It was a very good experience, but the parking lots we're full when we first arrived and had to wait for a while before we could drive the last stretch to the resort and ski. Overall would recommend.

I really like Eldora. It is very close to the front range, and you can get there several ways avoiding I70. It's a small mountain compared to most CO mountains, but that's what you get for being so close. I'm going to be honest and tell you it's been very windy almost every time I've gone. Plan for it and wear something on your face. I like to get up there early for a few quick runs and head out before it gets crowded.

It's not the best slope colorado has to offer, but when you live in Boulder, it's worth getting a seaon pass too along with your "weekend passes" to the bigger places a bit farther away. You can be on the slopes in 30 min depending on how fast the guy in front of you on Canyon road is going, and it's got a nice local flavor to it (As well as the town of Nederland in general)

Very disappointed in the no refund policy. Not very directly stated when making appointment by phone. So if you have a change of plans and are able to cancel 24hrs in advance, too bad, you are still out the $200 per person charge. Not even a 50% refund.

Prepare for disappointment and wasting your time. There's not enough parking to handle the crowds and not enough shuttles to get people to the mountain. Spend time trying to get there and expect to be close but unable to actually get to the hill.

So we were hesitant to go snowboarding on Christmas with the kiddos, only cause we were unfamiliar with the process due to younger children but I had a persistent family member who convinced me that tomorrow isn t promised, so we went ahead and made the drive up the mountain upon arrival from the parking attendant to the whole staff inside and outside you guys rock, y all are so friendly, so energetic, I literally felt right at home at this resort! Please continue this hospitality and sincere kindness from all your employees it made our day so easy with the little ones. Everyone was nice enough to answer all our questions and concerns and addressed them. It was spectacular and amazing to say that we spent Christmas Day at EL DORA SKI RESORT!!!!

Forgot to mention the staff sizing and gear rentals were amazing

Thank you so much also for the AWESOME LIFT OPERATORS!

Hardest nordic center around (out of Devil's thumb; Snow Mountain Ranch unless Devil's thumb gets a foot of snow). Almost too pricey though, especially since the snow can be sketchy enough to close most or all of the nordic track early late in the season. Luckily, I get my downhill in the back country.

Friendly staff and very helpful! Felt comfortable letting my 8 and 11 year old ski all day alone - they had a blast! They especially liked the fact that they could do runs over and over without a wait!

One of the best powder days I've had so far. El Dora is small but has a great range of things to offer. Best to go on weekdays. There was less snow yesterday and a ton of people but lift lines never get too bad. Lots of parking on weekdays right next to the mountain.

I am so frustrated with Eldora. I've been a loyal Eldora customer for years. Ski passes, kids lessons and telling my friends how much I love to ski there. No more. I bought my limited 2015 pass for myself and full season passes for my kids as soon as they became available. I was assured that there would be no better deal. Then I purchased my two day passes to Steamboat and Winter Park, and then the announcement was made that Eldora is being added to the Super Pass. For a few more dollars I could have purchased a Super Pass. I have called Eldora several times to see if I can upgrade to the Super Pass and finally they tell my only full adult season pass holder can upgrade. Shame on you Eldora. I will not be purchasing ski passes from you again. You have lost a very loyal customer and a very vocal one. I will be talking about this with all my friends!

We purchased midweek Nordic ski passes and this was our first visit to Eldora. We very much enjoyed the skiing. The rental equipment was very good and the staff very helpful. We are looking forward to returning next week . The Timberline Lodge with it's Taproom had great flatbread pizza and beer.

This has proven to be the perfect family ski mountain. We live in Broomfield, so it takes about 1h10m to arrive to the parking lot, which makes it possible to ski any day. The shuttle service from the lots is convenient - it's the perfect way to get to the lifts with young kids.

The mountain is segmented really well. If you're on the beginner slope, there is no way to accidentally end up on an intermediate run. The lifts are labeled well with what they service, there are plenty of maps, and the staff are happy to make recommendations and give directions as well.

The Indian Peaks lodge has lots of space when my kids are tired of skiing, bathrooms are roomy enough to take 2 toddlers in a stall, and every building is heated.

Finally, when just my wife and I get to go out, the advanced runs at the Corona and Indian Peaks lifts are rarely crowded, well-marked, and plenty of fun. I highly recommend mountain if you live in Boulder/Denver.

55 min from Louisville without requiring I-70 access. Busy day but expected two days before Christmas. Decent half day lift ticket price posted on website and begins at 1pm. Friendly staff and reasonably smooth rental and ticket purchase process. I only wish there had been more green trails.

This place is pretty weak.. I'm an avid rider who puts in 35 to 50 days per season and this is by far the worst ski area that I've visited in Colorado. Do yourself a favor and go up to Summit County or Winter Park... The drive here was supposed to be way shorter (from longmont) but it actually only took me about 15 minutes less than it would of taken to get to Summit or WP... I was at Eldora on a 10" pow day and pretty much everything was skiied out by 11am. I went to Copper 3 days later(with no new snow since) and still found better conditions in the trees. Thanks for playing Eldora, but buh bye now! I won't be back..

Conveniently located near Boulder. Nice variety of terrain for all skill levels. Quick, friendly ticketing and equipment rental. 3 stars mainly because of value (Typical of any ski resort). Each day will set a single, out-of-town adult back $220 (including food not including alcohol). Couple this with windy conditions making half the mountain icy and inaccessible and the season pass holders in your group that "don't have to put up with these conditions", and it makes for a very expensive trip that is getting harder and harder to justify. Literally avoided a second day on the mountain because of the expense alone.

Snobs may even like Eldo as locals call it. This is a no frills, non "Ken and Barbi" local ski area. You will not see glamorous multi-million dollar modern timeshare high-rises, strings of overpriced chain ski shops, Fox fur draped super-model-want-to-be's.
What you will find (snowpack permitting) is a convenient, close to Boulder & Ned, value priced pass and day rates area served by very adequate uphill capacity to any/all levels of interesting terrain. The setting is, well, Colorado Rockies....stunning. The drive up to Eldo will rock your world, summer or winter. Enough talk, check the area website and the snow report and just go.

Had a great time here snow boarding with my son. The staff was friendly and the lines were short. The adult day pass was definitely expensive considering the size of the mountain, but we still had fun.

Great place! Unfortunately, the resort decided to shutdown all lifts to the black diamonds on the mountain. And so, we were unable to ski any challenging runs. However, I went to see Jess in customer service and she took care of me. Gave me a free voucher. Thank you, Jess!

Eldora is slightly small, by Colorado ski area standards. The terrain is varied, though not a lot of expert terrain what they have is pretty good. In a front-range snowstorm they can receive more snow than any area in the state. It's a nice easy drive from Boulder and much less traffic than the I-70 corridor to the 'big' areas.
Parking can be a challenge, especially on weekends when they frequently fill all the lots. The wind can be fierce at times but all in all a fun place to visit.

Beautiful place, only that its costs are exaggerated since all even children under two years have to pay the lift even without using it and if you do not pay you can not even step on the snow of the entrance because they send you to pay, I came from Mexico to to return without being able to enter because my children had to stay in the parking lot because they couldn't play in the snow, lousy experience!

I have a Nordic season pass to Eldora. Easy access from Boulder, reasonable price (about $300 for a 4-5 month season), friendly Nordic staff, great Nordic trails. I just wish the Nordic hut was larger!

I was too new to snowboarding to explore most of the park, but the rental program was extremely helpful and the staff were all helpful. Also the snow was in particularly good shape during my visit, but that has more to do with the weather.

They do a great job with the snow here. The drive up the canyon is beautiful. The food is improving (the coffee is not). The lifts are relaxing and you get to share them with your neighbors. I ski in Summit and Eagle counties a lot and this is not a lesser experience. Check the weather forecast, windy days can be unfun.

Update: Coffee has improved a lot. New lift is spacious and speedy.

The staff was able to answer every question we had, and I felt like they cared if we had fun or not. It is pricey, so unless you have your own gear, be ready to spend some . Other than that the slopes were so nice and easy to float down on. And it wasn't crowded which is an important factor when going snowboarding.
