Great software - great people - as of this time you still need to watch out for hidden costs... extra modules cost more .. and cost time.. and you often dont realize what you need until you are in the middle of setting up the system.. biggest cost for our business was actually the labor to set everything up..

A great business and a great place to work. I have done business with Esh Computer Center since 1997. I have always admired the integrity and professionalism that Esh Computer exemplifies. That is why I decided to join the team 8 years ago. We stand behind everything we do and our goal is to support our customers to the best of our ability.

OK software. Tech support slow on resolving glitches. I have issues a year old and unresolved. You better have tech savvy employees to operate the POS. It's not easy and unforgiving when a mistake is made. Interface with folders has annoyingly small icons. Prepair yourself for pain when dealing with serialized inventory. Reporting is very extensive with so many file paths that you will need a spreadsheet to remember how to get to the specific report you want. I wish I would have had a review like this to read before I bought it. As mentioned in another review the purchase price is only half the story. Set up and modules will be expensive and take a lot of time unless you have a very good accountant on staff.

Great software, I like it. Was with them 8 years, and suddenly they sent me a notice that my yearly software update subscription is going up 400%, yes 400%! I did not ask for any additional service or software. Just arbitrarily going up. I complained and managed to get it back to a little under 300% increase. I am a small business owner, and my yearly cost is going to be over $4500. I already have $20000 invested, if i switch software brands, I lose that money. The thought seems to be that the people that have purchased the software are heavily invested and won't back out now if we jack the rates, and the salesperson admitted that it could have had some influence in the decision to jack the rates as high as they did. And if you stop paying the subscription, no software fixes for you if you get a glitch!! I couldn't increase my prices 400%, or my customers would leave, but Eagle Business Software knows you can't leave without leaving a lot behind. You are stuck. The software is great but the company changed.
Oh yes, with the rate increase the quality and speed of service was supposed to improve. I have not seen a change for the better there. Oh yes, the CCO sends out warm fuzzy messages that they are listening and are so proud that the customers ideas show up at the core of their decision making.Your journey with us matters. Your feedback and insight are valuable to us! Maybe depending who you are and how big your are, but I HADN'T NOTICED.
Also with 1 update I lost a function that I used a lot. I asked about it several times, but was told that I would need to pay to custom program it back it! What?? take away a function then charge to put it back in???
Again, I like the software, but I feel like I've been blindsided. It seems like taking advantage of a person that has placed a higher level of trust in them than the average business transaction, If your gas station raise prices 400%, you will simply go down the street to purchase gas. This is different, by purchasing software, you are committing to a long term businees relationship, based on what they tell you at the time of purchase. This kind of jump in prices is a breach of that long term trust.
What other business can charge for services you don't use. Does your car dealer force you to pay for services you don't use? No, but if a customer commits to a long term relationship and is invested in their software then a company can switch their ethics, and do this kind of rate increases, and what can the customer do, but lose money either way.
If I eat the first 300% increase, can I swallow the next one? I cannot get a promise that there will not be another one. They say we don't anticipate one; likewise I and the sales person that sold it to me most certainly did not anticipate the first 400% increase when i purchased software 8 years ago. You make the decision. Ask your self, can I afford a 400% increase when i did not request anything to change? Can i afford another one? there is no promise that an increase will happen, and likewise there is none saying it will not . You won't get a promise against it happening. YOU MAKE THE DECISION.
