Ordered a wetlands package in April. Signed up for text notifications. I received one message confirming my order. However, a shipping notification or delivery notification was never sent. I checked my order page several times. There was no status update. My shade loving plants were shipped May 13th. They sat on my porch (of my camp) in the sun without attention for over a week! When I found them I m not sure if I was in time or not. They were planted right away. Fingers crossed they come back to life. I will be calling and attempting to give them my direct feedback. I have always heard great things about this nursery. It s unfortunate my first experience went like this.

2nd year i have bought from them. If it doesn't make it through the year, they replace and honor their commitment. Paying a premium for service and honesty is worth every penny. Good job guys and gals. good job! and thanks!

Drove hours and bought $300 worth of blueberry plants at a premium because "if it grows in Ellmore, it'll grow anywhere". I was told on the way out that they get the plants from another company. I drove and paid the premium for something I could have gotten at any shop.

To make matters worse, failure rate is about 40% and it's just not worth it for me to drive back to get them to honor the replacement warranty they provide.

Thoroughly disappointed, looks like a quaint place, but I felt like their advertisement was misleading and it lead me to make a bad decision.

Edit: we contacted them about the failed plants and they offered to ship replacements. They are trying to do right by us and that's a big relief, thank you!

One of if not the best resource for fruiting plants in VT. They have been around for a long time exploring what works in our strange Vermont environment. If it can be grown in Elmore good chance it can be grown anywhere in New England. The diversity of fruit trees extends from peaches and apricots, heirloom apples, pares and pawpaws.

Best take a look at their site to get a full list of what they grow.

I have found them helpful and supportive in getting my small intensive orchard up and running. By the end of next year I should have over nine plum trees, three pears, a cherry, a stand of raspberries, six varieties of grape, and a pair of kiwi.

Helping me make my little part of the world a garden of overflowing streams and fruit.

Only nursery where I was able to find a mulberry, and I m from southern VT. I traveled over two hours to purchase it. Returning this year for wine grapes. I know I won t be disappointed. Highly recommend!

Communication with this nursery is pretty bad. I was promised an order would be ready one week. That week went by. I emailed, called. Nothing. Then our truck had issues and I emailed again about the possibility of them delivering the order and *I had to give an estimate on the drive for them (google does this, of course) and they never responded to my earlier, more pressing emails.

So I rented a truck and just drive there and was met by their more communicative, attentive, younger workers who were great. Even though my order wasn t ready or in their queue, they loaded me up. It did take a while for my order to get all together of course.

In short, they do great work with propagating Vermont-hardy plants, but are almost non-responsive by email and phone, which is pretty important these days with everything being closed to foot traffic. They should really think about putting their younger staff on communications.
