little things like cords or clamps or batteries when you rent and everything is in top condition. Always quality tested. Buying gear there is excellent too! Great pricing on new or save money by buying previously rented gear! So cool to see they have all kinds of stuff for musicians and instruments to go along with their standard DJ and sound tech equipment. It's worth repeating, the service is fantastic, always friendly and transactions are quick so you can keep on your busy schedule but if you want them to stop and explain about something to demo the product, they always take their time and are very knowledgeable. I have been a customer for almost 15 years and I recommend EMI to everyone!

We contacted Bill at EMI for a tune-up on our gym stereo system. The entire process was simple, and the service was top-notch. Everyone on staff was helpful, Bill provided a quote and advice and went above and beyond on the install and clean-up of our system. Pricing was very reasonable as well. We will definitely be using EMI for our future needs, highly recommend!

Staff are very friendly and obviously enjoy what they do. On 3 separate occasions I've come, all 3 staff were attentive, friendly and able to answer all my questions. The building was very clean and things are set up in a way that you can experience them with some hands on.

EMI Audio is the OG audio and lighting stop for anywhere in Minnesota. Ever since I was DJing dances in Highschool, Chris and his fellow employees have been nothing but the best to me. And, on top of that, they know their stuff. They always were very helpful. Great prices, great gear, great people. Enough said.

Our church just hosted our first ever Drive Thru Living Nativity this past weekend, and we used EMI to provide sound for the event. Their tech was friendly and knowledgeable, worked well with our on-site production team, and their FM transmitter allowed our guests to stream beautiful holiday music from their cars!! We were so impressed with EMI and will definitely work with them again!
