one of several international airports Moscow is quite large and informative, there are cafes, souvenir shops, good duty free, despite the fact that it is in the countryside, you can get to the city quickly and easily, there is magnificent nature and forests around. The staff are at a good level of service, polite and professional.

Precautions are currently being taken. There is a wonderful collection of retro cars in the lobby of the airport. I think the children will be delighted with what they see.
I like this airport for its convenience and simplicity. A beautiful building from the outside. The territory and the inside of the airport are clean and well maintained. The layout is simple and straightforward. Many different cafes, restaurants and fast food, but not modestly expensive. Inside the airport building itself, there is the Airhotel. There is a huge multi-storey car park. You can get from the airport to Moscow by Aeroexpress to the Paveletsky railway station, by buses or minibuses number 308 to the Domodedovskaya metro station. In 10 minutes of a quiet walk there is the Aerotel hotel, there is a restaurant on the second floor, which offers a buffet for 550 rubles per person. You can eat tasty and satisfying from the heart.
I was in the transit terminal of the airport, and it's clean and everything is clear. Signs, boards - you can immediately find your way around the area. The staff really needs to slow down a little;
Immigration check takes lot of time.. They ask you to wait aside for at least an hour even though all documentation is proper.. It looks Iike they have in experienced staff to handle international passengers...
all would be fine, but incredibly few toilets, especially for women. Elementary, you go out in the arrivals area, and there is one toilet and there are only a couple of booths. The same problem is in the departure area, there are few cabins, and those that are, half are closed for repairs. Well, how is that ?! Fly through the balloon if possible!
Very beautiful place, friendly staff, gave directions to check-in and exit. Thank you very much, without you I would be lost) The only negative is the food prices.
The airport is actively developing. Compared to large Asian hubs, of course, not so fast, but very competently, transitions, signs - everything is in place. I put a four for one small storage room for the entire airport with a very inconvenient escalator.
he airport is named after the town of Domodedovo, on the territory of which it is located.
Survey work on the construction of the new Capital Airport began in 1948, after the relevant decision of the Politburo. Then it was described as a special "facility 306".
In 1951 the first preparatory work on its construction began: cutting firebreaks, the construction of access roads, including roads branch from Paveletskaya.
1954 Resolution of the Council of Ministers of 13 November, approved the proposal of the Main Directorate of the Civil Air Fleet under the Council of Ministers of the USSR on the construction of the second airport of the Moscow civil air fleet near the village Elgazin Podolsky (now Domodedovo) Moscow Oblast.
In 1958 a decree of the USSR Council of Ministers instructed to complete construction of the first stage of the airport in 1962.
In 1962 Order of the Head of Main Directorate of Civil Aviation issued on April 7 200 "On the organization of the Moscow Domodedovo airport" ordered to "organize as part of the Moscow Transport Aviation Management Directorate the new airport, and continue to call it the Moscow Domodedovo Airport. Therefore, April 7, 1962 is considered the official birthday of the airport. By the end of 1962, after the official approbation, the airport began send and receive postal and cargo planes.
Services from Domodedovo began in March 1964 with a flight to Sverdlovsk using a Tupolev 104. The airport, intended to handle the growth of long-distance domestic traffic in the Soviet Union, was officially opened in May 1965. A second runway, parallel to the existing one, was put into service 18 months after the opening of the airport. On 26 December 1975, Domodedovo Airport was selected for the inaugural flight of the Tupolev Tu-144 to Alma Ata.
Men's toilet 2nd floor common room, next to McDonald's. Kapets! Also, the cleaning lady yells "hey, do not sit in the booths, there is a queue, and you are not at home." At the same time, half of the taps are broken, so you need to look for soap.
Travelled on 5th September to London. Coffee and tea prices 480 -500 rubles. 2.5 times more expensive than in other EU and London airports. Departure area overcrowded with no seats available, air conditioning is very poor. No Wi-Fi subscription available if you do not hold Russian Sim Card.
Easily by far the worst airport ever. No water, rude, long lines, no place to sit, crowded, uncomfortable, stressful, terrible bathrooms. This does not deserve even one star. For the people posting 5 stars... their google accounts need to be banned.
The worst airport in Moscow. It can take up to 2 hours just to go through all controls. The queues are organized terribly. I arrived 4 hours before my flight and I was almost late. If you have an alternative flight options from SVO or VKO go there, even if it costs more. Otherwise you'll lose a lot of nerves at DME and you might probably miss your flight as well and eventually lose more money. Furthermore there are always a lot of delays because of this mess.
Heavy with a taxi, you need to understand where you stand and order from Yandex for example. There are a lot of left-hand taxi drivers who impose their services and the airport administration is not struggling with this.
They made a make up for the football world cup 2018 but the airport in not nice.....we can say average.....look still old stylebut well maintained..... today they are painting and there is big smell ....I have an headache for the strong smell of chemical paint
Immigration officers at the passport control are suspicious of everyone, racist and amazingly slow. With a queue of about 50 people they were spending at least twenty minutes per international citizen, doubting every passenger and seeing them as a potential terrorist. Not only this is completely offensive to all the tourists coming to visit Russia but a complete disgrace to a country's services which should be welcoming and trusting to begin with rather than the other way round.
Not even close to the confort of SVO. Very crowded, noisy and the security personnel is terrible and rude to everyone. Modern building on the flip side.
Well organised airport. Quite big but easy to navigate. Staff is very professional and not arrogant or mean like in most European and American airports. Duty free is not very big but has quite a bit of Russian vodka and other alcohols with good deals. There are good coffee shops also serving good coffee and sandwiches, etc. They only except Rubles or credit cards.
Have a nice day, everyone. We flew to Domodedovo from vacation. Our flight was delayed for 3 hours. It's not that bad. We had 2 hours to fly so we sat and waited for our plane and when they would be served. My rating is 4. Because we were brought to terminal D, and there is apparently only one toilet in this terminal. 2 booths and 1. We laughed so hard when the floor of the plane stood in line for the toilet, and there were not enough booths like that. So make your own conclusions. ')
It is necessary to organize a competent receipt of an express analysis of covib 19 emigrants, tortured receiving nervous, it is immediately clear what was put on them, everyone suffers from this, please make additional reception windows or involve specialists who could organize the correct distribution of the queue for the peace of mind of all people, poor cleaning lady in the men's toilet how much strength she has to look at. Wish people who take the analysis.
Something is very bad. We haven't been here for a long time and now ... Maybe the pandemic had such an effect, it is unknown. But the airport is in some kind of desolation. Taps and locks on the doors do not work in the toilets, there are no napkins. On almost all boards, instead of flight information, there is an advertisement for COVID-19 tests. In the entire airport, only one small rack with sockets for smartphones was found. But a bottle of water costs 150 rubles. In general, I VERY did not like it.
I will not write about covid and social distance. A good airport, for how many years I have been flying, everything is being expanded and completed. Luggage is taken out very quickly, you don't have to wait long - it's nice. It's still cramped inside! The gates are very close to each other, there are crowds of people and a bunch of people are running between them in search of their exit. You can have a snack, just sit - there are a lot of places to wait. Disappointing this time was very dirty and broken-down toilets, although it would seem that they should shine with covid. Pleased with the presence of a free "playground" near the cafe "mu-mu". In the case of a long wait for the flight, children will have more fun. Overall good
The airport is good. Modern, huge ... Aeroexpress is convenient to get from to Moscow. Only it is necessary to go a little before the train along the street, and there the Kyrgyz constantly dig something. The principle of "dry legs" does not work. And so all the conditions for a comfortable departure expectation and convenient navigation for arrivals.
This airport is large and modern. There is no smoking room in the airport transit lounge and smoking is prohibited and this is really incomprehensible. Access to mobile charging is difficult. Toilets smell like cigarettes because people smoke in toilets. The wait at Moscow Airport is exhausting.
Everything is alright, the only complain I have about this airport is not enough cafes, the few ones there are just american fast food crap, frozen food that they microwave for you. No one of them with a descent kitchen.
On the way from the aeroexpress to the terminal building, there was a baggage packing counter for 500 rubles, but there was no employee. I didn't wait, but in vain! At the airport itself, there is only one baggage packing counter and costs 1000 rubles! Feel the difference and get ready!
Check-in was a breeze at the Lufthansa Business class counters on the first floor and departures/immigration were on the 2nd. There are no smoking areas inside the terminal, so do your thing before you decide to go in. Toilets smell. Exit immigrations was a nightmare because the junior immigration officer had never seen a SGP passport before and caused me extra rude/dubious questioning and delays from other officers who did not speak English and suspected I was an asylum seeker while taking a return flight home. Not a good ending to my holiday. Lots of eateries/duty free shops at airside that ONLY accepted Euros and not Rubles. Oh, no one here smiles. None. Don't expect it. Its a cultural thing.
A great place if you arrive at night, quiet, calm, skip the line. They take from the plane with a thermal imager, collect questionnaires, collect money for covid tests, return suitcases quickly, clean toilets, full of working cafes.
Very crowded airport (July 3rd), no places to sit. Good eating options. Second floor food court was very busy. Once past security check point there are plenty of bars/restaurants.
Medium service airport. Either they are looking for luggage, then the boarding machine in the machine prints so that you have to check in at the counter.
The reason I give this airport a 4 is that it is not very well air conditioned in the pre departure and arrival areas & there is no seating downstairs. Remember there are 3 airports at Moscow and this airport is the furthest distance away. Sheremetyevo is the main one & Vnukovo. Very difficult to find your airline to check in as signage is pretty non existent. Leave yourself plenty of time to get from ABC or D terminal to other terminal by train. Train comes every 4 minutes but they are very full in peak times. The toilets downstairs just can t cope with the volume and especially in the baggage carousel area there is only one lot of toilets for hundreds of people coming in!! The next lot of toilets are in the main checkin areas!! Just not good enough. Other than that, before you go past the last departure gate, the shops are very good there is a good range of different foods to eat. This limits down once you get through to the gate area. If you are gluten-free it is very very difficult to find something to eat so my advice is to bring yer own!!! Lovely comfortable lounge type seats upstairs to sleep in, a few charging stations, getting DME_free wifi is pretty useless if you haven t got a mobile. Go to SPATEN, have a Munich beer and German sausages to get the free wifi there... Nevertheless this airport is world class and getting better.
Dirt is in one word. All for show - there are dispensers - no soap. Dryers are not working. No paper towels. Dispensers for antiseptics are everywhere - but empty. There are masks on the staff, but on the chin.
Immigration officer is rude and let people wait in line while he's watching video on his smartphone with colleagues and laughing. Top many taxi drivers trying to scam you for a lot of money (5500 rub) while you can get to the city by train paying only 780 rub.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport (Russian: , IPA: [d m d d v ]) (IATA: DME, ICAO: UUDD) is an international airport located on the territory of Domodedovo, Moscow Oblast, Russia, 42 kilometres (26 mi) south-southeast from the centre of Moscow. Domodedovo is one of the three major Moscow airports along with Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo, as well as one of the largest airports in Russia and the former USSR in terms of passenger and cargo traffic. In 2017, it served 30,700,000 passengers, an increase of 7.6% compared to 2016,[2] making it the second busiest airport in Russia after Sheremetyevo International Airport. Domodedovo is Moscow's only privately owned airport, believed to be owned by Russian businessman Dmitry Kamenshchik.[3]
The airport is not bad. True oooooochen long))) And as long as I can remember, there is always a construction site. It is, of course, good that development, but sometimes it s difficult with approach-entrances ...
One of the best airports! Cleanliness, good traffic organization. Correct passenger logistics. Fast check-in and check-in for flights. And in general the airport is beautiful !!! Sky and planes !!
Despite the pandemic, at Domodedovo, as always, crowds of people and an eternal construction site outside and inside, and this is the largest airport, this is possible only in Russia
Spacious, clear guidance, no lines and no irritating waiting queues. Duty-free shops, eating and drinking venues are quite good and pretty reasonably priced
4 stars for the fact that air conditioning can not cope. The review is relevant for July 2020. Overall, a normal airport otherwise. I ve been flying through it for many years. # Arstyle
The security check at the terminal entrance is ridiculous. Dear airport, this security check only works when there is almost no lines, not when there are hundreds of people waiting in the entrance of the airport... Besides that: a well organised airport, enough places to have a meal, a drink or duty free shopping. Also border security was excellent without any lines and polite officers. Just think again about the security check at terminal entrance, besides that: a very good airport!
A modern airport, there are not enough sculptures of some kind, on the topic of folk art, for example, three heroes, like in Thai dragons at the airport, as well as an ordinary good glass house.
Had a Rolex watch lost on the airplane seat. Try contacting Singapore air they contacted the cleaning crew in this airport and no one saw the watch. Immigration would not let me go back to airplane and they dont understand English. Just kept telling me to go in which sounded offensive.
Large airport, but rather clean, helpful staff, good infrastructure (you can get to the metro at a low cost - by bus or train), it is convenient in general
