EDC Services Group Review

They DO NOT Pay their Vendors. 6 Months out, several phone calls and still no payment. They claim its because their client WESTERN DENTAL HASN'T PAID THEM. Do NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

They take forever to pay and then after 50 days they want to lower the price of your invoice. I do not recommend being a vendor for them

Run the other way if you are a vendor. I dealt with Alan Cutler, and we were asked to push a project. We did everything to meet their schedule, and completed the work. It has been over six months, and we have not been paid a dollar, let alone a response to email or our phone call. Do not work with this company, they will tell you everything you want to hear, and following the completion of the work they disappear. This is the second project we have done with them, and the first project was the same story. We will be pursuing legal action against EDC.

Horrible company. They certainly have a long history of not paying their vendors.

We have been doing business with EDC for a while and we've had a great experience. Also Great response time as well as customer service!

Professional, meticulous, and hard working - who could ask for anything better?

The definition of scams. The trainer is the opposite of professional, dissing the other workers on the flor during training, making fun of them and how they don t follow procedures at all. Then after a week of tests and quizzes, I passed. Was put on the floor for shadowing, and then a few hours later, was pulled aside and fired for having a low test score, and they said I wasn t a good fit for the position. Basically I m too stupid to handle a job that steals money from techs that make the company money. All the trainer did was talk about how the people on the floor don t follow procedures, and then I m fired because my test score is too low? Even though he said I passed? Dont care I was going to quit anyway. So the funny part is, the person I shadowed showed me emails from technicians that said were filing a lien on you, you haven t paid us what you owe us. Not just one email. DO NOT WORK HERE ITS A WASTE OF YOUR TIME I PROMISE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This company has failed in paying subcontractors. RECOMEND NOT TO USE THEM OR TAKE WORK FROM THEM. You have been warned!

I have worked for this company for 4 years and i could not be happier here. It may not be a fit for everyone as it is a demanding job, very fast paced, however we have an amazing team! Great place to work!

They called me, an Electrical Contractor to " tidy- up" & finish some lighting. The real story is they had a non-permitted construction site that city issued a stop work on Electrical, because on no permit.There were many code violations & owner Brian was clueless as to how permitting & inspections occur.Never seemed to understand the importance of procedure. I would have been embarrassed to claim to be a general contractor & not know basic process. Stay away !

I have worked with EDC on several projects. Can t say enough about their staff, professionalism and how well they take care of their vendors. (Can t say it has always been a positive experience but a change in staff has made all the difference). Look forward to a continued business relationship.

The company still owes us money for a job completed for one of their buildings in Morris, IL.

Ive done work in the past for EDC and contracted for The Fresh Market, getting paid took more time then most calls. We terminated service with them for a year or two. They started sending work orders our way again and we decided to give it another try since we were working with someone new, the last lady apparently was no longer with the company. GREAT, well come to find out she is still working with the company, but their turn over rate seems to be very high. You never deal with the same person for long, and the last service call we did for them, totaling a whopping $100, took almost 6 months to collect! Horrible company, avoid at all costs!

Let me also add we were up to date on all paper work, despite having to send it in on several occasions. We have worked with similar companies for the better part of 15 years. It became common practice to send in COI, workers comp, exc in with each work order. All before and after pictures sent in, sign off sheets signed by store managed, work orders sent in with in 48 hours. Despite all this on a NET45 we would still be awaiting payment at the 150 day mark and only resolved payments after dozens of phone calls, emails, and ultimately threats of legal action. This is not a case of contractors not following payment procedures.

Did several jobs for you guys and now I don't hear nothing about my payment and this is getting aggravating one if we don't hear anything by this week by the end of this week we will file lean against Walmart and then you can deal with them and I am trying to be keep my cool with you guys

Great working with EDC Services Group! They have called us multiple times. They always pay us, and have never argued with us too much over the pay (unlike other facility services). Sometimes facility maintanence services are hard to work with, but as long as you do the work they want you to do, take pictures and videos, and do a great job, then they want to cheat you out of your money. NOT EDC Services Group. They are a great company to work for and can always be able to count on Mountaineer Plumbers to handle their plumbing needs.

Alan and his team saved the day today! I needed someone highly skilled and with very short notice, and he was the only one who could deliver the maintenance and service we needed. Highly recommend!

They r the worst. They try to screw their subcontract out of any or all money. They r not up front about anything. Don't hire them or work for them. They r complete scammers straight up!!!!!

I feel like we were manipulated by EDC into doing work for them, as we are still waiting on payment 2 months later. We do not do billing- we require payment same day that work will be done, so Erica Vasquez said she would notate on our file that we would get paid same day. It was clear by the time our plumber was done doing work, that this agreement to pay us same day was a complete fabrication. When we called to get payment, we were told there was no note on our file, and we were told a check would be cut in 30-45 days. It s been an endless game of calling and explaining the situation, just for them to tell me they will call me back later that day. No one ever calls us back. No one can ever tell us the status on the "check" that's supposedly coming. I talked to an accountant, Judy, last week who stated she s authorized to make some payments on Friday, and she might call to make a payment via credit card- which never happened.

We did work for EDC in December of 2017, and never got paid. When Erica called in December of 2018 to set up an appointment, we notified her that there was an unpaid and overdue balance on the account, which she paid immediately. Only 52 weeks late. Maybe we will get payment for this job once EDC needs us again?

Unfortunately there is not a ranking for ZERO stars. Nice response. We have already filed a lawsuit. You really should stop stiffing your contractors.

STAY AWAY! As a ex-vendor, these guys stiffed me for a couple thousand in work.

They will send you work orders, demand it be done and NEVER PAY for work rendered. They are unprofessional, terrible and liars. They gave me a run around and played games. I've turned it over to a law firm to sue them and their clients for damages and getting a lien against their client's property.

NEVER accept checks or credit cards from them. Everything EVERYTHING they say are lies.

I have read several reviews and have a totally differing view from most people. First off, if you can not abide by simple rules & guidelines stipulated in each work order EDC sends your company (I've never seen one that didn't say the same thing every time) this isn't the company for you to do business with. I have been doing business with EDC Group for right at a year now. My company (which I do own) has completed a multitude of work orders for EDC without the slightest problem. We have always been compensated for our services and very fairly I might add. When account managers (Rita, Calvin, Sarah, etc...) from EDC contact me they always speak to me with the utmost respect and handle any problem or situation that may arise in a very professional manner. If I ever have an accounting issue, you better believe that Ms. Gina is on it within seconds of our conversation, it has never went on an unheard ear and always has been resolved in a timely manner (way faster than other companies that we handle the same type of work for). If you've read this review this far and you are looking to business with EDC Group, I'll leave you with this....
- If you do not follow rules well and your out to make a quick buck, this is not the company for you. Don't waste your time or theirs, I guarantee they would rather you be honest with them and save a lot of headaches and/or heartaches for everyone in the long run. They do business with very high profile clients and they have a standard of excellence that surpasses most all companies out there.
- If you hold your company to a higher standard and you want to be part of an elite team. If you strive for excellence with every job you perform, if you want to be in an arena that very few are privileged to work in and last but not least you can follow a simple set of stipulations that are outlined in every work order they send. Then give them a try! If you have any doubts, our company is very easy to find via social media or google. I'll be more than happy to personally share my experiences with EDC with you!

Contractors, Beware working for this management group. They give you a credit card for the first visit to get you to work for them. After the initial visit their account reps beg to be billed and it takes months to collect. They use excuses such as we had high turnover in our accounting department (not my problem). The receptionist is so used to the past due invoice calls she tries to answer questions and give a line of bull. We will be filing suit with them soon due to non payment. Poorest management company I've ever dealt with!

Another Lousy 3rd Party company!! They represent Panda Express. Give you credit card and all. Then the credit card doesn't work and they will not pay for anything. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! THEY WILL NOT PAY YOU!! WE ARE GOING TO COURT WITH THEM!!

I have a invoice that is 11 months old. Repeated calls with no results.

Still owes us money from 2 jobs in omaha nebraska called several times to Ap and no call backs (they are always in a meeting) now this has been sent to a collections agency

I have been doing work for them for about 5 years. I would love to continue to work for them, but they NEVER pay on time. I've been calling every daylately, trying to get paid for 2 jobs , which should have been paid in 30 days or less. If they pay me soon, I will edit my review to reflect it. The paperwork and insurance is up to date and has been confirmed by Dawn, who no longer accepts my calls or return my calls.i have actually been getting paid LATE every month for the last 2 years. Trish use to make sure I got paid in a timely manner if I brought it up to her.i hope this helps other contractors on deciding weather to work for them or NOT

We have worked as a contractor for EDC Services for over 5 years. Like every other Facility Maintenance Company, Payment is Net 45 (Business Days) which translates to about 2 months, which is what everyone does. I have never had 1 problem with payment from EDC Services, and we have done well over 100 hundred jobs for them over the 5 years. We are currently a vendor with over 2 dozen other Facility Maint. Companies just like EDC Services. I would rank EDC in the top 5 out of all the companies like them that we do work for.

Do not work for this company!! They don't pay their sub contractors. They owe me $450 from 4 months ago. When you call, they transfer you to Felicia in A/P. I'm convinced Felicia doesn't even exist because I've called 4 times and have yet to actually talk to her because she doesn't return voicemails.

WARNING...I work for an electrical contractor in central MN, I don't recommend doing business with EDC. Still waiting to get paid on work we did last June 2017 at a JCPenny store in Baxter, MN over $600. Called EDC so may times, always get a different story, check has been in the mail a couple of times...just a scam. I will be contacting JCPenny to try & collect our money. I will be threatening JCPenny with a Lien. If we ever receive payment, I will update this post.

Did work for them in April. Still waiting to get paid.

personally working here coming from NY has been an amazing experience. the higher ups care about what is happening in your personal life and find a way to assist you whenever an issue arises. This definitely isn't a job for everyone but if you can keep up with learning and apply what you learned to the field, work will be hectic due to quantity of work but simple. I appreciate working for this company as much as they appreciate me working for them. Please don't be fooled by what is written on here as we all work extremely hard to get jobs completed and company's paid. We are not trying to lie to anybody and take their money, and that is my word. EDC is a Great company to work for and has put me on my feet not only for myself but my family as well and couldn't be more thankful

I can see now, by the reviews, my experience is not unique.
If zero stars was an option, that is what I would have chosen. My company is still waiting on payment for services that were rendered in NOVEMBER of 2016 at three VERIZON stores in Westchester and Rockland Counties. They have been billed repeatedly and we have been told several times "the check is in the mail". Unless you work for free, don't enter into a business situation with EDC.
