I used to go this school before I moved to Washington state at age 6. My kindergarten and first grade teachers were very nice, and they always encouraged me to excel. Eventually, I was able to finish a reading unit in half the time it took for the average kinder/1st grade student to finish. The environment felt very safe, and the teachers were just outright friendly! I felt like everyone knew me. I was glad that the staff takes the time to know each and every student. The playgrounds were very nice, and were always clean. Every year, there would be an end-of-year celebration, and that was my favorite part. My specialist teachers were very nice, and I enjoyed all subjects. I kind of picked up some Spanish in first grade, but I'm very rusty at it. EduPrize was essentially my 'running start' in life, overall. I learned so many things, that I wanted to come back! Eventually, when I moved, I went into the gifted/highly capable program here in Washington from grade 3 and when people used to ask me why I was in this program, I say because I learned a lot from the charter school I went to and they encouraged me to learn more.
