Eli's Barbeque Review

Great place to spend an evening with family and friends. Unfortunately, no brisket on the menu. Ribs were pretty close to what the great BBQ Revue at Madison Ave offered back in the day.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, outdoor seating area was great on a nice Sunday afternoon. The food...pulled pork was way to salty, mac and cheese tasted like it came out of a box, cole slaw had no taste, beans were uninspiring at best and the bbq sauce was...meh. Go here for the ambiance, not the food.

Great atmosphere and kid friendly. Bring a cooler with your own drinks, and sit down for some of the best BBQ in Cincinnati. There is usually a wait for food, but it is well worth it. Seating is mostly outdoors (covered).

I finally after many years got the chance to try Eli's and it exceeded all my expectations. The meal was very quality and cooked perfectly, the sauce was perfect for the meat, the sides could shine all alone by themselves! Definitely worth a visit if you like barbecue!

Really good place to eat out. Tried out pulled pork sandwich it was really good. Loved the mashed potato side as well. They have bring your own beverage policy in case you plan to bring your own. Also loved the outdoor sitting area.

One of my favorite BBQ joints in the city. There's always a crowd so try to go during off-peak hours unless you don't mind waiting. Their prices are more than fair and every single menu item is delicious. Try the jalapeno cheddar grits!

Best BBQ I have ever had. Get the cornbread too. Yum!

Second time there. Pulled pork extremely salty -first time not so. MAC + cheese very ordinary. Beans excellent. Turkey excellent. Jalapeno corn bread stale and should have been thrown away. Very uneven. Monday night apparently not optimal.

It was a bit claustrophobic and not the cleanest, but the food was amazing! Not sure I would eat at the restaurant again, but I would order the food to go anytime. We were a groupf of 7, outside there was plenty of room to accomodate a large group (much larger than ours even), inside was much tighter and better for small groups. However, across the 7 of us, we tried almost everything, and no one was disappointed with their food. Personally I had the ribs, and they were the best I have ever had. There was a lot of meat per bone, and you order by the bone, so definitely something to keep in mind (I ordered 6 and could only eat 4 of them even). And the prices were great for the amount and quality of food you got!

The food was phenomenal and reasonably priced. I ordered the smoked turkey sandwich and was taken aback by how delightfully seasoned and tender it was. And as someome who generally avoids BBQ, I really enjoyed their special BBQ sauce on the side.
We were able to sit outside and enjoy our meal whilst being socially distanced from other patrons. I cannot wait to go back!

Eli's is my favorite BBQ joint in the state. Try the pulled pork, especially with slaw on it!

Was very surprised. Didn't expect much but may be the best pulled pork I've had. The jalepeno grits were awesome as well.

Uber eats here a few times during lunch time. Both times the pulled pork is hard and the food always taste like it s been sitting out. Definitely won t be a returing customer. Sweet meats in mt Washington is where it s at !!!

This bbq place is Over Rated . Not much sides to choose from. The ribs were sub par. Mac and cheese, was just ok. Can t see why this place made one of Cincinnati s Best? The bbq sauce tasted like tomato sauce out of a can.

Wow, extremely good bbq, if I lived closer I would probably weigh 600lbs by now.

Low key restaurant for sure. Got me a pulled pork and full slab of 12 bones hickory smoked ribs. Didn t want to leave the place. Nice, and I mean nice people work here. Give the loaded hot dogs a quick try. They will have you ordering more after the first bite. Little gem of place.

Very well seasoned and delicious smoked offerings. It is great to have real smoked food that you can eat without sauce if you so choose

First off, if you didn't know, Eli's is BYOB. The outdoor area is awesome for dinner and drinks. The ribs are some of the best out there!

Ribs are costly for the amount you get. Sides are also small for the price. Not worth it for what is paid.

The ribs were fantastic. I dream about them still. The Mac and Cheese was everything I have ever imagined creamy, cheesy goodness could be. The coleslaw was inspirational.

Thought I'd love this place turns out I was wrong. The meat was so dry. I don't eat bbq sauce so without the sauce it was rubber. I had to stop and buy a bottle of a1 sauce. Should send them a bill for my $6 a1 sauce since I used the entire bottle to try to help the meat out. Also aye there about a year ago and it was better. Since it's got popular they are rushing the food.

My favorite place to eat. It was my favorite place now they turned racist just lost me as a customer.

Food was great...nats were a problem tho...bring some bug spray with you.

Even during covid precautions, Eli's provides a wonderful atmosphere and a very pleasant, socially distant, heated tent. Within you can enjoy they best pulled pork, ribs and smoked turkey that Cincinnati has to offer!
Eli's is hands down one of the best bbq spots in the entire country!! Try to argue. You'll lose once you take a bite of the site smoked pulled pork, topped with house made cole slaw!
I give this super chill, most delicious, bbq joint 5/5 stars. I wish I could give it more.

The staff was rude. The pulled bbq was burnt and cold. The mac'n'cheese was nasty.

We have been going to Elis for years, but the last 2 times were nothing but disappointing. Don't get me wrong, the atmosphere is still amazing, but prices went up and the ribs got smaller and smaller. I'm not shaming the prices going up, I get it. But to go from big, juicy, perfectly seasoned ribs to tiny, super dry (about half of them were jerky-like) was so sad.

I'm from Cleveland but Eli's is a must stop anytime I'm in Cincinnati!! Excellent food!!!

Great ribs and sides. The prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is very much like a local bar, so don't expect much there, but it's comfortable. Had two people playing bluegrass while we were there. Nice, casual place.

You cannot pick up a rib without meat falling off, you cannot eat the grits without falling in love, even the slaw is balanced between refreshing and sour.
These ribs are what make men weak and women swoon. It's like a pig dipped in sugary goodness transported by angels right to your mouth.

So good it's worth the drive from Indianapolis just for the tips. Everything I've had there has been delicious. The staff is friendly as well. Ample outdoor seating which is good during the pandemic.

BBQ, yeah, super delicious. Cool location to meet with coworkers. Bring your hunger - portions are filling. Kinda of like a place in Houston that I enjoyed.

Yum! If your a vegan go someplace else. FIrst off its a BBQ joint no Tofu here and second the sign has a pig on it not a carrot. So, if you like dead animals cooked to perfection with sweet saucy deliciousness then stop here. The sides dishes are pretty great also! Eli's keep up the the great work!

Fantastic fantastic best in city pulled pork BBQ sandwich. This location ha outdoor seating and restrooms and limited indoor seating. The BBQ sauce is intoxicating (no alcohol involved).

One of the best pulled pork sandwiches I've ever had...anywhere!

This is a "must-have" if visiting Cincinnati. The inside is small (very cool though) but there is plenty of outside seating. Take note - the best thing about this place is it is BYOB! Bring a cooler & grab a growler or two at one of the nearby breweries to enjoy w/ your meal!

The turkey is great, the mac & cheese is thick & super cheesy, & the jalepeno cornbread & jalepeno grits are ridiculous! I've even had the hot dogs & they're great too. Make sure to ask for some bark (crunchy stuff) & sprinkle it on the hot dog or in the mac & cheese.

You really can't go wrong here! Especially on a nice day...sitting outside...drinking a cold local craft brew. One of my all time favorite places to bring out-of-towners!

One of the top BBQ places in Cincinnati as well as the tri-state area. Wish they would have more options for sides .
