Grateful to have such a responsive police department in Elk Grove. Every call I have made has been addressed in a timely manner in some way. Thank you, EGPD!

My one star review is VERY generous ... you are absolutely ignorant of Elk Grove City Ordinances!

I called into Elk Grove Police department dispatch today (9/30/18) because someone was going through all the recycle bins in the neighborhood. I was told by a female dispatch officer that it is (not illegal) for anyone to go through my recycle bins. She advised me that someone would be sent out (only) because they were making a mess onto the streets. Let me educate you Ms Dispatch Officer..... IT IS ILLEGAL for anyone to scavenge through my Recycle bins without my permission.....

Here is the ELK GROVE CITY ORDINANCE.

ORDINANCE No. 10-2010
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ELK GROVE CA

30.10.070 Scavenging Prohibited.

A. No person shall open, look into, search through or remove solid waste from any other person's solid waste receptacle without written permission of the individual or entity that pays for solid waste handling services with that receptacle or owns that receptacle

B. No person or entity, other than the collector authorized by the City Manager or by the contract to collect solid waste at that location, shall remove or collect recyclable or salvageable materials placed by any person in a bag or container labeled for the use in connection with the recycling program.

Please stop telling the community this is legal when it is clearly (illegal).

Do the community of Elk Grove a favor and educate yourself before you begin spreading your false assumptions on VERY BASIC Elk Grove city ordinances.

Called last night along with multiple neighbors about a huge underage party going on in a neighborhood house. Hundreds of drunk underage kids. It took over 2 hours and a car accident for anyone to respond. I counted at least 3 ambulances leaving the scene between 1 am and 3 a m. Tonight they are at it again and I called 3 hours ago and no response. I called back and was given huge attitude by the phone answerer girl and told "it's still pending" I guess someone needs to get sent to the hospital or die to get a response. Oh wait maybe I'll get in my car and go run a red light, that usually gets the attention of a good 3 or 4 eg police cars.

Tremendous heroic action as a police officer breaks window as car is on fire and saves mans life. Start a go fund me and give this officer some money..wow.he saved mans life as if it was his own family...police dept and police officer...just a wow.thanks.

Very understanding and fair in dealing with the mother of my kids and my custody issues when it comes to court orders. Nothing but positive feedback for these awesome officers!

If your life is in danger do not contact this police department please. If you see someone cross an intersection on a yellow light or someone J walking give them a call so they can go immediately because that s the only time they will!

As the race was going on today and had all the streets blocked off I couldn't get to work .. I stopped and talked to one officer at first who was very nice but also wasn't sure how to get me in since there were many people racing down the street.. So I made a phone call to the non emergency department to see if there was a way an officer could let me into work (The Commons Senior Living) and the lady was VERY respectful and helpful.. after about 3 minutes of being on hold and officer had came up to my car and escorted me to work to get me there on time! Thank you EGPD for helping me out! I couldn't appreciate it more!

These cops will literally look at you come to a complete stop at the light and pull you over for accelerating to fast say you're speeding, or they'll be a mile behind speeding themselves just to catch up to you say you were speeding because they assumed if their speed gauge is 70 that means you were going 80 they have no logic or know the laws of physics. A whole bunch of skin heads work here

They answered their phone quickly, took care of a problem at my park promptly. Great job!

Professional department. I love seeing their presence in the community. Great Officers!
