My sister, Kat(12) has been going to this camp for the past 5 years. and she is going to continue to go to this peaceful, fun, and enthusiastic camp. SHE LOVES IT. She never stops talking about it.

I m a New Zealander who worked at the camp in 2019. There s by no means the perfect summer camp, but I d 100% recommend for parents to send their kids to this one! The impact that the camp has on both the campers and the staff is amazing. I don t think I appreciated it at the time (was very homesick) but working here and living abroad was probably the most important experience of my life. The Camp s directors are good people and always put the kids first and it was real enjoyable to see the smiles on my campers faces every day and see the difference we were making in their lives. If you re thinking of sending your kids here, don t hold back, they ll never forget the awesome experience of the camp

My kids have gone here for 7-8 years, and I can't say enough good things about Echo Hill. The kids literally count down the days (and then hours!) on Facebook until camp starts. Especially recommended for kids who love water-related activities--it's in a gorgeous setting right on the Chesapeake Bay. Sailing, water-skiing, etc. are well taught and much enjoyed. Best of all is the overall culture and attitude: very inclusive, non-judgmental, and welcoming. Counselors come from all over, and genuinely care about their campers.

Be aware: Echo Hill calls itself a "rustic" camp. This means it's not a 5-star hotel. Tents have wood floors but no walls canvas covers and mosquito nets. Most kids don't wear shoes very often, and get bug bites. It's a very outdoors-oriented place. No texting, no smart phones or other digital devices a blissfully unplugged summer. My kids enjoy their creature comforts the rest of the year, but they don't even miss them at camp. They're too busy having fun with friends outdoors!

I used to go here in elementary school with my class. Here I have had some of the best experiences in elementary school. Came here every year and nothings changed! Everyone is so chill here, it really does feel like an outdoor home. I get homesick easily, but the kind staff and my friends cheer me up. I will not forget the amazing things I have done here. The food is phenomenal, the classes make me forget my problems and worries, and this place just makes me feel like I am with my friends. Just, this is amazing.

Camp is amazing your tent mates and your couslers make u feel at home this my fourth year at echo hill every I go back it feels like nothing changes no matter who is in tent you might think we f the bugs rules bugs maybe the only thing u have to worry about rules aren't that many but the that are there follow them there here for u safety echo can't be summed up in word echo rlly is a second for me and most of the people that go there u count down the days and months into go back to camp because it really is a magical place every day u do something different exicting amazing

this camp has already given me so many amazing memories! my parents met here and also, tockwogh is our rival camp. food is amazing and this camp is really fun!

I love this place so much, more than words can describe. School is drama filled, stressful, hard and awful. Camp is the complete opposite. Whenever I am sad I just think of camp and it makes me smile, because I know I truly belong there. Camp is unexplainable happiness and you don t know how amazing it is until you spend your summer there. This is going to be my 4th year and the bonds I have made with my friends are amazing. Equally as amazing, the memories. Camp is one big family and you can tell that from every regatta, flag raising, WBAA game, dell, feast, EA, and most of all the camp fire after the awards when we sing cano songs in the circle.Camp is my home and I can t wait to go back.

Echo Hill was one of the best experiences of my life.The foods delicious the activities are always amazing and I never want to leave when I get there. It s so much fun to sneak out late at night and play pranks on girl side.Im so excited to go back this summer I just wish Echo Hill was a all year round sleep away camp.

A wonderful experience for my son, who attended there at ages13-16. A great social experience, it made my son more confident relating to different people. The camp has nice people, good food, and plenty of water sports. He learned to sail and was thrilled.

Echo Hill is a judge-free place where you can be yourself and go through life-changing experiences. It is my home-away-from-home, and I love going back every summer.

My two children have been going to EHC for the past 8 years, and both are now counselors at the camp. Echo Hill, which is owned and operated by the fantastic Rice family (for generations), is an extraordinary place for kids to find themselves, discover their passions, strengthen and also discover their talents, and blossom amidst a supportive and loving community that is so rare to find anywhere. It is difficult to convey the powerful and positive impact EHC has had on my kids and others I know of. Can I say NO INTERNET, NO CELLPHONES! And my children have thanked me for that - saying it gave them space to truly and not virtually experience life and community. Let's just say the EHC experience is transformational. My children have said many times over how incredibly thankful they are to have had the opportunity to be campers and now counselors at this wonderful place, which has become a home away from home for them.

This camp has changed my life and without it I would definitely be a different person.

i loved going to echo hill! the food was amazing and almost everyone was really nice. the counselors were awesome and all super nice. i found out about it cause my mom took a field trip there in high school. i had a lot of fun and made lots of friends easily. though its a bit pricey.

This Summer Camp changed my life in so many positive ways. I owe so much of the good things that have happened to me to my experiences at Echo Hill and a guarantee that I would not be where I am now, if it wasn't for EHC.

It's the best camp EVER!!! So much fun!!! I can't wait to go tomorrow!!!!!

Only problem was toilets and showers. Also bugs. FOOD IS AMAZING, CORNBREAD IS TO DIE FOR, pulled pork was my favorite, curly fries are good.

This was really fun! I enjoy coming every year to see all my friends and counselors. If you like your friends more than you hate your bug bites this is the place for you!!! It's amazing and almost everyone I SEE is happy here and it's great

My daughter has been going to this camp for 4 years and this will be here 5th. Every year she comes home and wants to go back. Echo Hill Camp is certainly a home away from home. Sending my daughter do this camp is the best decision and she enjoys it so so much. Can't wait for her summer 2019!

This camp provided one of the worst camp experiences ever. The tents were dirty and wet and there were very few planned activities (the choices were either fishing or swimming). They did not have an opportunity to canoe or take in other activities. We were beyond disappointed by this camp and will not return.

This camp changed my life in more ways than one. Everyone is like family, with bonds ever so strong. The camp itself is very peaceful, and conflicts hardly arise. I look forward to it every year, and count down the days until it comes. I can't imagine a summer without it. If I had never gone to Echo Hill, I cannot say that I would be the same person typing this review right now. You must experience camp to know how peaceful and magical it is. A 5 star rating is an understatement. I am proud to say Echo Hill is my second home.

All three of my kids love this camp - it has been life-altering and confidence building for all of them! It's a magical place!

It's only my first year and it has changed my life in so many positive ways. I have no complaints. I Had one of the best times of my life.

Going to Echo Hill was one of the greatest decisions I ever made. Unlike the normal bunch, I started attending my freshman year of high school. I was thrown in with all of the people that had already been going for 5+ years. Within the first 6 hours, I had made the best friends I have ever had. My first day was on our Open Mic night and performed with the other girls in my tent with ease and was very comfortable with putting myself out there. The overall vibe from the camp is loving and very accepting. As a whole, Echo Hill Camp is the perfect place to spend your whole summer or even just 2 weeks.

I love echo hill!!! i have so much fun with all my friends and everyone is so nice there!!! the activities and food are amazing too! in a few days i will be back home!!!!
