This is a great shooting ground. Plenty of different shooting areas. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The instructors very experienced, patient and helpful. There's a well stocked shop and nice clubhouse. Plenty of parking space.
This shooting ground is excellent for people of any age, size or ability. It is a great day out for all the family and the instructors are friendly and give you lots of support! Enjoy
Fantastic shooting ground, top class tuition, and lovely setting. Was lucky enough to attend through my company, but definitely intend to return in my own time. Thank you to all the staff who made mine and my customers day thoroughly enjoyable! Well worth the 4 hour round trip from East Anglia!
Firstly my instructor was Ed Walter's. What a gem of a man. Very patient and extremely informative. Couldn't have asked for a nicer instructor for my first time. Cant wait to go again.. Thanks Ed. Your a star.
Great people and facilities throughout. We are new to the club and could not have been made to feel more welcome. The guys in the Gun Room are brilliant if you need advice on equipment.
We had a private clay pigeon shooting lesson with Mike Self, who was very knowledgable, patient and super keen to help us improve. The club itself is well kept and organised. A very positive experience all round.
EJ Churchill is undoubtedly the best shooting ground throughout the UK.

Best place to learn clay pigeon shooting. Knowledgeable staff and great atmosphere to explore and learn a new skill set. Highly recommend a visit. Bring your wet gear !!
TLDR: Guns, yay! Sexism, wait... really?
So, the outdoors aspects of the event I attended were great. Archery, clay pigeon shooting, etc. were all wonderfully fun and challenging. For the sport of it, I would go back.
The real smear on the event was the blatant, racism and sexism of two of the instructors. During our archery session, the instructor spent almost all of his time "helping" the women in our group. While doing so, he made repeated comments like "See? When women listen, they do better." Or, "Ah, women should just always follow instructions." Or, to a male participant, "young man, you've got weak arms. Arms like a girl." My girlfriend and I as well as the other couple shooting near us exchanged several "Is he really saying this outloud?!" glances. Oh yes he was. Again and again.
Later in the day, another instructor singled out an east asian person in our group and explained to the group that they may trouble loading their guns because "they're built by the Chinese like her and they've only got tiny little fingers." Again, many of us stood open jawed that he was saying this outloud, to the group.
Don't get me wrong, some of the instructors were great. The clay pigeon shooting instructor in particular was excllent. Not only competent as an instructor but really made for a warm interaction and got the whole group involved.
So, final thought for me is this place is worth visiting if you have a thick skin for ignorant banter and *really* enjoy shooting. For the price we laid via Groupon, it was okay. I would much rather pay more for a better experience than go back to EJ Churchill under the same circumstances.

Craig was great! Got stuck straight in and started with our instructors assisting with advice and tweaks instead of applying all the theory before we got going.

Wonderful shooting ground. Telephone response has been wonderful, great facility for three reasons, great targets, all staff from the top are pasionate about shooting. High quality shopping at great prices. Nearly forgot good gun cleaning facilities.
Probably the smartest shooting ground and shop in the UK. Huge variety of targets, friendly staff and superbly stocked shop. They do everything from private give a go lessons to big corporate days and run a fantastic shooting agency too. Highly recommended!
Really nice ground and facilities. 44p a clay is a bit dearer than some but it's a nice setting. I used to shoot here a lot more but they are now very keen that you do not bring a guest without their own shotgun certificate even with your own liability insurance. Taking a friend is a main part of clay shooting for me so now I mostly go elsewhere.
Fantastic shooting ground, well looked after by all the instructors who were very friendly and really made the day for us all. Will definitely be coming back again in the future!
A truly fantastic shooting ground. Beautiful grounds and a lovely clubhouse. The staff couldn't have been nicer, and Adam's instruction was incredibly helpful. Highly recommended.
