Michelle Danner s Acting Studio
I just moved to Los Angeles from New York and have started taking classes at Michelle Danner s Acting studio. I am taking a six month intensive that includes a wide variety of both theater and film classes including Breaking into the Industry, Scene Study, Michelle Danner s The Golden Box, Voice, Script Analysis, and Improv. All of the classes have been amazing so far!! They are all taught in Santa Monica in a beautiful two theater and gallery complex. The space is a great place to work! The teachers are really nice and create a great environment for performing. In addition, everyone is supportive in getting all of the actors as much work as possible. A lot of the classes focus on landing an audition and have helped me acclimate to L.A and the entertainment industry!

This place is epic hands down!! Friendly and professional environment and everyone has a positive attitude and is eager to learn. I would definetely reccomend taking classes here for anyone who plans on being a working actor in hollywood.

The Edgemar Center for the Arts has it all, amazing teachers, lots of options for class scheduling, and a beautiful location. Michelle Danner is an encyclopedia of acting. You will learn the tools you need to do great work. Michelle takes the best elements from great teachers like Stanislavsky, Stella Adler, and Sanford Meiser and teaches you how to access your emotions on the spot. She will be personally invested in your success, as she is with all her students. Christine Dunford teaches several classes as well, including voice and scene study. I have taken each of the classes and found them both to be very helpful and informative. Even Brad Garrett has taught classes here. From improv to on-camera, scene study to voice - this place is full of classes to select from for any level of actor.

The Golden Box with Michelle Danner is a class every actor/actress
should take. During this class you find out what your emotional
triggers are, why some choices are more powerful than others.
The golden box does not only benefit actors but writers/directors/producers as well. You learn how to create characters that are layered and more in depth. I recommend the ''Golden Box'' to every artist who wants to polish their craft. After taking the class I felt more in touch with my inner self. I could pull or imagine different scenarios in my life. Michelle challenges you to pull deep from within as well as the imagination.
