We initially brought Eco Beco in for the county-subsidized energy audit, which was a really informative and useful process. We knew we wanted to make our new home more energy efficient, but we didn't know quite what our problems were. When the recommendations were ready, Reuven was really thorough and not at all pushy. The work has several parts, including insulation and ventilation in several rooms in our house. The projects weren't all straight forward - installing the vent fans took some complicated electrical work and building out the dry wall in our kitchen. All the professionals who came to work on our projects were terrific - skilled, courteous, and efficient. 4 months later, we had a small issue with the functioning of our kitchen's exhaust fan and Eco Beco sent their handyman out the very next day to fix it. I would definitely hire them again.

Straight talk, standout performance. Called them initially seeking another bid after energy audit firm gave us a suspiciously alarming report. Ecobeco were conscientious, easy to work with and straight about the relative benefits of choices we could make. Couldn't have been more impressed and pleased with the results.

We were starting a basement remodel and considering radiant heat for the floors. I had read that it was best to do a home energy audit before making any major decisions on heating so we schedule one with EcoBeco. I found them through Pepco's referral service (to get the subsidy for the Maryland Energy Star program you need to use specific contractors) and found that they had the best ratings. Olu came and did an extensive audit. We received our report within 2 weeks and Nick went over everything with us. While the price tag for recommended modifications was a little higher than we were hoping for we were pretty pleased with the service we received. When we have the funds available we will reach out to continue working with them.

We bought a new (old) house that needed some maintenance done and decided to start with the fundamentals. We read about Pepco's energy efficiency program, joined it and selected ecobeco as the contractor, really by closing our eyes and pointing to a list of contractors.

They were timely, efficient, professional and complete. They performed the initial energy evaluation and provided a detailed, itemized estimate for the recommended work which they took the time explaining in depth and answering all of our questions. There was no hard sell to get any of the work performed. They allowed an ala carte option to pick only that work which we deemed worthwhile. They employed other contractors to complete the work but the companies that they chose all performed well. One even did a quick patch job on an unrelated problem and didn't charge us extra.

ecobeco returned after the work was complete and re-evaluated the house energy-wise. The improvement, both in measurements and in reality were impressive. Our heating bill dropped slightly even though the temperature dropped extremely over the course of the next month. I think that it easily halved our energy bill compared to if the work had not been done. In addition, rooms that were perpetually cold were now cosy.

ecobeco submitted all of the energy paperwork to Pepco which resulted in Pepco reimbursing us for about half of the total project cost. We felt like we were taking a risk when the whole project started but it ended up being a win-win all around. ecobeco managed the project admirably and I don't think that you can go wrong entrusting your projects to them.

Had an energy assessment done and then worked with EcoBeco to do attic air sealing and blown in insulation. Experience was easy, team was knowledgeable and well worth the time and expense. I am currently working on another project with them and looking forward to excellent work and communication.

Outstanding service! A colleague recommended ecobeco based on work the company performed on her home. Ecobeco's energy auditor clearly explained his initial findings. A later written report showed potential efficiencies if recommended measures were taken. The best part is that THERE WERE NO SURPRISES. They did exactly what they promised to do, and were very straight forward in every aspect of the experience. I found this company to be honest and well worth our effort. Within days following the service, we could feel improvement in the comfort of our home.

We initially hired them to renovate our bathrooms and hired them again to do our home energy upgrades and installation of recessed lights on all three levels of our home. We are thrilled with the work and with their quick solutions to surprises along the way!

Appointment window of 1:30p - 4p scheduled with door-to-door employee. Phone number and email address were provided to the employee, at the time of scheduling. Appointment was to occur in 2 days. No one ever showed or called to cancel or reschedule the appointment. I adjusted my schedule to accommodate this appointment, despite my misgivings on tying up such a large portion of the day.
No one showed up.
Someone showed up an hour later, was nice, efficient & wasn't pushy.

These guys used all of the latest diagnostic equipment to assess air infiltration in my house and found the spots where I was loosing heat. They sealed those areas and added insulation to my attic. They also added a ventilation fan to my bathroom which I really needed. The fan is quiet and does not disturb me at all. This is a professional company that knows what they are doing. Oh yes, their electrician and drywall repair guys made my wall look better than it did before!!! Call them if your house is drafty and you want to make it warmer!!
