Good American food (I ordered hamburger) and good show. You must make a queue of more than 1 hour to be able to sit down and in addition to 20% of the tip, they ask you for more tip for the singers. It seems unfair that waiters, in addition to being singers, have to make a living with tips ...

We were looking forward to eating here before we saw a show and were immediately "greeted" rudely by the hostess. Did not even get in line to eat at the restaurant. Welcome to NY as a New Yorkee myself.

First the positive, the singing was great and entertaining. Our daughter loved the environment and enjoyed the experience. The wait staff was ok, but considering the size, juggling singing, and waiting on us I can understand the situation and that didn't really bother us. We also loved the idea of supporting the singers as a stepping stone to Broadway. The bad, to say the food was mediocre was an understatement this was generic food that left everything to be desired. My wife described the blueberry muffins as the worst she has ever had. The food was definitely not worth the price. Now the hostesses... Well they didn't seem like they wanted to be there and were busy chatting with themselves, rude, and flippant. Overall we wont be going back but it still was an interesting experience.

This was an unforgettable experience: Cabaret whilst eating breakfast! The singers were all really good, many of them are performers resting between theater gigs. They were all very friendly and helpful as waiters too. The food was on the better side of average, but you don't just come here for the food!

The performances were amazing, but that's about it. the food on the other hand was average, and the waiter was terrible, I understand that they are under a lot of stress, but we are not giving them a 20% tip to be rude and inattentive the entire time. if you are going to this restaurant for good Broadway entertainment, it great. but if you are wanting good service and entertainment, don't bother.

If you like tourist traps where they sing current Pop songs and Broadway hits, you'll probably like it here. The food isn't anything to write home about, and the drinks are expensive and not worth it. A+ to the waitstaff/performers who keep the show going day after day.

Went here around 12:00 for lunch as a party of 3. Intended to go for breakfast, but we got a late start. Line went by fast! Food was adequate. We were in a breakfast mindset, and the only breakfast item available was a egg and cheese omelet. We decided to get a few appetizers since the omelet just wouldn't do, haha. And of couse we got adult milkshakes. Totally superb. The staff was attentive and super entertaining! Definitely will make this a regular stop during future NYC visits. It's definitely an unqiue joint full of hopeful talent!

It's great to hang out while having dinner and the waiters sing familiar songs. Very enjoyable They offer you free tap water. The only thing, the food is somewhat higher but, I repeat, it is worth living at least once

We waited in line for about half an hour to get in and there was a nice atmosphere when we got in. Where we were seated was very cramped and close to other people. The food was good but nothing special. We paid a lot for breakfast(see receipt below) and they were asking for additional tips. The singing and dancing was good and it was something different to experience. I wouldn't go again but something that's worth experiencing once. People who are into the older classics would have enjoyed it more aswell. Oh and when I ordered pancakes(which came with bacon and an egg) to get maple syrup was 2.75 extra which is outrageous like who has pancakes without something nice on them?

Gosh where do I even start???? The food is fantastic, the singers are all so talented and friendly, everyone is happy and excited to be there, it's such a great experience. The wait is ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT! The moment you step in and sit down, everything is so much better. I went there every day during the 3 days I stayed in New York, and each time my server was super personable and just so ready to become an instant friend. My second day I had Chris, and not to pick favourites but that man... He's so talented and friendly and didn't mind at all when I started gushing about musicals, and returned my enthusiasm every step of the way. He remembered me and my friend the next day and gave us autographed business cards! Like, how cool is that?? There was also Mollie, who sang BEAUTIFULLY and was the cutest thing! If you make a request, they will try their absolute hardest to make it happen for you. I asked if anyone knew Natasha, Pierre and Great Comet of 1812, and the girl who did, Poppins, took the effort to look up the lyrics and did an AMAZING JOB!!!!! It's just such a great experience. Please please go and donate as much as you can to Phillip!! These amazing people deserve to go on broadway, so definitely make it a stop during your trip!!!

Thursday January 10 at 10pm was happy to see this place was still open after leaving a show. Walked right in behind another customer who was immediately seated. Several other people came in behind us. We were all promptly instructed to go stand in the line outside . THERE WAS NO LINE! As my wife and I turned to go outside as instructed the people behind us got seated.

I turned around and went back inside to ask why we were told to go stand in a non-existent line outside while they seated someone who came in the door after we were told to go outside. The response was we were coming out to get you . All this took place in less than a minute. Why could we not just have sttod where it was warm for 60 seconds?

Touristy and kitschy place. The service isn't very good and they automatically add a service charge even if you're not part of a group. There are much better diners in the vicinity whose food and service is of much better quality and less expensive.

Food was almost as entertaining as the staff, and good too. There once was some controversy about not paying their staff enough for serving and performing. Seems they have remedied that.
Best wishes to all who work there, in achieving their aspirations.

After spending more than an hour in line to get in to dinner ... Finally the show came.
The waiters / singers do it quite well, they cheer up a lot and it's fun.
Food not bad but overpriced (even for New York)

For the food I would not go here again. It was different than ordered, the steak was not medium, but through, the pancakes were too dry. For the show though, I would come back anytime.

Edit: second time here: service is.misarable was pretty empty and we had to wait for seated. Waiter was not very polite. Food is overpriced. Not coming to this place again.

The place is great! It's very different and fun, the stuff is AMAZING, very talented. You have to wait outside cause it's very popular and the tables are small and not very comfy. It's a little expensive but it's totally worth it, the food is good and the show is unforgettable.

I really wish I could give this place a 0. The waitress Rachel was the worst. She waited on us twice during the entire hour and a half we were there. The only reason why we were there so long is because we had to wait 40 minutes to flag her down to give us our bill. She threw the tip we gave her back at us because we didn't give a full 20 like the menu says since I requested they take the automatic gratuity off since two of the meals we ordered were wrong and we had to send them back TWICE! Never sent a dish back in my life until this experience. Avoid this place if possible. All the five stars are from local reviews probably getting paid to rate and offset the terrible reviews from real customers.

There is always a wait out the door for this place. It's very unique and worth it for first time visitors to New York. The food is ok, but you are really going in to see the performances, and for the experience itself. Some very talented people for sure. And the MC was funnnnnnnnyyy!!!
