This is our go to place for any special occasion!! The food is absolutely delicious and the service is impeccable. Thanks for another wonderful evening
Great wine selection. Love this place. Food is amazing
Impeccable service......thank you Corey and Rodney! Delicious food!
I have eaten here twice and both times have been exceptional. The staff are all very friendly and attentive, and Scott in particular is a fantastic waiter. You can't go wrong here, from heart of palm salad with crab to fried oysters to Peking duck confit . But I particularly loved the bread pudding with bacon brittle swirl ice cream on top. It was so good I almost started to cry. You really should try this place!
Great experience! Wonderful food and service. More intimate than the larger chain fine dining places!
The atmosphere of this place is great, it really is a nice space, and they've done a good job in creating what feels like an intimate setting. Nice space, wonderful service, good food. My only complaint (which is probably more of a curiosity), some of the entree proteins were HUGE, and others so tiny they required no more than two bites; I'd definitely recommend asking about that before you order. I ordered the pork tenderloin and it was 1x2in at most, it seemed like it should have been on a tapasmenu, and not an entree. Otherwise : Check it out.
My husband and I come here for special date nights and birthdays. The service feels like you are the only table there and we are always treated with the utmost respect. Staff are managed very very well and are all knowledgeable on their wine list and the farm to table concept of each item on the menu! It is seasonal so if you go one week and love what you get it may not be there if you find yourself going in-between seasons! We love the fried okra and halibut and pasta options for the vegetarians! One of our favorite spots in fort worth.
Wow, what a great meal! Everything was outstanding including the wine recommendations, can't wait to come back
The food was superb once again. The first time I came with a group but last Friday we celebrated my significant other's birthday. The server Ryan made recommendations and really knew his stuff. He was right when he explained the portion sizes are just perfect where you don't feel over-stuffed. The music was totally awesome since my boyfriend loves old soul. Every item from start to finish was made with value and care. Kudos to the chef, staff, including valet. I truly enjoyed this place.
A true fine dining experience and stripped of all the gross commercialization dripping from most every other fancy pants restaurant in Fort Worth. 5/5 food, service, and atmosphere.
Nice restaurant for a special occasion. Menu selections are a bit pricy but wonderful.
Food was excellant and wait staff was great. The food was to die for!!!!
Great food and great service. Wanted to take my wife somewhere nice for her birthday. This was a great choice. The restaurant uses local ingredients on all their dishes, and boy that makes a difference! I went with the seared duck and my wife went with the Veal Milanese. The wait staff was awesome and they able to answer all my questions about where they get their local ingredients. The appetizers were also great and the dessert was amazing. You have to try the bread pudding! I want to try everything on that menu but the items change regularly due to the local ingredients being available. Can't wait to go back!
Excellent farm to table dining experience. The barbeque shrimp were excellent and I really enjoyed my pork chop, too. The portions are an excellent size for a lighter meal. The attention to detail and the mix of flavors makes this a great dining experience
The food was amazing, service very good (thanks Scott!) and the wine was very good as well! We would recommend it highly. Bread pudding was best in DFW.
Unassuming from the outside, with bright and clean decor on the inside.
Service was excellent, and the chef's steak was heavenly.
My wife had heard about this place and I am glad we tried it. Great atmosphere with terrific service. The food was wonderful and it made for a very nice start to a Saturday evening....
Thoughtful, well-prepared menu in a relaxed, comfortable setting. Helpful, but not obtrusive, staff.
Ellerbe Fine Foods is one of the top five restaurants in Fort Worth hands down! The farm to table menu which changes seasonally ensures something new and amazing always. When I first discovered this place; I ate here several times a week. As I moved to mid cities my wife and I try to make it here monthly to bimonthly as we love the excellent service, food, and atmosphere!
The food was interesting and delicious. The Dessert was amazing!!!!
Phenomenal! We had a really great time here and thoroughly enjoyed the food and wines we were served. I think my favorite dishes were the fried quail and gumbo. Wine knowledge of the somm was excellent. Everything was perfect.
One of the best restaurants in Fort Worth. Farm to table menu with excellent wines. Maw Maws bread pudding is a staple.
Ita a cute and elegant place in a nice part of fort worth. All their food is locally grown which means it had no perservatives. Its also all fresh and organic. The menu chanfes everyday and nothing on the menu will disappoint you. The workers are really nice and I enjoyed my lunch there
Great experience, great local food! Waitress could explain everything on the menu, great suggestions! I will be back!
They did it again! Last night my wife and I had another outstanding meal and experience at this jewel of a restaurant! Scott was our waiter and, as always, his recommendations were spot-on and he met our tastes and expectations and then some! The wine, appetizers. entrees and desserts were delicious in their own unique way and left us planning and discussing the next opportunity we will have to enjoy another meal at Ellerbe's. If you haven't tried them yet...it's time!
Unbelievable flavor combinations! Truly a one of a kind experience. Everything has always been cooked to perfection. Surprising and unique pairings. The menu is always changing with the seasons and it never fails to surprise! Perfect place to go and enjoy yourself. Dinner on average takes us 2 1/2 to 3 hours here start to finish. I'm sure you could rush through your courses if you wanted but why would you?! Enjoy yourself, the food, wine and service. We have always had Jose as our server and his attention to detail and warm hospitality is second to none. I cannot recommend this place enough for a truly unique experience.
Great farm to table joint with a knowledgeable and attentive staff. I had the cod and it was wonderfully done.
The atmosphere and service was great! We enjoyed the experience and the food was absolutely delicious. We began with the cheese plate that definitely made our moth water. For our main courses we ordered the Bass and Rabbit, both phenomenal. The best part was the bread pudding with the tres leches ices cream. Perfect date night without the kiddo!!
The food is quite good for its cost, well located and coordinated.
Modern relaxing atmosphere, prompt service, upsetting meals. Unfortunately, for the price, we needed more than two of the three.
We ordered the Louisiana Maque Choux with Bay Shrimp, Roasted Black Cod, and Chef's Choice Steak.
(good) The appetizer bread with whipped butter and Hawaiian rock salt was a fun start. The crunch of the salt nicely complemented the soft chew of the bread.
(good) The Maque Choux reminded us of a similar meal we'd recently enjoyed in New Orleans, full of flavor and earning the right to it's name.
(good/bad) At this point, we were excited for our entrees and did not have to wait long. Service was great! We received our meals in short time. After taking the first bite, my partner and I gave each other the same look - somewhere between letdown and comical disbelief.
(upsetting) I'm no chef, nor my partner. In fact, I'm rather bad at cooking. However, after leaving, we both agreed that our entrees tasted a lot like something we'd made ourselves out of a cookbook - lacking something, too much of something, and maybe a wrong ingredient or two. An experiment if you will, certainly not something fitting for our anniversary.
(bad) My partners steak was chewy and lacking flavor. To be fair, we were given a warning by the waiter when she ordered the steak, something about the cut not being typical, and that there was no fat. We brushed this off, trusting that if it were served at this restaurant and truly the Chef's Choice, he or she would know how to make whatever the cut was into something delicious. In the end, she let me know she would have preferred a certain steak from a certain restaurant down under.
(bad) My roasted cod had too much horseradish breadcrumb, and too little mushroom and garlic flavor. The overload of breadcrumb gave the meal an unappetizing grainy texture, with the horseradish reminding my nostrils of a poorly portioned cocktail sauce. The lack of mushroom and garlic left me wanting more of two flavors and textures I love - ones I feel really would have saved this dish.
(upsetting) We came looking forward to ending our meals with dessert, as we had been advised to partake in all the courses. Ultimately, we decided to cut our losses and grab dessert elsewhere.
(good) With the receipt came a tasty banana cream treat. The car park was only across the street, and valet is available if you're into that sort of thing.
We're not picky, I swear. Based on the glowing reviews, I'm tempted to believe we got unlucky. However, given the price, we're unlikely to test our luck again. I hope everyone else has a better experience than we did.
Excellent service (if you get Trey you are in for a treat!) The food was fabulous and I can hardly wait to go back. The summer menu is amazing.
I really wanted to love this place since the online reviews were great. But my experience there was just okay. The reception that we got from the hostess was lukewarm when we enter the restaurant. I give the service 3 stars for adequate. We were not greeted by our waiter when we were seated at the table. He happened to be a foot away from our table. However, he was so preoccupied with the table that is adjacent to us that he was oblivious to our presence. He walked past our table several times yet he didn t say hello to us until he finished taking away their dinner plates, took their dessert order, served them dessert, and filled up their water. We shared a long booth with four other tables. So we were surprised that he didn t acknowledge us. I do want to give him credit for having good knowledge about the menu and the wine. He never filled our water. We had to ask for it to be filled. I give the ambiance 1 Star. Our table was 2 feet next to the other table. We share a long booth with strangers right next to us. Terrible place for date night. Several gnats were flying everywhere around the tables. We killed 2. I give the food 4 Stars- salads and entrees were great, dessert underwhelming. I wanted to be Wowed and it was just Meh! Compared to my Clay Pigeon 5 Stars overall experience, I give Ellerbe 3 Stars.
To Owner: Yes you may contact me.
Excellent meal with perfect wine pairings, but the food wasn't on the level I would have expected for the price. Everything was delicious, but it didn't have that little bit of *special* that you want at this price point.
A special destination evening for you and that someone special. Incredible wine list. All their dishes are perfectly procured. The bread will melt in your mouth. Enough said.
The food was DELICIOUS! I had one of their specials at the time. It was a pork Schnitzel with spaetzle and cabbage, and it was fantastic! Their bread pudding dessert was super tasty as well!
I had a reservation for 7:30pm on a Wednesdsy for 2 and got there at 7:20pm and the guy wouldn't look me in the eye. He said the table wasn't ready but no info as to how long. I got a racist vibe. This place is too expensive to be rude and racist. Richard King was his name. It was a week day and I don't have to give my time, money, or attention to rude places.
Beautiful 40th anniversary for my sister n brother in law. Food and beverages fantastic, and the wait staff were excellent
We always love the great service, varied menu, wine list and atmosphere at Ellerbe. No better place to get a meal in DFW!
One of our favorite places in the world to eat! Thank you Ashley for the service and Molly for an incredible evening which can only be had at Ellerbe's!!! Amazing place.
Seasonal menu. Great place to celebrate a special occasion. Some of the best and creative dishes ever
Went for lunch. Efficient, friendly, and delicious!
Excellent Fort Worth dining spot. Service can be a bit slow but the sommelier made up for it. The redfish is exceptional as are the steaks. We also tried the cheese plate and tempura vegetables.
Love their dinners, love their lunches even more. Great place to take clients-- they have something for everyone. The Magnolia location is great, since I have a lot of buyers who want to look at houses in Fairmount. I just wish they were open for brunches on Sundays-- one of my greatest wishes! They have a great wine selection with discounted prices for take home bottles.
Nice service and great food. On the pricey side but worthwhile for a special occasion.
Charming and unique dishes. Great for a special meal.
Let's just say I had a really bad experience, which is surprising given the amazing reviews. I guess it could have been worse... if I died.
Exquisite, farm to table fine Dining, with super friendly staff
Top notch food and wine, don t miss out on this great restaurant.
Had a light lunch, chicken and sausage gumbo. Really good. Nice atmosphere
My favorite restaurant in Fort Worth! Food is excellent, staff are attentive and lovely, and I appreciate both the upscale interior design and the charming patio. Highly recommended!
It was Good for my 1st time haven't been back. I do remember our waiter made the experience better.
Locally sourced is a relative term. Some items like gulf shrimp are as local as they can be while still not being so close. But the commitment to as close as possible sourcing and as fresh as it can be, makes a great foundation for this restaurant. Our waiter, Bryan G., proved both knowledgeable of the food and savvy with the service, providing an excellent balance of educating our party and giving us time to talk. Ellerbe's is a little pricier than other locations in the area, but the value for value is solid. I recommend it!
