I love being at Emerson YMCA this is where I learned how to gain my strength and courage being in the water when I was a child I was pushed in a pool buy lifeguard and I guess he felt that this would make me swim and participate but it just put more fear in me but I go to the YMCA at Emerson practically everyday I enjoy being there when I first attended there I had been bedridden for 17 years my spiritual god sister Bessie took me there I've been there ever since I would have been there three years but I had surgery last year 2018 I honestly love being there when I first joined Emerson YMCA I weigh 240 lb and before I had left to have surgery in 2018 I I've dropped down to 176 lbs being in the Miracle Water that's what they we're calling it when I join the others that was already there and that's what I call it today I do not regret getting up that first day going now and I'm glad I'm there today I really love being in the gym and I wouldn't replace it for anyting God bless you all take care of yourselves and be safe at home and out and about my name is Donna Marie

Perfect example of people helping and loving people. Hundreds of children benefiting all Summer. We adults know one another name. I love to lift! I love to meet my friends who care about their health and me as well! Come join us!

I love their basketball program for young children. They have a nice fitness area and a pool you can actually swim in. Some of the other Y locations have small waterpark like pool areas, but nowhere to swim laps. They also have a scholarship program on their membership for those who receive snap benefits. There are so many programs for people of all ages. The staff is so friendly and helpful and there's a very peaceful environment here.

The Emerson Y is a convenient resource to have within this community. Although some may find the service lacking or inadequate, seeing it for what it is, the (non-profit) Y itself has a lot to offer families and those in need. This particular branch has been here for many years and will get better so long as we possitively support and encourage the improvements we want to see rather than verbally tear them down and turn people, who may be able to significantly benefit from what works, away. Not one business/branch is perfect.

Tonight the YMCA had a Halloween party at the Emerson branch. His YMCA football team last game is tomorrow so they team cancelled practice and went to the party. My 6 year old was so excited and I was of cousre willing to pay their charge of $12 to send him. However, my husband was there to chaperone and they refused to allow him in without paying same $12 entery fee. We were forced to make a choice to pay to watch our child or leave our 6 year old without supervision. Outrageous! This is in addition to the monthly fee we pay to have a membership and the full price we paid for his football before we were members (We joined in September). Unfortunately my child was not able to stay as it was far to pricey. He was upset and did not understand and the cashiers response was, Oh well. Sad!

My children and I are at this Y location at least 2-3 days per week. My three year old has participated in the Youth sports program for soccer, t-ball, and basketball. She looks forward to it each week. I like the Child Watch option while I work out in the Fitness Room. The reason for four stars vs five is due to the lack of supervision at times in the Child Watch room. Sometimes the staff has been on their phone for several minutes without looking up. I observed this from the lobby area as my child played in the room and I waited for our ride to arrive. But that's an easy fix if the staff members are made aware of the dangers that could happen from having children unsupervised. Other than that, I would recommend this Y location to anyone in the nearby municipalities.

Hands down thee worst ymca location ever. Customer service is terrible. You can walk in and stand in line waiting on assistance and a lady is sitting there taking others who just walk in and waltz past the line. Maybe we all should just waltz up instead of respecting someone s time and space by trying to do things the polite way. That s not even what upset me. I called around 12pm and spoke to one rep who said that there was spots available for swimming lessons for my son that start on Saturday and to come up today and register. I also asked if I could register my son for latch key at Wedgwood for the month of May, she said yes, come today and he can start Thursday. I went as soon as I left work at 5pm. A different rep than the one I spoke with earlier, but the same rep that didn t call to assist any people in line, but accepted walk ups, said there are no swim classes available for Saturday. Then said he couldn t register for latch key. I said the other rep told me he could register a few hours ago, so she gave me the application. This whole process is inconsistent from one rep to the next. When my son was enrolled here in latch key 2 years ago, they were sending my personal receipts to my mom who hasn t set foot in there in over a decade and was not listed on his paperwork as a parent. They claimed that she brought me there when I was a child so she is on my account and that s why she was sent my personal information. I ll be happy to see them do anything right. Frustrated and discouraged to the max. I don t know why when we try to do things in our own community, the reps always try to make it seem like such an inconvenience to them, and some wonder why we leave to support other communities with our business. I asked for the branch manager and I was given a card and told that she doesn t always come in. I m contacting the Board of Directors and I won t stop until there are results because this is ridiculous.

Nice place and friendly staff. If you're ever interested in your daughters playing co-ed basketball then find somewhere else. My daughter was super excited to play basketball for the summer, but no girls showed up. The staff tried their best to accommodate the lack of girl players. I really appreciated their effort. YMCA should maybe start an all girls basketball team to see if more girls will play.

Use to come here when I was 6 for basketball games. The memories are golden. I used to play all sorts of sports at this one actually and I was on a swim group/ team. I also used to attend their summer camps. Now I see my kids doing the same. Bottom line this is a pretty good facility.

Both my son and daughter learned how to swim at the Emerson YMCA. Because of the water exposure at the Y, most all of our vacations are centered around ocean and water activities. I am at peace when my kids are out with friends swimming.

Since I've joined, it's been pretty cool. Staff is respectful and helpful. I do feel that during the water class, the life guards need to pay more attention to what's going on in the pool, instead of out, that's not all the time though. I even have suggested joining to friends, and family.

I had my children signed up for swim lesson and the scheduling just didn t work out for us, we tried for a refund and we were told that we were going to receive one and after going months without being able to get ahold of the aquatics director and leaving numerous voicemails we are still without refund. I would definitely not recommend and most of the staff is ghetto and unprofessional.

Very poor communication. I have been requesting a refund since May for Flag Football that was cancelled due to them not finding coach. I have been Promised a refund and I've received NOTHING! I I originally signed up for my kids to have swim lessons. They advertise them but don't offer them. They offer the classes at the Chesterfield location. I'll be taking them to James Egan center instead

My entire family has a membership at the Emerson YMCA it is like home away from home. We enjoy going for every activity. My husband is an active basketball coach. My son attends basketball, swimming, and camp and we love it all. I am grateful to go to an awesome place close to home. The only thing i would increase is the weight room. It needs a bigger space a little to cramp. Other than that it is an awesome place.

I have had a horrible experience. No one ever answer the telephone nor do they response to messages. I would not recommend any spend their money at his location. The customer service is non existent. They do not deserve to receive one star.

I love the Emerson YMCA pool. I generally swim Mon-Fri. The pool staff and management are very friendly and helpful. My swimming workouts are great for general health and for the social interaction with staff and other swimmers. Good things happen at the Emerson YMCA!! : )

I enjoy the YMCA Emerson! I have a membership for my daughter's Y Club before and after program that's at her school. Now we are exploring other programs in the Y that are beneficial for my entire family. My children had expressed an interested in learning how to swim and its amazing that swimming offered even in the off months so that I don't have to wait until Spring/summer to get them signed up. I also will be signing my son up for sports to play in the winter which will keep him occupied as he is in the 7th grade. O really appreciate all the offers and programs available with the YMCA and its so close to home.
