Great place to stay. Very clean and the host couldnt ask for nicer people. With rv spots, tents and cabins theres something for everyone. We go on road trips for months at a time and this is the nicest place we've been to in a while. I would definitely recommend this place.

Called 45 minutes before arrival and received a courteous and positive response. Upon arrival another guest rolled up. We were told where to eat and to return to register at our assigned space. A very accomodating park. The park has all necessities, is quiet with playground areas and grills. It is very inexpensive!

This is the TIGHTEST campground I stayed in on a 6 week trip with my 23 foot travel trailer. Could not pull out in the morning without the assistance of two neighbors, and I was not the only one with the problem. Dogs barked both afternoons and evenings of a two day stay. I would have preferred a Walmart parking lot.

We visited Thermopolis 10 days ago and tried out another RV camp that was awful, so we called Dennis to see if he had room and went right over to Eagle RV park. It was delightful, easy to get around with our long bed truck and 31 foot trailer, clean and quiet. No train noise or mineral smell and the owner is friendly, helpful, and caring. Having checked out the other parks in town, Eagle is quite definitely the best choice.

We have stayed at this park several times...it is sooo nice to have mature trees, clean campground and clean restrooms! Owners are very accommodating and we will continue to stay. We have never had a problem with our 40 foot Motor Coach and a 20 ft vehicle trailer getting in and out of the spaces.

A really nice, reasonably priced campground in a central location. My partner and I stayed here 3 days in early September during a hot spell, so hookups, especially the electric which enabled use of the A/C were welcomed following a 5 day stay in a BLM campground. It's very convenient when fishing the Bighorn River's public water below the Wind River canyon to the 'wedding of the water's public access. The showers/restrooms are very clean and well maintained and the owners most obliging. I'll stay here again when in the area.

Weeks ago I promised Dennis, Kristine, and Dood th...

Weeks ago I promised Dennis, Kristine, and Dood that, once I got settled somewhere, I would take a moment to write their Eagle RV Park a ringing endorsement and to express my gratitude for their hospitality.

This discussion represents the fulfillment of that promise.

Coming off three weeks of back-breaking, unremunerative, and unrewarding labor in Yellowstone Park, and two full, strenuous days of exploring Cody, Wyoming, I sorely needed a place of refuge in Thermopolis, where I wanted, first, to study paleontology at the Wyoming Dinosaur Center and, second, to learn the Wild West history of the Bighorn Basin, which is brimming with it.

Without rest, however, and, in particular, a safe place to relax and recuperate, I couldn't possibly accomplish a fraction of what I aspired to do in Thermopolis.

Haggard from life on the road, blasted by the scorching sun, and worn out from the relentless heavy-lifting I had been doing in Yellowstone, I yearned for a green oasis in the dusty terrain of west-central Wyoming.

The kind folks at Eagle RV Park provided that sanctuary, and they went out of their way to do so. I was car-camping, in an effort, mostly successful, to economize and simplify. I rolled into Eagle RV Park the week before the Fourth of July. The crew at Eagle RV was taking bookings left and right, getting slammed not around the Fourth but several days before it (in 2018, the Fourth fell midweek). The campground was filling up sooner than they had expected. With all those RV reservations, conditions were ripe for the establishment to make a lot of money fast.

Then there was poor, car-camping Todd H., who needed only a safe campsite and a shower. Eagle RV Park wasn't going to make much money off me. Yet Dennis, Kristine, and Dood accommodated me without hesitation. They recognized my fatigue and need, and they responded accordingly.

Dennis, Kristine, and Dood, understanding my desire for shade in which to park and rest, also saw to that important amenity. They reserved an appropriate spot for me. Shade is sparse in west-central Wyoming. Eagle RV Park has enough of it to cool down a beleaguered explorer like me.

The Eagle folks didn't have to do any of this, but they did. They could have moved an RV into my spot both nights. But they set aside a place for little old me.

I'm grateful, folks, and I won't forget your kindness and cooperation. It's a long, hard road for a lone traveler like me, one getting around on a shoe-string budget. But you made my stay in Thermopolis not only restful but also intellectually profitable, as I learned more in about 48 hours in Thermopolis (including at the Hot Springs County Museum, as fine an exhibit of the American West that you'll find anywhere) than I had in my three weeks of bone-wearying labor in Yellowstone Park. I have Dennis, Kristine, and Dood to thank for that.

My pleasant stay at Eagle RV Park also gave me the respite that I needed to prepare for my race across the United States to upstate South Carolina -- a distance of 1,820 miles that I covered in 37 hours and 20 minutes.

Madness. Don't try this at home -- or, that is to say, on the road. Yet for several reasons, including extremely hot weather across the Midwest, which, except the one late night between midnight and five in the morning, didn't allow me to get any sleep in the back seat of my car, I thought it best, as long as I remained alert, to press on.

Once I got to South Carolina, however, I was disappointed, and longed to be back in Thermopolis, back with the dinosaurs, and the pronghorn, and the high desert . . . and in the welcoming, cozy confines of Eagle RV Park and Campground and its remarkable environs.

The Dood abides.

This RV Park is a great oasis in the middle of Wyoming. We stayed for two nights in a camping trailer and really enjoyed. It has plenty of shade and the owners/managers are very friendly and helpful. I think almost every sot is shaded. It is also very clean! The showers and bathroom were spotless. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we'll definitely be back.

Great place to spend a few days. The people who run the Eagle RV Park are awesome! We had a pop-up so they made sure we had good shade and showed us the best place to park our truck. We took advantage of their free DVD rental (borrow) and very affordable ice cream. Family friendly, clean, and safe. What else would we need. Thanks guys!

Lots of amenities and plenty of shade. Large, clean bathrooms with 2 showers each, a public outdoor triple sink for camp cleanup and dishes, a play area great for infants through preteens, and a large covered patio stocked with tables and grills - they even provide you with propane. Free rentals of horseshoes for their on-site horse shoe pit, and free badminton net, racquets and birds. WiFi is included with your site fee, although it does get a little congested at night. The only negative is the spacing. The camping spots seem to be a little tight. However, they seem to be consistent with Fountain of Youth, the other large campground in the area. All in all, it's a well maintained campground, one that we keep visiting without hesitation.

This is an RV & tent camp site with a few cabins. The new owners are very friendly and the site is very clean. There is plenty of space to spread out. We had a lot that use to be used for 2 tents & a cabin but the owners only book 1 camper per site now (cabin stay or tent, not both). The restrooms are quite clean & have shower stalls. There's a gathering space at the front of the grounds with grills & tables, as well as a play area. There were RV's of all sizes and comfortable space between each space. Our family was at another RV site they've used for years but we will come back to Eagle RV next yr to tent camp. (Only 8 mins from the family site).

I have stayed here two different years. The park is tight but everyone helps when you are getting out. The spaces have the units all pointed in the same direction so that your privacy is maximized in tight arrangement. The shade, trees and grass is wonderful! Very nice people, The new owner was super and just as nice as the previous owner, The dog walk area is nice and hopefully gets expanded but we found many places to walk our legs. I look forward to coming back again.

Nice little RV park, friendly owners, functional if small and hot laundry room, nice little park store with the important stuff like ice cream bars, good solid 4 stars, shaded spaces, just a little cramped in site spacing, gravel sites and roadways.

The hosts at this park are AMAZING!! Very friendly and easily some of the nicest people you will ever meet. We tent camped here for one night only as we were passing through, but would have stayed longer had time allowed.

Changed planned to stay in Thermopolis on the way to Yellowstone after finding out about the hot springs and the dino dig. we only stayed for one night but we had a great experience. We stayed in the Bear cabin and I was very surprised. On our trip we stayed in 3 different campground in cabin and this was the cheapest and the most comfortable. They had nice thick mattresses on the beds that where very comfortable. The office staff was very nice and gave us direction to the places we wanted to see. The kids where a little bummed that the playground was closed but it was only because the re-stained the swing set and it looked great. Over all it was a great experience and I would recommend staying here.

This was the last place we could find without driving another 2 hours east. Turned out to be a great spot. Spaces are snug but graveled and treed. Bathrooms were clean and showers great. 3 minutes off road so quite.

Clean and well maintained. We stayed in the adjoining cornfield during the eclipse in 2017. The people are friendly, they let me use their wifi, their water, and we are likely to go back again. It's a very nice place.

The owners are very nice. I stayed in the Deer Lodge, one of the smaller cabins and it was very comfortable and clean. For the price per night it's nice that you get a microwave and a fridge. Bathrooms were very clean and showers were free. They also have laundry facilities and grills for you to use.

Booked 3 nights and then tried to call and cancel 24 hrs before our arrival. They have 2 phone numbers and no one would answer either of them. Double checked the numbers and tried again with the same response. When we check in the charged us for an additional night saying they were here and we must have dialed the wrong number. I showed them on my cell phone the outgoing calls. They still charged me.
The sites are extremely tight. Had to set motorhome at angle so we could extend our slide outs.
Needed to get an extension for sewer, power, and cable hookups. The utilities are located at the corner of the pull through site.
Directly outside our door was Dog poop. We had to clean up to avoid stepping in it.
Will not stay here again.

We were grateful to find this pleasant, well cared for park right when we wanted to be out of the wind and cozy during a late spring snow. We appreciated the trees and quiet, a friendly place to spend several days and highly recommend it to others.

So I'm traveling cross country on my motorcycle. A lot of the trip I've been staying at KOA's just because of the consistency and knowing what I'm getting. I stopped here for one night though and it was a fantastic experience.

The owners are probably the nicest people I've met so far on my trip. The experience definitely makes me want to avoid KOA's and try more local campsites.

I was actually arriving late because I had engine troubles. The woman at the front desk on the phone offered to stay later for me if I couldn't make it by 9. What?... Customer service is incredible. Also upon hearing I was having engine trouble she said she could have her son drive out 45 minutes to pick me up and tow my bike. On top of that, when I arrived the manager or owner (not sure which) gave me a discounted rate because I got there late and he "wanted to do something nice to help me out."

Seriously, congrats. If you're reading this looking for a campsite, you're done. You found it. Check in, you won't regret it.
