I used to go this school before I moved to Washington state at age 6. My kindergarten and first grade teachers were very nice, and they always encouraged me to excel. Eventually, I was able to finish a reading unit in half the time it took for the average kinder/1st grade student to finish. The environment felt very safe, and the teachers were just outright friendly! I felt like everyone knew me. I was glad that the staff takes the time to know each and every student. The playgrounds were very nice, and were always clean. Every year, there would be an end-of-year celebration, and that was my favorite part. My specialist teachers were very nice, and I enjoyed all subjects. I kind of picked up some Spanish in first grade, but I'm very rusty at it. EduPrize was essentially my 'running start' in life, overall. I learned so many things, that I wanted to come back! Eventually, when I moved, I went into the gifted/highly capable program here in Washington from grade 3 and when people used to ask me why I was in this program, I say because I learned a lot from the charter school I went to and they encouraged me to learn more.

I had a pleasure learning here!

This is my daughter's 3rd year here. I can't say a single positive thing about it. When a teacher who is supposed to educate kids on the English language talks about their great "liberry" early on, it might set a bad tone. Teachers seem to not know how to control their classrooms. My daughter is good at spelling. Even though I was not happy with the teacher's the first 2 years, they at least gave my daughter spelling words from a grade or two above to challenge her. We talked to the teacher she has this year about the easy words and asked about more challenging words. She point blank said she won't do that because it means more work for her. How could anyone expect a teacher to challenge a student in the classroom? That same teacher taught the kids that the first capital of AZ was Tucson and it was a test question. The first capital of AZ was Prescott. There's no communication from the teachers on how our daughter is doing except during the scheduled time to send it/discuss it. Sentences with spelling words are filled with grammatical errors. Math is being incorrectly taught. Academically, this school is a joke.
Extracurriculars... We had our daughter in orchestra. We went to her concert which included beginning and advanced orchestra as well as concert band. I don't know what was on the teacher's resume to land the job, but those kids deserve better. Those kids were capable of doing so much more than he expected of them.

I am so glad I sent my son to this school. When he first started he had so many challenges but by the end of the year he is able to read and do things I never thought would be possible. Thank you to all the teachers and staff for making my child 1st on your priority list. We can't wait to see whats ahead in the years to come.

I super love this school. My son is thriving! They have more electives for the junior high ages, now, and the carpool lanes are actually pretty organized, in spite of what others have said. If you have kids in different timed pick-ups, you don't have to circle around, your child waits in a room with other kiddos till the later time. Their teachers are fantastic and the curriculum is great! It's very hands-on and fun! You can feel it when you walk into the building and through the halls - you can tell it's just a fun place where kids are happy.

This school is absolutely amazing for elementary kids but lets talk about the junior high for a second, there should not be a junior high part of this school in the first place, this is because the school cares more about the younger grades than they do junior high, they don't even have enough classrooms for all the junior high teachers and they sometimes have to give up the gym and stuff for elementary occasions! They treat the junior high kids like they work for them, it's not fair for the students who put time and effort into everything and then get harsh grades or like no credit. They expect A LOT from the students and they make them do A LOT of work and I respect that and actually like that but they give them way little time to do so. I wouldn't suggest bringing your kid here for junior high but I would absolutely, most defiantly recommend bringing your child here for their elementary years. I guarantee they will they will enjoy their child years there. Overall about the junior high, I would say either get rid of the junior high or build a separate campus just for junior high!!!!!
