Elbo Room - Night Club Review

I wish this place was like it used to be... It's filthy yet it had been under construction for months with no changes to the eye. Bathrooms are still disgusting and the music selection is poor - definitely needs to start attracting a younger crowd. 50-60 year olds just don't do it for me when I want to chill and drink or dance by the beach. So much potential and so sad. What happened to all the good bars in Fort Lauderdale?! :(

Great time great drinks good music - live band and great DJ. Met a man celebrating his 90th birthday and lots of bachelorette and bachelor parties.

They should put more reggaeton as background music.
They only accept cash but it has an ATM where they can withdraw cash for a cost of 8 dollars. Sounds like a robbery to me.

A fight breaks out on the other side of the bar but yet the security pushes me and my wife from the other side of the bar which I pushed back since I didn t realize it was security. He apologizes to me after the fact but since my wife gave her opinion of the unprocessional actions he decided he is going to ask us both to leave..... even though we already had paid our bill and the bartender is puzzled on why they are asking us to leave.......if I was a 5$ customer I get it....but we had nothing to do with the original situation....with my experience civil service duty...great time to go to the video tape and release the unprofessionalism of your staff....if it was opposite I am sure there would be protest in the streets to hang someone! Even though your security technically assaulted my wife...I am sure you will see for yourself how unprofessional your staff has been.

What a bar should be. Easy and comfortable with approachable prices.

Security at this place are terrible & zero customer servoce. Working in the industry myself for over 2 decades, I'd just say there are definitely better places than this to go in the area

You must take Elbo Room (or Elbo as we call it) for what it's worth, a chill fun beach side bar with a live band full of fun local characters

O man, I am too old for this place but anyone under 25 would love this spot. Great spot for singles to meet others. It's like a dive bar nightclub. Cash only thing is weird but I assume they just don't want to run 200 tabs at once since this place gets super busy. I would recommend this spot for any younger kids.

I'm giving this rating because I personally don't like beer spilt on me. I live here and used ro go to this bar every week... and now just once n a while. There is a leaky ceiling that always drips on your head! The service is good though!! The drinks are always strong!!... (Maybe cuz I know ppl) My friend is a bartender here.

It is very loud... Hard to hear, but packed with beautiful males & females. The name Elbow Room is fairly accurate, but you might have less room then that. Saw 6 bottles being dropped by patrons in the 30 min I was there!! I was a bar tender down the street for a year and this place has always been a $hit show.... But at the same time I have never left with out a good Story to tell. This place is full of beach bodies... Where I belong, but to crazy and wild for me NOW that I'm in my upper 30's.... USED to love it in my 20 !!!!

It remembers those dirty foot bars that the locals tied up, only with an American face. The place had everything to be bad, with a dark and dirty environment, a barman who was not friendly and with a micropeak for presentations.
However, it has a good variety of beers and the bartender is efficient and does not play a rock of the lowest quality.

Trip to Ft Lauderdale? The beach? Day or night, the elbo room is one spot that I've frequented for years and when I'm home, well always go back.

This historic ft Lauderdale landmark is a beloved ft Lauderdale hot spot. It's crowded but a must see. It's a laid-back atmosphere right on the beach. Pop in and wet your whistle before they tear it down and build another high-rise for the rich only.

Well... Guess it's an icon but when the bartender takes your plastic cup back and uses it with the stainless steel bar shaker to pour your next drink, well... you have to wonder how many times she did that before with that same shaker she used to mix your first drink... hmm...

Great DJ upstairs last night- kept the late 90's/early 00's club hits coming- relaxed spot that has evolved over the years and knows how to keep the locals coming back- live music on the ground floor and lots of bartenders to keep it flowing - always a great mix of people and good times at the Elbow Room

What an amazing local dive bar. Great place to tie one on. My only complaint is the drink prices-tourist trap prices on the drinks.

Old old school. Smells, old nasty, but a must stop for anybody at Fort Lauderdale. Great music.

Elbo is tradition and a LOT of fun.. what else can I say??
