The hotel is a family business. The staff is very friendly. The rooms were larger than expected and have a spacious balcony with a nice view. The hotel was very nice on the whole. The only thing we have to complain about is the cleanliness of the rooms and the selection and quality of the breakfast. Also, the size of the bed and the sleeping comfort are below a 3 star hotel, in my opinion. The location is very good. It is very close to the beach as well as Main Street, where there are many shops, bars and restaurants.

Extremely unhealthy environment to reduce !! As a retiree I was looking for a decent clean place to cut down and the one I encountered is damp and moldy on walls and cabinets !!!! The internet did not load good pages for my job at all. My first room on the ground floor had cockroaches and my fridge was freezing food. In the second room on the second floor the mattress smelled of mold and all the clothes got such unpleasant smells. The laundry was common and it was all messed up and they were asking us to pay 2 euros for the wash and checking that it was not enough to serve us ... or the big lady quite rude was not interested in anything and the only thing she said was another again. Her son didn't care as he never came to make the mold on the wall. From whom I have And photos. Her grandchildren were crying all day long and making noise. They all messed up inside the house and it was reminiscent of something very old. Don't pass out !!!!

Very simple hotel but very quiet. No crowded pool and very nice hosts. Breakfast at first unusual but you do not need more. Would definitely book here again. The family atmosphere is just great.

Granted, on arrival I was skeptical. The hotel is very simple and the breakfast from German view very mau. Over the next 11 days, I have always felt more comfortable. The owners are reserved, but very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is centrally located between the beach and shopping. I would come back, the next time but without breakfast. Suitable for families or as a stopover to visit Heraklion or Knossos. There are direct bus connections. Transfer airport you do not have to book. Bus line 1 goes directly to Amoudara (1,70 / way).

A good hotel on average. Only the 130cm wide, board-heavy bed with stained, old mattress for two people is not at all. Otherwise everyone is super nice and very hard-working. To the beautiful beach three minutes walk. Food is a lot of possibilities. Also shopping is very easy to do on foot.
The pool is clean. We were satisfied except for the bed.

Eleni Palace, thank you for every sunrise, thank you for the spacious and clean apartment, thank you especially for the support given to the print of plane tickets and for the gift offered at departure. Crete is wonderful! We want to come back!

Without many stars, simple and clean.

Without many stars, simple and clean.
At 2-3 stars and the swimming pool and elevator interior very rare in Crete.
Only with breakfast, indulging and very varied without restriction, in the rest we preferred to delight with the local delicacies especially Gyros Pita, more perfect than us.
And let's not forget Pizza better than in Rome near the hotel at the restaurant Pretorius 50cm diameter, delicious.

First of all: for air conditioning until the end of June you have to pay an extra 5 per day (we have not been notified at the travel agency). Second: for the whole 2 weeks for breakfast was the same: one sort of bread, one sort of sausage and one sort of cheese daily the same. Cucumber, tomato, watermelon, two still the same marmalade (unpalatable). Coffee tasted like completely do not know what juice only one and still the same unless made of powder. And a hard-boiled egg. Thirdly, let us say rooms are not very clean. Shags of dust and spider webs hang on radiators and wardrobes. Tap and shower covered with old soap and who knows what else. Now the pros: to the beach 3 min on the legs and swimming pool next to the hotel very well maintained.
As for me, it should not be called Hotel and it's still 3-star !!!

If you are in the last rooms, the wifi does not have a very good signal as it would not be. For those who prefer to cook, they need to know that they do not have enough pots (pots, crates, salad vessels). I really asked, and I only got some pots. Breakfast is poor and coffee is under any criticism. I bought from the store and we will do it in the room. Thousands of thanks to the Andrei guide, which accompanies the tourists groups in Santorini and who is a special person. Those arriving in the area (Heraklion and Santorini) would find it helpful to look for it. Thousands of thanks and lady who deals with cleanliness and who is from Cluj.

Excellent 3 * hotel! I rested with my family and were very pleased with this hotel!
To begin with, the staff (namely the family who owns this hotel) are very hospitable. If something was needed, then they would gladly help and please. Always welcoming and friendly. But they speak only English (as in any European country).
From the hotel to the beach exactly 2 minutes (timed on the clock). The beach is great, clean. The sea is also clean.
As for the location - there is nowhere better! Everything is literally close by. The hotel is located between the main road and the beach. Literally 50-70 meters away there is a luxurious restaurant, two grocery stores across the road, a stop to Heraklion, a bunch of souvenir shops.
I see a lot of people complain about cleaning. I don t know about the others, but we were cleaned almost every day. They changed the bed and cleaned the floors every day.
We were given room 102 for 3 people. As for me - for three people this room is too big, there is a lot of free space, which is very good. Moreover, 102 rooms have the largest balcony with a large terrace.
As for breakfasts - typical and simple breakfasts (2 types of sausages, cheese, 2 types of bread, tomatoes / cucumbers, boiled eggs, watermelon, cereals, jam, biscuits / croutons, coffee, tea and juice). Always ate breakfast. If you leave somewhere early, the hosts bring your breakfast to your room.
Great pool with great bar. If you order a beer for 2 euros, they also bring you a whole plate of beer (croutons, different nuts, etc.). The pool is clean and very pleasant. WiFi catches without problems, you can even lie on a sun lounger by the pool all day.
As for me - Eleni Palace is a great hotel. I didn t come to the sea to just sit in the room and wait for something wow and cheap from 3 *. For the price, this is a great hotel. Moreover, the most important thing for us was where to spend the night and have breakfast, we were not going to stay in the hotel all day, because we came to the sea.
As for the air conditioner, where many people complain that it is not included in the price, well, it's funny, where did you see the air conditioner included in the price? : D I have visited many countries in Europe, and everywhere you have to pay for it. Moreover, this is a resort area! Nevertheless, the hotel owner himself recommended not to take the air conditioner, as it was cool at night, and even more so we were not in the room all day, so there was no point in taking it.
The bottom line is that we were very pleased, especially with the staff and the room. If I choose Crete again, I will definitely visit Eleni Palace!

I had read many reviews that spoke of the kindness of the owners, yes they are kind, but the lady and her husband who are always at the hotel only speak Greek. This makes things a little more complicated ... the son who speaks English is only found a few times.
The downside, however, was the low level of general cleanliness and the poor quality of breakfast food. The strong point instead is the location. It is very close to the beach which, while not the most beautiful in Crete, is backed up by the fantastic service of the Heaven Beach bar!
It is also 15 minutes by car from the center of Heraklion, but if you do not want to move by car you can take a walk among the shops and restaurants right on your doorstep, there are also mini markets with food and cigarettes.

Very polite and friendly hosts.

Very polite and friendly hosts.
There is fast Wi-Fi, its own parking. Next to the store, the Petusis restaurant is one of the best on this coast. Bus stop.
The beach next to the hotel. If you go 200 meters to the right on the beach - there is a finer and cleaner sand, my children and I rested there.
The rooms are clean and cozy. There is everything you need to cook, uncork wine and dine on the terrace.
One day our friends asked the hosts for a barbecue and fried kebabs in the parking lot by the pool.

Fantastic cozy place, indescribably sweet and hospitable hotel hosts who make us feel like family. Only one speaks English, but everyone is so caring and attentive to the guests, pampering with fruit, flowers and loving pats on the shoulder. When we were going on a trip and missed breakfast, they were immediately ready with packed lunches and juices (at no extra charge).

Cleaning every other day, and twice a week we have had bed linen and towels changed (we have been here 14 days) and I definitely do not think one can complain about that!

The reason for the lack of star is that the beds are really bad and little things need improvement. The sunbeds are worn, a door is crooked, there could be more service in the cupboards, etc. We could do just fine, but it's a shame that the assessments drag down due to the little things. And yes, breakfast is sparse but there is what one needs. At the price we pay, we can not demand that everything be perfect !!

We are absolutely satisfied and would definitely recommend the hotel to others. We were leaving two adults (me and my mother) and my 3 children aged 4, 6 and 12 years.
