I completed my first travel assignment in April of this year thanks to my amazing recruiter, Eliza Dawson. I m eternally grateful for her because she treated me and fought for me like a human being and not just a number. She constantly checked in on me, sent me reminders, and the sweetest
care packages. She helped me see my strength during a time I needed a cheerleader. I honestly wish I could travel more, but I know if and when I do I ll always come back to Eliza. I also recommend her to anyone who wishes to travel. She always had my best interests at heart and was great at openly communicating. That s all I could ever ask for!
I completed my assignment with Emerald in April. I liked the hospital and they loved having me. They wanted me to extend but for a couple reasons I was not able to do so.. The agency itself is fairly solid. However, what generally differentiates one agency from the next is your recruiter. Steve O was my recruiter. He is one of the least responsive and most self centered people I've encountered in over a decade of travel. He is highly unprofessional and petty. He is always bad mouthing and lying to the travelers then telling them not to say anything. Despite the fact these other travelers are your coworkers and friends. His deceitful practices are everything that is wrong with a contact with an agency. Be forewarned. Emerald is fine as an agency, but if you are assigned Steve, refuse his services. Ask for one of the other more professional recruiters. Steve had himself in mind for your career. Not what is best for you or your interests.
So I ve been with Emerald for what feels like a long time now, and I don t mean that in a bad way. If you want to be treated with kindness, compassion, and respect in travel Nursing, work for Emerald. I am nothing but grateful that a friend recommended my most awesome recruiter, Elizabeth Rose. She s the BEST thing to happen to my career by giving me the opportunity to explore my Nursing profession. She stuck by and saw me through my battle with COVID, when I had personal issues or just a bad day. Rose sent me care packages when I was sick, made me laugh when things were very tense at work, and was that friend I needed when I felt I was alone. If there ever was a Ride or Die recruiter, Rose IS that person. She s gone out of her way numerous times to help me out, and I could never repay her kindness but I certainly can represent her and Emerald Health Services at every job she assigns me to by being that great Nurse she has helped shape me to be.
So thank you Emerald and Rose for giving me this opportunity and allowing me to live my best life. I am very happy and grateful to work with you all.
I really enjoy working with Emerald Health this is my second assignment with them. I love working with my recruiter Malinda, she s the best and always take into account my best interest. The emerald experience, what an amazing experience. The team is amazing and work hard to make sure that each assignment goes smoothy from start to finish. I have not had a lot of great experience trying to start my career as a traveler with other recruiting services but Emerald has been a very great experience for me!
