Beautiful church turned theater in the heart of Little Tokyo. Recently saw a preview performance of "Animals Out of Paper" and was thoroughly pleased. The theatre itself is a fairly small proscenium reminiscent of community college or high-school stages. Nothing too fancy. If anything it forces the viewer to focus that much more attention on what's happening on-stage. Overall, the show was good. I understand that it was a preview performance so there are still some tweaks to be made to the show but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Definitely a theatre worth checking out and the mission of East West Players is truly admirable.

Love this historic theatre! It is a great venue to see new and significant productions. Easy to get to---Gold line Metro station is a couple blocks away and a parking lot just actors the street. Plus a plethora of pre and post restaurants to satisfy one's hunger!

So much fun! I've been here twice and have been thoroughly entertained. The actors are brilliant, the set decoration was spot on. And there are lots of places within walking distance to have a drink or a meal.

A friend brought me to see Mamma Mia. I enjoyed the performance. We had seats in the balcony. The sound was great. Please note if you can not climb three flights of stairs the lift only goes up to the second floor.

In Los Angeles parking is a premium but across the street is parking and it was reasonable $3 for the evening. A bit hard to find the entrance but well worth coming a few minutes early to find parking.

Longest running theater of color with consistency good productions! Always worth seeing what their latest project is! They seem to be keeping the same high standards that Tim Dang and Lynn Arthur's had done for so long! Enjoyed my last show there, nothing like LIVE theater!

Unfortunately, with even the new artistic director at the helm, productions at East West Players remain at an all time low. Regardless whether it's a musical revival or a world premiere play, the quality of acting, singing, direction, and production value is poor.

I love East West Players! They put on such lovely productions. Saw Sandra Tsing Oh's Sugar Plum Fairy yesterday and I laughed so hard. Fantastic, thoughtful work and acting happens here. It's a great place and great time. Definitely recommend others see a show here.
