This company is prepared to renege on written promises, and then reverse credit offers.

They had 500 units of a product in stock and we needed them at the end of the month. We had written promise that they would hold them for us and supply them until the end of the month.

When the day came, they reduced the quantity substantially. They wanted to keep the balance so that they could sell them to other customers (at full price I assume).

The week before they had also messed up another smaller order for some power supplies (sent the wrong colour). They then couldn't supply the correct part for 6 weeks. The rep had offered a credit note for the order. The credit note was applied to our account.

When I complained about them not delivering the 500 units, the credit note for the power supplies was then cancelled that afternoon with the sales rep apologising for making a mistake.

To me, this appears to be a company that is willing to break written promises for the sake of profits, and cancel credit notes when they realise the customer is likely to move to another supplier.

I pity the young sales rep who is being taught that profits trump integrity.
