Effingham health system

Went there today waited from 8:30am to 5pm told the ER as well as the front desk that we were gonna wait in the car they told us that would be fine , and they would call us when we can come in . After waiting 3 more hours since talking to the ER we decided to call again just to be told they called are name in the lobby and now we would have to repeat the whole process because were no longer in the system.. they didn t even Try to call either one of our phones worst hospital/service we ve ever received will never go back there.

I absolutely was so impressed with everyone I had contact with... Hardly a wait and Dr Marshall truly made me feel like he totally understood why I was in pain and the pharmacy was right there in the hospital... I just can't say enough wonderful things about this ER. I was there around an hour and a half got some excellent medications and am now resting nicely at home with my grandbabies... Thank you everyone for your service... God Bless

Recently I had a medical procedure performed at Effingham Hospital Imaging and it was one of the best experiences I have had with a hospital. Sheila H. was pleasant, professional, helpful and genuinely caring during our interaction and I appreciated it so much. Sean M. was my technician and he was fantastic too. Kind, caring, informative, patient, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure I was 100% comfortable. I was thoroughly impressed with the staff and the care they provided during my visit. Also, the cleanliness was exceptional. I have never praised a medical facility before but I have to say this experience was excellent all around!!

DANGER BEWARE Be careful when dealing with the very rude and unhelpful ladies at the front desk. I showed up for a preemployment physical and hearing test on 8/27/21. The email I received from my future employer said that I had 72 hrs to get the physical and hearing test, it didn't mention anything about making an appointment. I showed up the next day hoping to complete my task, but all I got from the ladies at the front desk was rudeness and them repeating over and over that I needed an appointment. Then I found out that they contacted my future employer and made a complaint, which caused me to lose out on a $30+ an hour job. I think I'll turn down any future job offers that require I use ECB, even in this economy.

This is a great hospital. Everything is clean and modern. Latest state of the art equipment. The staff are all professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable of their profession. They have an on-site pharmacy so you can take your medication with you after surgery. I would return for any medical procedure, as they gained my respect and trust.

Hands down the best ER experience I ve ever had. From the woman who checked us in, to registration to the nurse and doctor, it s been seamless. Dr. Marshall and RN Randy have been fabulous. Everyone has. Highly recommend this ER.

Effingham Hospital has totally change the way I look at healthcare. The staff is so professional and the care was wonderful. Me and my wife are glad we have a wonderful hospital.

Horrible experience! Please go somewhere else if you want a better treatment and actually have an emergency. I am not sure whom is running this hospital but I rather drive an hour away than to ever step foot inside this hospital again. Disappointed with the service and treatment. And FYI if you see someone in a wheelchair you don't make them stand up and walk 15ft to where you are at there is a reason why that person is in a wheelchair to begin. Zero common sense from the nurse! The nurse stood by the door looking at me trying to get up from a wheelchair which by the way had no brakes and it kept sliding back. At that point once I was actually able to get up I just walk out as I could and left to another hospital. Zero sence of urgency and Zero common sense and courtesy! Some people shouldn't be working in the Healthcare industry.

I can't believe what I heard when I was sitting in the hallway on a bed surrounded by bloody curtains. The nurses and the doctor were making fun of the covid patients. Mocking them and cursing about them. I received no service after waiting for 6hours. I was brought in on an ambulance hoping for faster service but that made no difference. I guess my emergency wasn't severe enough for them. This hospital is disqualified.
