The portfolio offered by Eddisons is excellent & I thoroughly enjoyed my time in my apartment. However, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. From day one, it was difficult to get in touch with my assigned representative of Eddisons and I am in fact waiting to hear back-still-after leaving.

I felt as if I was nothing but an inconvenice and the phone manner displayed by the Leeds staff is questionable if not rude-save for one employee, Alex.

Not only would I not reccomend the agency to others but I would go as far as actively avoiding renting from the company again-in spite of the standard of accommodation offered.

Probably the worst company I've ever dealt with. I would not recommend them at all! In fact, avoid at all costs!

We moved into a supposedly newly refurbished apartment. However a week after we moved in they had workmen round to "finish off painting the ceiling". This was a lie. They were patching up a shoddily built ceiling in which cheap materials were poorly used and were not fit for purpose.

We moved in with half the lights out, heaters not working, window seals damaged letting in draughts constantly, and not to mention the 1 hour late attendance of the letting agent the day we first viewed the place!

Having reported the issues above in Feb when we moved in, it is now December and none of these issues were ever sorted despite numerous attempts.

We also had a ceiling that flooded during the recent bad weather, and came through the lights and down to all the main electrics in the room. This was the front room and the main living area. They spent 4 weeks putting us off (When we finally got through to them, which let me tell you, it's easier to walk up Mt. Everest blindfolded). They told us it was fixed. The same week, more bad rain, more leaking. We got the concierge to come out the next day (Sunday morning - he's about the only half decent thing about the place sometimes) and he managed to put his fingers straight through the plaster in the ceiling displaying its poor quality. He also found the water had been in contact with the electrics and the lights had melted into the main power in the ceiling, which is literally a danger to life.

Add to that them telling us to turn off all electrics in the room, so lights, heater, entertainment etc over the wet weekend until they'd fix it, was not impressed at all. Least of all when I have a 7 month pregnant girlfriend living in a home like that.

We have told them to stuff their renewal and cannot wait to leave.

Avoid at all costs

Possibly the worst customer service of any company I have ever had the misfortune to be involved with.
Absolutely terrible service; don't respond to emails, tell you they will ring back when in fact they never will and it is almost impossible to get in touch with a member of staff to deal with your request - they always seem to be 'on their lunch' - who has lunch at 4pm??!!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

I am a landlord myself so know how these things work, Eddisons are horrendous. Unfortunately most people sign up for a minimum of 6 months so it is hard to escape the terrible, embarrassing customer service. Me and my partner lived in horrendously damp conditions for 6 months, which they failed to mention when we agreed to let the flat (when we viewed it the damp had been all covered up by furniture) my girlfriends health was severely affected by the damp and they still did not act on it. This was just the start of the hundreds of problems they gave us.

Just think, when your renting, it is your home and you need to be happy and healthy and be treated like a valued tenant, if you want this then i strongly urge you to not deal with Eddisons, we regret it so so much.

Hope this helps everyone!

Eddisons are a company, like many others in the UK, that feel work would be much better without the customers. Unfortunately we pay the bills and this mindset leads to an array of poor customer service so bad I've enquired about how to get myself arrested so I can live in a more comfortable environment with a better service...

I was worried that we wouldn't find anywhere to live in Leeds but that all changed when we contacted Eddisons; they were quick to understand our criteria and provided a great service from start to finish. We now have a lovely waterside apartment at a really great price too! Would recommend x

Merelle was very helpful and they were able to provide me a time that suits me to view stunning properties.

I look forward to meeting them in person and will update my feedback accordingly.

Edit: Molly has been very helpful and added additional properties to my booking!

Possibly the most shocking company I've ever had to deal with! Shocking customer services all round, never got any replies to emails or got anywhere on the phone! Had a 6 months contract with them, had terrible damp in two rooms which never got sorted and when questioned again and again I got told it had been dealt with, even though I lived in the flat and obviously it had not been dealt with........ Along with ten million more problems. It's taken us a month to get our deposit back and we still haven't got it. Stay away people!!!

The staff here are very ignorant - ignore emails, phone calls and claims that they will phone you back when really, they won't. When emailing about an issue, they will address only certain parts of the email and completely ignore other parts of it. Also, they told me that someone would be coming to fix a light socket that was broken in our apartment before we even moved in, and someone rudely entered after knocking once while we were asleep in bed, only to fiddle about with it and leave the wires dangling out the ceiling. Avoid if possible.

My experience with them has been very positive. Fast, friendly and professional.

I have had several minor issues with the property I leased and they have solved them much faster than I would have ever expected.

All in all I say they are a top-notch letting agency and have solved all the issues mentioned in previous bad reviews.

I would never buy a flat again if it was being managed by Eddisons as they are totally incompetent. The women are so rude on the phone in the Leeds Office and give a bad reputation overall. They should make more of an effort to contact people, stop being so lazy with their accounts and find some manners. They had all my details but couldn't contact me - very bright sparks working there! Bit silly to bit the hand that feeds you. Eddisons should be made aware how bad their their employees customer skills are. Its much better to sort things amicably or companies just end up with a bad reputation.

I called the agency to arrange a viewing for one of the properties they manages, the person I talked to looked really friendly but I fell short in my assumption. When the day of viewing came, I didn t receive any call. So i called the agency and the informed me that the agent was running late, and he was possibly driving as they said they contacted him and he didn t picked up. All sounded good and I show some understanding. After 25 minutes later, I called the agency again and they where avoiding answering my calls. I was getting frustrated and so I called them with my daughter s number. For their surprise they did picked up and it was me again.. the lady looked annoyed speaking with me and despite that her tone on the phone was straight I could hear her breathing to be annoyed that I disturbed them. She did not apologies for the inconvenience, and she just said "he is on his way" wait there.. " He has your number and as soon he is out of the property he will call you" .. So I stand there waiting in the rain... after 45 minutes i saw another lady that as i asked her she had arrange a viewing 30 minutes after us... she said that the agency where ignoring her calls and they just said the same things they told us. After 1 hour and 12 not answered calls by all 3 of us, we decided to leave. 1 day passed and by a different number again I called them and they said that the property is now let agreed... and without an apology after I explained them the whole situation. This letting agency after reading further reviews and by personal experience, are incompetent and liars, and that s not values to provide in a tenant- agent relation. I would recommend anyone that deal with them to rethink it cause if they behave like this now, after renting a property with them you will have to deal with them for a year. Never again, and I am giving them one star cause you cant give none.

Extremely poor customer service based on the lack of communication. Several unannounced visits and unnecessary service costs. Staff seemed unenthusiastic and rude.

Would never recommend to anyone.

Flat was nice (once cleaned) but customer service ...

Flat was nice (once cleaned) but customer service terrible. Company hadn't checked that previous tenant's bills had been paid. They hadn't. The first we knew of it was when our locks were drilled by British gas and our meter replaced by a pay as you go one. We were left paying off a debt that wasn't ours and had to resolve the situation ourselves. Property was filthy when we moved in and most of the furniture was in one room. A large cupboard was broken and collapsed when opened. Once you've paid your money they really don't care. Check in and check out fees extortionate and they'll probably try and take money off your deposit. Avoid at all costs.

This review system won't let me give a place 0 stars, but if I could I would.

Their customer service is despicable. I've had quite possibly the worst customer service experience of my life with Eddisons. The thing is, its not hard to provide good customer service. It's something a monkey could provide....

As a tenant I raised several problems with the apartment, none of which were resolved. I was actually asked if I could cover some repairs on my insurance for one instance as the landlord refused to pay, as they didn't personally cause the damage. (This was accidental damage to a hob, caused through no fault of my own and property that comes as part of the furnishings)

I advised them that as the damage was accidental I would be more than happy to pay half of the costs. Yet the landlord wouldn't agree to this either. The last email I sent regarding this was over four weeks ago....I'm still waiting for a response back from them and my tenancy ends on the 23rd of this month.

I also advised them that the mattress needed replacing. I got one email asking me to take some pictures, after i sent these I haven't heard anything back from them.

Additionally, I asked for a reference for my new landlord, which they charged me 15 pounds....nearly a week has passed and they still haven't sent the information over. My new tenancy starts on Monday and Eddisons are closed on a weekend....go figure?

The funny thing is, I was sent a renewal document during the above period. Of course I replied promptly to inform them I wouldn't be renewing my tenancy....yet again I have had no further correspondence (via email or telephone) other than an automated receipt. I've been a tenant with Eddisons coming up to 3 years now.

It feels as though they put an charge on everything that requires them to do anything, even if it is only a small amount of effort. Then they still don't follow through with it. Even after I have always paid my rent on time and generally been a good tenant.

After what appeared to be an exceptional letting agent. I am left feeling exhausted and thoroughly disappointed with the service I have been given over the course of my tenancy.

Avoid this place......seriously....keep well away.
