It is unacceptable today to tolerate the biggest massacre of marine mammals in Europe every summer in the Faroe Islands on the grounds that it is a tradition. And it is even more unacceptable to prevent those who struggle to preserve marine life from acting.
You can not close your eyes and ignore that these killings are useless because the meat of pilot whales is not consumed by the number of mammals killed and an intolerable number of pilot whales haunts the seabed, thus participating in the extinction of 'a species necessary for the natural balance. In addition, the Faroese are fully aware of the high mercury levels in the chair of pilot whales and therefore dangerous for their health.
It is your duty to take action to preserve and protect life, preserve a marine species that is the richness of our oceans and raise awareness and protect the health of Faroese.
These killings only show our children that we can massacre for pleasure instead of protecting what is most precious.

I am extremely disappointed to see that under the pretext of "tradition" the dolphin killings are still accepted and even encouraged since the people standing up against this barbaric act are currently in prison! When will you realize that the real criminals are the ones you protect !! I did not think Denmark as little concerned with the preservation of the environment.

I beg you stop the dolphin massacre in the Faroe Islands. At one time, we did not know that these animals were endowed with intelligence, with feelings of conscience. But nowadays this is the case. You can not chase them as before without being ashamed of killing a sentient being and understanding what is happening to them.
I'll go even further and ask you to recognize the dolphin as an intelligent species with rights including not being killed for free.
