A must for those with a sweet tooth. The 'delizia la carraia' was a white chocolate and pistachio almost praline sensation. Great service and speedy despite queues, very popular with locals and visitors and a riverside view. The cakes looked stunning too!

Good gelato, very fast service even when busy. Cheapest cone/cup is 1 euro, and you can get 2 flavors with it. Watch out for the tiramisu mousse flavor: it is actually just the mousse and not your standard gelato. It's very sweet and a bit heavy on its own, as I learned, but might be a good complement to some of the lighter flavors.

What can I say? I'm a big fan of chocolate, and Gelateria La Carraia had the most intense and luscious ciocolatta fondante I've ever had! The price is very reasonable, and the flavor is deep, rich, and intense but not overly sweet.

What they sell there is pure drug. White chocolate ice cream with pistachios is a damn delight (hence its name Delicia Carraia). Ice creams are very rich and the price is very good. I have gone whenever I could and there has always been a small queue of people waiting for something you don't see in other ice cream parlors.
The attention could improve the truth since the girls who work there do not seem to do it very happily although I suppose that is another matter. The important thing here is the ice cream and it is the best I have ever tasted, if you go through this bridge do not hesitate to ask for one and cry with pleasure.

If you come to Florence, you should lick an ice cream here and spend the sunset at a bridge on the Arno. Molto delizioso!
I am a Fan of Sicilian style ice cream and definitely closed freezers! Neither here but omg it's busy well organised and you can forgive both as the ice cream for the more creamy livers is always excellent and the portions always generous and we'll priced, good selection comes as a bonus along with friendly staff, my suggestion is don't walk past!

The best gelato ever. When I lived in Florence I had gelato here all the time as a reward when I finished my exams at the university. An absolute must for everyone to try. My favorite flavors are amarena (black cherry) and the cioccolato fondente (dark chocolate). Just lovely.

Why spend meaningless figures to eat an ice cream in the center of Florence, when you cross the Arno, 5 minutes from the Ponte Vecchio, you can get here? The ice cream is really good and the prices are halved compared to the competition. With 1 you can try a tasting cone, but already a 2-flavor cone from 2 or 2,5 is perfect.
Highly recommended, take an ice cream here and enjoy it while sitting inside or walking outside on the Lungarno.

Asked for two scoops. First was dark chocolate: very gritty and too sweet. 2nd was tiramisu and all she did was scrape the whipped cream off the top and didn't even actually give us any gelato. Also made us wait to be served after a local who arrived after us and pushed his way past. Much better options available in Florence.
