EDS Of GM OSHAWA Car Plant Review

I am a BIG fan of the Oshawa plant, and I live in South Carolina. My 1989 Dodge Ram Van was built in the Oshawa plant, and when that van was wrecked in an unavoidable accident, I replaced it with another Dodge Ram Van and insisted it be from the Oshawa Canadian plant. I drove the replacement Dodge Ram Van 325,000 miles and traded it on a 2000 Buick Century; Oshawa made. I am still driving this excellent car and loving it. I have spread the word about the excellent quality of the cars mad in the Oshawa plant by people who obviously care. In fact, my mantra is: if the car does not come from the Oshawa plant; I do not want it. I always look for the Oshawa sticker on the driver side door; plus, I follow online what cars Oshawa folks are producing. This plant is the definition of excellence in manufacturing cars. I fervently hope your plant continues stay open,; for, I want to always be able to buy a car made in the Oshawa plant.

Just sold both my GMC and never again will I lease or finance from this company, the main reason I bought local is to support local. I think theres a Toyota plant in Woodstock i think this will be my new go to. Stay in mexico.

This company is past now me and many try to apply but no chance because we was told it's family business and friends.. if you have connection you get the job .
Now they closed and few remain to make masks for the government during coronavirus time:)

Best car manufacturer in the world with unsurpassed quality

GM employees here are good but the security guards at the scale is a joke. Closes between 11:00-11:30 for lunch. I wish we as truckers got a true lunch where we could sit on our duff.

Great place to work and the best built cars and trucks North America has ever seen

Grew up around here ,also did temp work inside as quality control. Also did temp work at the rail yard before the vehicles were moved onto the railcars. Great people. Also did temp work at other side plants.

Provides good paying jobs for the area. Best built cars and trucks anywhere. Damn proud to be a worker there

What a joke place to work. Work a year. Laid off for 4. U ion in bed with management. Fear mongering and tactics.

Great place to work for co-op students. Provided a lot of direct management experience and management here is fantastic.

I performed maintenance in this plant many times over the last 30 years including building the new paint shop.

Sad news to hear this plant is closing, best of luck to all the employees , it'll be rough but you'll all get through this...(5 stars for the workers)

It is a great company, the only problem is that the Oshawa General Motors are gonna close :(

Will never buy a vehicle from anything connected to this company. I have at least 3000 reasons.

They took money out of everones pocket for a bail out, only to screw off south. Never buying a GM again

Unfortunately this place is a shadow of its former self with lots of layoffs recently

Best built cars and trucks here compared to all of there other plants, i hope when they move to mexico, people won't buy the car that are built in mexico. They have nothing but problems and they are built like sh*t there.
