A nice course tucked away on the bottom of the mountain and surrounded by homes. Condition of the course can be a little better and they should be able to do the job with the amount of crew I saw on a Tuesday morning. The one star review is for quality of service and lack of care and common sense. Here's my experience:
I tee off at 6:30 solo because family is sleeping in at Harrah's Rincon. The front 9 was smooth but a horrible experience with back 9... sprinklers are on full blast starting at hole 13 thru hole 17. I call the pro shop and informed them about the situation and the staff tells me a crew is a little preoccupied and will be there soon to turn off the water. Ok, I'm good with that. I tee off at 14 and I'm waiting for the sprinklers to be turned off so I can hit my 2nd shot. I wait, wait, wait but water is still on. I call the pro shop again and ask about the sprinklers and the response I got was unbelievable. To paraphrase the guy... he basically said it is what it is... just skip a few holes and we can credit you for back 9. WTH!!! Right about now I'm wet, my cart is wet, my bag is wet... i'm livid and stuck! I pick up my ball while getting wet and drive to the next hole cause I'm trying to finish and get back to hotel but I can't drive thru the course because the damn sprinklers are on everywhere. The picture I posted doesn't do justice. I think that was hole 15 and I was literally stuck because of the sprinklers. I wait, wait, wait for the water to turn off but of course the sprinklers kept going. I manage to zig zag my wait through and finish my round while avoiding getting more wet. To add, common courtesy for the course crew is to quiet down when someone is around the green and especially a player is putting. But, common sense is not so common here. I forget the hole number but I am putting for a birdie and this guy on law mower get closer and closer to the hole while I'm lining up for the putt. You gotta be kidding me!!! I could have taken the opportunity to voice my frustration but I figured it was pointless and told myself I would write a review when I'm back home so here it is.
One positive I take from the experience was the drive to the course.
