As for the security system they use, it is excellent and the staff is very friendly, but what worries me is that if you do not work or do not study, you will not get a visa, that's what the consulta gave me to understand.

The wait is normal ... there are many people, the attention was very good and fast, this is how you would have to work state employees in this country, it is necessary that people are disqualified to the vicious habits ... Thank you USA for allowing us to do tourism in your country, I know the gravity of your struggle with seditious and evil people.

Once I had the first approved CAS appointment, I showed up at the embassy with the passport tagged and the DS-160, plus extra documentation. I left the cell phone and my bag in the car (I could park it on the street, one block from the embassy, since it can only be parked by staff from the embassy)

I had an appointment at 07:30, I arrived 15 minutes early and there was already a long line, maybe arriving 30, 45 minutes before you achieve a better processing time. It all took me a little less than two hours.

In the first instance; On the sidewalk itself you will find a row with the appointment time (a sign marks it, maybe there is another row with the previous or later hours) to leave the passport at the window, and they also stamp the DS-160.
In the second instance; You make the line that is on the side of the cord that is to enter the embassy, there was a boy who rented lockers for people who had prohibited devices to enter such as cell phones and cosmetics, etc. (If you can avoid it, I saw a girl paying $ 100). Upon arrival, a security man asks you to show him the DS-160 with the seal and lets you in.
In the third instance you go through a tape as if it were an airport leaving metal content (that you could not avoid leaving before entering, such as a belt, car keys, etc.) and you go through the detector with your hands up.
There you open the door and go to the fourth instance; a row located in the courtyard to get your passport back, then make one more row to a window where you show the passport stuck to the window and support fingers for fingerprints.
Then you officially enter the embassy, the fifth and last instance: one more row, for another window, where they interview you, an informal interview where you leave the passport and the DS-160, in my case they only asked me why I travel , if it was the first time that I did it, from what job, which countries have I visited, and with whom do I travel, I did not have to use my extra documentation such as a pay stub, auto insurance bill, travel bouchers, etc.

Within a week the passport suitable for traveling arrives at your home.

I have nothing to say about a country that asks you to do this instance prior to your trip with so much demand and bureaucracy, since it is super organized and expeditious, I did it in summer and the place where it is located is very nice, but perhaps In winter, waiting in that long line outside so early would not have been pleasant.

Actually the visa application process is very orga...

Actually the visa application process is very organized and fast, as well as clearly what can and what is NOT. I saw people pretending to enter with cell phones or cosmetics, when it is indicated everywhere, it happens that we are Argentines and we always believe that "nothing happens"
The fingerprinting and photo, super fast and organized, the process at the embassy, it is ugly to line up in the sun, (more if you go in January) but hey, you stand in line that corresponds to your schedule, they welcome you and they retain the passport, you go to row 2, where you enter and they warn you again with posters and the staff the things that are NOT allowed.
Once inside it is a review like in any airport, from there to look for your passport, they scan the label of your paperwork, and verify the fingerprints again. And finally you get to the waiting room with air conditioning, they interview you in 5 minutes you go home (depending on how loaded the line is) few questions and they tell you right there that it is approved, they keep the passport to send it to you later to the DHL branch you have selected.
In case you are denied a visa, do not even think to ask WHY, for that there are some boys with boldo shirts in the living room who are there for that!

Dear, good night.

Dear, good night.
I would need you to send me the linck to complete the VISA application process through the internet. I understand that being an Italian citizen, I do not need to do the process personally but through the ESTA application.

Manage the visa for my daughter who travels to Disney, and the truth was much simpler than I expected. I had a shift at 9 but they started attending about 15 minutes earlier. In total take no more than 30 minutes. The very entertaining interview made jokes to my daughter regarding the trip, the only thing I ask is if we had a family there or someone I knew and nothing else. Ready visa approved.! They were very friendly, in each of the 5 steps and especially very fast. I am super happy.

Highly organized and respectful. He processes super agile. Go only with the papers, respecting the instructions they give. If one complies with the guidelines that they indicate, the procedure is very enjoyable and fast. The interview lasts less than 5 minutes. All very kind.

Beautiful place

Beautiful place
For tourists, a must to see it from the outside even if it is.
They told me that they do not receive envelopes or packages. This perfect employees are doing their job.
A terrorist (or a madman) could come with anything.

First of All, I don't really like putting bad surv...

First of All, I don't really like putting bad surveys unless My family and I get treated badly. I am upset and sad of what was happened today. I have a family in Mendoza, AR but most of them are US CITIZEN and they always come and visit us here if there's an important Occasions. So they have a plan to visit us again in November because of the christening for my daughter and to have a vacation, So yesterday my Sister went to the embassy in BUENOS AIRES to get a VISA for her boyfriend also the father of her child so he can go with them and visit the family here and at the same time we can finally meet him. But when they went for there appointment there was a mixed up and the date was not the right date that he should have her appointment , and supposedly they missed the first interview but when they ask if they can get another interview one person was very rude to her and told her NO! and there's no other way they can get one. So my sister was so upset and she wanted to talked to someone higher than him , long story short someone else talk to them and give them another appointment for the next day ( I would like to say thank you to that person. it was so kind of her to do that.) . So they went today to do the process and the interview but it was unsuccessful. Instead of giving them a direct answer they just said that they will look more into it because they needed a copy of his visa, so they are so confused because they went there to get a visa? and there asking for the copy? so anyway, I think it is so unfair because we know some people here in US that don't have papers and staying here illegally but when there relatives went to get a visa, they got approved right away because they lie on everything when there doing an interview and that's how they get the visa, but people that are actually honest and has the purpose to visit they denied it.
All I know is that Argentina embassy just basically pick whatever and not really looking thoroughly on the applications that they received. It's sad and frustrating. Hopefully they can look more into my family's application because its so unfair of what have happened.

Optimal service. You have to go a while before to queue. Also enter the time you have the appointment.
ATTENTION YOU CANNOT ENTER WITH CELL PHONE.
THERE IS NO WAY TO ENTER WITH CELL PHONE EVEN IF YOU TURN IT OFF.
It should be arranged before and leave it somewhere.

I had to do the VISA process for an urgent work trip. I had no choice but to go during the winter holidays, when many people go on vacation to the USA.
I had a 10.30 shift, and I left at 13:00.
The organization of the place is not all good, because once you get inside the embassy they make you wait and wait in line in your yard to enter the consulate.
Being the embassy, can not you put another system or set your patio for the winter days? 2 hours queuing outside with 6 degrees, and there were older people in the same situation as me.

WARNING: If "you are not established" (you do not study, you do not work, you do not have your own home, or children or parents to take care of), if you are not under 16 or over 60, and you have relatives or acquaintances there, surely they will not give you the visa (save yourself paying USD160 and the trip to Buenos Aires).

GUIDELINES: You can arrive thirty minutes before the assigned time to do row 1 (there are signs indicating the time). Before entering they ask you for the DS-160 form and you give the passport, and you go to row 2. The rest of the process normally lasts an hour (it can be up to two).
Upon entering they check that you do not bring prohibited items. Then they return your passport, going to the place where the interviews are given. In the interview they tell you if they give you the visa (later they send you the passport by DHL) or if they don't give you the visa (you go home with your passport).

COMPLAINTS: The companions are not allowed to wait on the sidewalk of the embassy (as if it were private property). They make them cross the street to wait in the plaza.
The security people outside the embassy (while I was waiting was a lady) have no problem throwing the items left by those who line up (eg, a pack of cigarettes, a lipstick, a lighter) . When I objected to that action, he replied that he cannot keep them in his pocket. Does the embassy provide you with a way to get rid of these elements without dirtying the public highway, or does the US do the same?

Very good organization Long lines but they move fast. It is advisable to go with all things prepared and without any element that prevents or delays the entry. Outside there are lockers for cell phones and wallets ($ 100. They are not from the embassy).

Correct, punctual and very strict, as expected, but in the good sense of the word. Regarding the visa process, they should have the option to withdraw in person and not have to pay for the shipment to a North American company.
Except for the Argentine employee who is in Security, the rest of the staff provides good attention. For her I put 4 stars and not 5.
