e3 Civic high is an amazing school with amazing students, staff and opportunities. Students who are accepted into UCSD receive a 4 year scholarship with $10,000 per year! The students also have the opportunity to be part of study abroad programs to China and Mexico. The class sizes are small and scholars have to work hard to pass their competency based math classes, AP courses and prepare for the SAT which every junior must take. Oh, the school is in the new downtown library in an amazing space on the 6th and 7th floors. If you are looking for a state of the art school, e3 is the place with it's internships and design thinking projects. Check them out!

I have been here for 1 yr and its has been the worst, the staff doesn't know how to respect the students they are always on our back and watching everything we do, we make a little mistake and they make a big deal about it, the schedule is dumb, the teachers don't know how to give class, we loose class time due to "uniform check", when they call the parents they act like we (students) are the bad ones and they change the story for them to seem like they are (teachers, staff) innocent ones and the parents believe them.

Excellent school with rigor and great Spanish/Mandarin Immersion programs. My son and daughter has learned so much. We are excited for them and being college ready with SAT prep, Achieve(reading), Khan Academy/IXL (Math), Coding, UCSD extension courses and personalized instruction with small class size. I admire the work that the LF's do each and every day!

Coming out of middle school, I was looking for high schools to go to when I got a flyer for e3 Civic High and when doing more research this school looked very promising so I decided to attend. After attending three years I now realize that this school is very unorganized with the learning curriculum and teachers are constantly being fired which makes creating relationships very hard, from freshman year to senior year only two of my teachers are still attending e3 Civic high and the rest were fired. This school still has multiple things to improve on and I hope that it does so very soon for the incoming freshman.

I am currently a teacher at e3 Civic High. I can not say enough positive things about the community (or family) that has been created here. The learning facilitators (teachers) share their passion for learning with the scholars (students). But that in itself does not speak to the great things that are happening here. Teachers use engaging and relevant lessons to walk the scholars through the learning process. Design Thinking principles are used to solve complex problems. Restorative practices are used to foster the relationships between all. Trips to China and Mexico are made possible by the school and international staff. Job shadows are coordinated for ALL scholars. Internships are facilitated for all seniors and interested scholars. Thousands of hours of community service are completed by the scholars each school year. The list goes on and on. I am simply happy to be a part of a school that is a change maker in the lives of the students that have the unique opportunity to be part of this experience.

This school is horrible. Attended for 2 years & it never felt like school, more like a daycare. I moved to a regular high school & my credits were messed up & I didn t know anything that I was supposed to know at my grade level. Also, the admin cares too much of the uniforms rather than the actual education. Too strict on the littlest things.
