Oh so very much fun! You do need to have cash for drinks. They have wonderful service. There is always a good band playing all day all night! Upstairs is club music in the evening. It's directly across from the beautiful beach and for us it was awesome because it's walking distance from the hotel. Dancing everyday!

This place is so live. Right next to beach and parking space, how much ever you are drunk you ll make it to your car. The music and noise makes it enjoyable experience. Weekends are cool here if you want to wind down with some beer, bite of pizza and Florida heat.

It s a classic Fort Lauderdale beach bar. No windows, no AC, perfect view of the ocean and a great breeze. There is smoking inside, so if you are sensitive, I would recommend staying on the outside of the venue. They always have live music, which is nice because a lot of places don t offer that every night of the week.
It s a low key bar - don t dress up because if you show up in heels and makeup everyone is going to think you are lost lol

I found myself bar hopping on Ft. Lauderdale beach for my birthday. I had gone to several other restaurants/bar then finally ended up at Elbo Room as it sits right on the corner across from where I had parked. From the moment I walked in the security guy had a little attitude because there are several entrances and "I chose the farthest one so I made him walk". I initially laughed this off. We walk in to a small crowd and live music which seemed like a good time. After being there for a while buying drinks, requesting a few songs and dancing the gentleman started to sing the national anthem. My friend (black woman) and another patron (white man) decided to kneel. A veteran who just entered the bar took offense and decided to hurl racial insults to ONLY my friend. I, a black woman as well, quickly came to support my friend and let this veteran know he is out of line. At this point security(the same one from the beginning) comes up to only me and asked for us to step outside. When i asked why we need to step outside his response was "we are the loudest".At no point did he come to assess the situation as we were being antagonize by this white veteran! So to this I say I will never again step foot in your establishment. Who you employ says a lot about your business!
Stay away from young blonde working main bar, steals your change and has attitude to boot. Really like this place otherwise, but when her bartender buddy backed her play, i lost respect. $50 for a beer and vodka water and the rest disappeared . She said I put the change on the bar.... . BS.....if you like music and have to go there just don t give anything higher than a $20 and stay away from middle bar...

A fun institution on Fort Lauderdale Beach. I miss the ping pong that was upstairs years ago but this is a great place to hang out, rock out, and people watch.
As a local, I stop in here every few weeks because the vibe is usually pretty relaxed, welcoming, and fun. On Friday I stopped in with my sister and we sat at the bar after dancing to a couple songs by the live band and the blonde female bartender was incredibly rude. She asked us if we wanted to drink and we said not yet she said well then you need to get up from those chairs because I lose money if you sit there and don t buy anything from me. She then reiterated it s all about the money money money ladies! There were several other empty seats available at the bar and we just hadn t ordered yet. I ve never been asked to get up from a seat because I didn t order quick enough. It was such a turn off.
