Good company and fair. Can take a little bit to get a response, but the work is done very well

In the summer of 2017, I contracted Elf to perform some landscaping for the home that my 78 mother lives in. The owner walked the property and made grand promises about quality and reassured me over and over that things would be done properly. Well, he lied and took almost $6,000 for the terrible work.

1. Elf's was supposed to come back to reseed 4 weeks after the first seeding. They never came back - even after numerous calls.
2. All 5 plants that they put in our yard died and did not grow back this spring.
3. They did not cover all the areas with black plastic / fabric like they promised. We now have weeds coming through all rock areas. This section of work alone cost $1800 and looks disgraceful
4. Elf's never returns our calls and my mother is devastated with the quality of work. These people should be ashamed of their 'SCAM". They are nothing but dishonest crooks!

Last year I contracted with Elf's Landscaping to haul in loam, level over a new septic system and hydro-seed the entire area. The work they did was very good and the grass this year is has returned and looks good. My concern is that during the process the final load of loam they delivered was dumped in a different area other than where the first loads were dumped. This caused the dump truck to break through the old septic tank in the yard. I showed the Elfs crew onsite where the old tank was and I showed the gentleman who came out to bid the job where the tank was. Once the truck was removed Elf's did come back and fill the whole with sand or gravel and then added loam over the top. This Spring settling from the winter caused a major sink hole (about 3 feet deep by 5 inches wide and 18inches long) while the remaining portion over the old tank sank in about 6-8 inches. I called elf's and left 5 separate voicemails asking for guidance, I called and once talked to a lady in the office and she advised someone would get in touch with me, I filled out the online support form from their website looking for guidance. These 6 calls and 1 online request have thus far been unanswered. I began making contact in late March. I have since added 7 5-gallon buckets full of sand to the sink hole and will be getting some more loam to fill in the entire depressed region and them I will reseed the area myself. I called looking for guidance from the folks that make a business out of this stuff, yes it would have been nice if they took care of it, but I never in any of my messages suggested that I expected them too. I needed help and they blew me off. My final assessment is this; yes they did a good job putting in the grass. But their customer services completely ends once they get your money. EXPECT NO SERVICE AFTER YOU PAY THEM!!! Even if the problem is a direct result of their negligence :-(

They have a wide range of plants and really unique and healthy trees that I can't find any place else. They also breed and sell alpacas, and alpaca goods here as well. The staff is knowledgeable and the owners are super great people. It's a fun place to come with the kids on the weekends. I highly recommend them.

Elf's had the mums that we wanted for new rustic planters in front of our gsrage door. We found gorgeous flame and rust clors, at a very low price this year.

They know there product. Very helpful and well priced.
