Horrible!

Horrible!
Staff has no control over the children here.
My son went here for the 30 day assessment that they couldn't even complete. (YOU HAD ONE JOB!) They tried to convince me that Yoga, and Aromatherapy would be greatly beneficial to my son. Along with screeching like an eagle every morning. At some point my son was even able to take a staff members keys from them, and locked them up. They also refuse to pass on his records. This is the worst place for your children, and they should be shut down. Nothing but hippie liberal nut jobs working here.

As a former client, I have some things to say here.
1. The "24 hour Behavior Packet" these guys do only punishes the clients for their symptoms. It's not effective whatsoever.
2. They apparently do not know what psychosis symptoms are. I have Schizophrenia, and was having symptoms. All they would say to me is "You're faking it".
3. Sometimes, your clients actually need to go to to psychiatric hospital, instead of being restrained. Being restrained won't give them an acute med change. Being restrained won't give them around the clock nursing staff observation.
In conclusion. Take your kid to a better facility. It's for the better interest for your child.

The upper leadership doesn t treat residential staff fairly. If you have any type of disability as a staff or strainer then you are a target for everyone. The company doesn t follow ADA laws at all. Great staff quit or get fired for doing their job when no one else will help them.

They don t even deserve 1 star.

Today my family and another one was assaulted by children on the property for no reason. The adults "in charge" and other families, except the other one, did nothing. This place is not safe or healthy for anyone. I'm ashamed of the staff and volunteers there. No one should be treated this way ever. Over seen more people stand up for people on the streets than here.

Regarding the residential facility- it is vastly flawed. This place was a joke for my child. Our case worker who delt with us from Eliada dropped the ball on so many important issues. You are told your child will go to school here. However, I never received one bit of information on what her grades were. How my child was doing with school. And in the end we were told not much schooling was even done. We had the impression our daughter would be in a safe secure facility, yet she was in the ER every few days due to lack of staff supervision. When you are told your child is monitored 24/7 upon arrival... That's not true. I suppose they peak in to see if the child is okay from time to time. We were not notified on several occasions from Eliada that our child had been taken to the ER at Mission hospital. It was only when mission called us to notify us, we then new our daughter was there. Not knowing why or receiving this information from Eliada first was beyond frustrating. I brought this to the case workers attention, she stated that they were overwhelmed at that time, and it wouldn't happen again and we should have been called. Let's just say it did happen again. This facility does not have your child's best interests at heart as they say. We were lied to so much! Don't accept the 1st facility or second. I recommend you do your research...they want your child moved once there discharge date is coming up, they do whatever possible to tell you they cannot keep them and you must choose this facility or we are sending your child home. When in reality, the facility we wanted most for our child to be sent to was not being sent paperwork needed for our childs transfer. The case worker told me, that this placement just wasn't responding back with a bed update available. False! Do yourself the favor and look into other places. Most state funded places are horrible I know. But I can assure you there are others that do what's most important for children instead of just wanting to gain a paycheck. I don't want another parent to go through what we have been through with this place!
