This was my second time there it is a great place to relax have a drink and have some great food to eat. The service is great and you are treated very well. The menu is full of great things to eat. Have Fun
Our go-to restaurant. Their specials are always excellent- a unique variety that is hard to find elsewhere. Well-priced as well.
A local favorite, great food, great beer. A must if you're visiting Keene
The beer and drinks were good, but unfortunately that's about where it ends. The wait time once we sat down was quite long and the food was hit or miss. The sandwiches were good, but the onion rings were very soggy. Service was very slow, and we were only a party of 5.
Overall I'll probably come back for the drinks, but the food and service didn't impress me.
A little noisy due to the hardscaped interior, but a lovely waitress, delicious food, the garlic infused flat steak salad. Worth every cent of the $14 price tag.
One of my favorite restaurants in Keene. The outdoor seating and beer list are tops in the area. The burgers, wings, and the red pepper ranch will make you very happy.
What can I say. If you live or visit the Keene area this is a must try. Beer is great and food is even better.
Went here for a random get together with family. The food was good, the house brewed root beer was great, the craft beers were good. The staff were friendly and a lot of fun.
a local standard for Keene. seems like I have been going to Elm City for longer than I can remember. the Blues Burger is hard to beat, or if you are looking for something cheaper, the Knockwurst and a beer is pretty hard to beat!! Elm City is popular so sometimes the wait for a table can be longer than it should be.
Food was good. Our server, Brittany, was awful! We had to flag her down for everything!!! Stars based on service.
I really enjoy the fare at elm city. Their food always tastes great and they have the coolest selection of beer. I love meeting up for lunch there!
Went on Valentines Day for a quick dinner. The grilled chicken in my wifes spinach salad was cold. They brought another pc that had been slightly warmed. My fish sandwich and fries were also just barely warm.
Very nice, their ales are definitely a must!
We enjoyed their appetizers and the wonderful service.
Absolutely one of my favorite places to eat , drink and just get some quality time in with friends ! The food always rises way above expectation , the staff are all incredibly friendly , and it always seems to be timely service . My only complaint is that it can get a little loud when the place gets real full , but not much different than any restaurant in that way . The aesthetic here is great and the energy is even better - it's the perfect date night , or family outing destination , hands down !
The best food and beer in New Hampshire. Great wait staff and bartenders. Like a home away from home!
I actually enjoy their dishes and customer service, excellent area close to my apartment. The workers are always kind. Highly recommended.
Great specials nice atmosphere. Fun place to go with friends or family.
A little noisy but the food and service were excellent.
They're pros. One of New Hampshire's oldest brewpubs. Always a dozen beers in tap that are textbook to the styles. Food us typical comfort food like burgers, sandwiches, appetizers. I like their fries.
ECB is a stand by in Keene... I can always count on good pub food, friendly service, and quality craft beer. They've got something for everyone on their menu, and in my dozens of visits I've never had a bad experience. Their Happy Hour is also excellent - the wings are the best around, and their pints at less than $3 are a steal.
Awesome food and great service! We had the Brown sugar walnut crusted pork loin with the maple cream sauce and the Pastrami Ruban for the app we chose the artichoke and spinach dip with bagel chips so freaking good. Our waitress was right in point. We can't wait to go back and try other yummy options from the menu including the peachy Keene beer!
First time here Rick was amazing recommended beer and apps, great service and food coming back for sure
So I paid $9.00 plus tax and tip for a full size Vermont Spinach Salad. To go. This is what I got...Very disappointing. Looks like someone picked up a handful of spinach and threw it in the to go container, forgot the Romaine and rationed out the cheese and raisins like there's a shortage. (3 pieces of cheese and 5 raisins.)
Have lived in the area for 14 years. Never been til last night and I'm not sure we will return.
Went last night with friends around 730. Waited 20 minutes to sit, which wasn't that bad as they were busy. But it was all down hill from here.
Saw our waitress twice our entire meal. Waited 40 minutes for the appetizer. Meals came out 40 minutes after the appetizer and everything was messed up.
Asked for extra bacon on a BLT. Sandwich came with two and a half pieces and was told upon receiving it that they were out of bacon and they "put a ton of bacon on it" (literally laughed out loud when I took the top piece off to find the 2.5 pieces). Friends stuffed shells was basically a soupy mess and she described the sausage in it as the ones you find in spagetti O's. Friend asked for medium on his burger and got well done. Our other friend ordered chicken parm and got a cremated mess of burnt cheese and chicken.
Couldn't track down waitress anywhere. Manager was busy literally comping other tables. The table adjacent to us ended up taking their food to go because of the wait and then the manager spent a good 5 minutes at their table apologizing. We ended up flagging another waitress so we could pay and left. Bill came to $79~ and 3 of us got soda, I had a water.
I get places have bad evenings, but when your entree prices compare to that of a upperscale restaurants in the realm of Capital Grille, Cheesecake Factory and P.F Changs, you expect the same quality. Don't mind paying if its going to be good, but there's nothing worse than expensive sadness. Yes, it's Keene, but you can't expect customers to come running back when the place is a chaotic mess (that's burning everything and is out of bacon; lol that really killed me).
I really, really wanted to like this place too. There's not a whole lot of food diversity in the area and we were all looking forward to it, as none of us had been. That and we enjoy supporting the local businesses. If it's the choice between a local and chain; we usually pick the local.
For now we will continue to patron our other local eateries.
From NY, we stopped here on the way home from Maine, and this is the best Burgher ever eaten, and potato skins ever!!! Should be 5 all the way . And staff is great ,fast service!!!!
Best. Wings. Ever! Nothing more to say lol. Ok well everything else I've eaten here is amazing too but the wings are just... wow! My friends and I always tease each other with pics of wings from ECB. I NEED the sauce recipe though bc I'm now vegan and can't eat their wings (unless they decide to really impress me & a lot of Keene and put a vegan wing option on the menu!!!!!)
I love their HUGE appetizers. Good food and good service. Nice atmosphere
The beer sucks as much as the food does..its such a shame because look wise this place would be perfect..location really nice.. food rate at a 2, burger called of medium got well done peach bqq was non peachy!!!! and buffalo is reds hot with chili pepper flakes...very disappointed
That place that you go when you want a consistently good meal, with consistently good service. Someday I am going to be strong enough to make it out of there without ordering the carrot cake, though. Margarita flight was a hit!
So good!! The sweet potato corn chowder and Irish nachos are to die for and the steaks are always cooked to perfection! I love going here for date night! The service is great!
The veggie burger was very bland and kind of mushy. Other than this, everything was good. The prices are average, my pa say the beer tastes good good service. THE ONION RINGS ARE SUCCULENT AND PLENTIFUL. ALMOST LOOK LIKE BAGELS . I don t like juicing the oil-bearing batter on the onion rings, but that s my preference and you might enjoy that.
Overall very yummy good American food YUM
Great environment great food loved it. I highly recommend the chili.
great food awesome service. Will definitely go back for more
Monster C IPA beat expectations. Very good beer and a nice environment
It was horrible. Ordered the bbq burger. Burger was like a hockey puck.
Great atmospete; fantastic food; highly recommend this restaurant
Great beer. Good healthy food. Friendly service. Fast. You might have to wait for seating but the beer is worth it.
Great food, great beer! Friendly staff! Best wings in town! Awesome Chilli
The mushroom and sausage soup was excellent! Good food and great service!
The food was FABULOUS... great portions and value! Our waitress was great. We're certainly going to become regulars and have already told a lot of our friends about it!
The mushroom appetizer and the dipping sauce are amazing. It's a great place to meet friends or take family.
Good food, beer is mediocre. With so many craft breweries now, it leaves something to be desired.
Good vibe, friendly service, average beer, fairly standard food. It's worth a stop if you're in town for a day.
Over the years, this has become a destination whenever we find ourselves near Keene. It never disappoints. During the current pandemic, they are a perfect example of how a restaurant should operate to maintain business while preserving the health of the clients and staff. Seating diners at every other table, wearing masks, sanitizing tables, distancing employees, etc. Perfect. Oh yeah, the food and drink kicks butt too!
Great food and beer but our server wasn't very attentive. Prices are about what you may expect for a trendy brewery with a food menu. Great ambiance.
Absolutely delicious food and fantastic beer! Couldn t be happier, my son got the chili on the kids menu. I love when there s something other than grilled cheese and hot dogs for kids.
Good place for a stout and dinner. Smoked salmon and the wings were very good.
Went for great beer and ate delicious food too. Appetizers were great tasting and value too
Honestly this was some of the best tasting food that I've had in Keene. Great food, great experience.
It's like being welcomed home every time. Great beer. Mouthwatering food. Service is always friendly and prompt. Worth the wait, if it's busy. Might want to call ahead and make a reservation if it's a weekend at dinner time. Well worth it.
I need to know what's in their blue cheese...its THE best, and the timmy style wings are insane.
Love the place! A great bike ride out to Keene just to eat THERE! The Vermont spinach salad and the Chicken Quesada, sooooo good!
Busy lunch on a Sunday, so had a 30 minute wait. Menu is nothing special, but well executed. Oatmeal stout was tasty.
I chose based on the hood listed and really enjoyed their Mountain pale ale, very nice flavor and balance. The Reuben sandwich was stacked and tasty as were my wife's fish sandwich and sweet potato fries. If I hadn't had another 90 minutes to drive I would have given the keys to my wife and tried some other brews.
Never have dark beer when we stop in for a meal and a beer! Never! Burgers n fries are good, but bi think I am done! 2 burger were $24.00 + TX + tip,= $33! I am done!
Went here for dinner solo. Sat at the high top near the bar. The appitizer was the chicken and sausage and WOW was it good. I should have had that just as my meal. Then I also got the philly cheesesteak. The bread was to soft and the meat wasn't very warm at all. Made for a soggy sandwich with cold meat. The beer was also good. All they have is their own beer on tap and they have something to fit all taste buds.
The food was good as was their beer. The Blimey Gose was stellar and I am very particular with Sours and Goses.
Great steak and shrimp linguine & beers, of course! Passing through on vacation- glad we found this place!
Good beer selection without bizarre creations. The food and service was above average. Prices where reasonable and atmosphere was good.
I gave one star cuz u can't give Zero... This by far was the worst dinner ever! Waitress was incompetent and messed everything up from drinks to desserts and all in between. Floor was nasty with food all over along with Gum stuck on the wall. Table was sticky. Ewww.. Food was cold and took forever and had zero flavor. When asked to heat it up the owner gave nasty attitude and was snippy to my kids. Worst experience Ever. NEVER coming back to this nasty dive. Safe your money and time Don't Go HERE!
Food was good, we went on a Friday at 2pm and it was still really busy. The Octoberfest beer tasted off which brought the experience down a little but overall a good experience.
Stopped in for lunch while visiting the area last weekend and I m glad we did. Beautiful inside, friendly staff. Food was amazing and prices were fair..we had a steak and cheese grinder which came on a garlic bread grilled grinder roll and the steak was so tender and good..fries were ok and my girlfriend had a Rueben which was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Definitely worth a stop if in the area.
Turkey club is my favorite! Our waitress was Megan. Very attentive and super friendly. Love to sit on the patio and drink a sampler!
Had a great experience! Everything we ordered was delicious from soups to salads and entrees! I definitely recommend trying the onion rings, they were amazing! You won't be disappointed. Portions were large, everything was served hot and our waiter was on point. Four of us had dinner, appetizers and drinks for under 100.00! Great experience at a reasonable price.
The best brew in the area. Best wings HANDS DOWN! Best burgers in the area. Local who... 5 what?
Waited for a table for two only to have two other customers come in 15mins later & get a seat immediately.. Killed my appetite...
