They don't even bother to answer the emails if there's a complaint which they are not interested in answering. Instead of trying to help and make the stay as pleasant as possible, every single problem turns into a battle in which you as a tenant stay to lose. It's really frustrating.

Even before dealing with DUWO myself, I had already all the other reviews and had a general negative impression of the organization. After having dealt with them when I arrived at Delft for housing, I can confirm that all of the negative comments are true.
The state that they leave the housing in before you enter is just horrendous. There is dust in the ventilation, mold in the bathroom and the kitchen was unsanitary with flies everywhere. After sending them an extensive email with the details about these problems, all they did was replace the kitchen hotplate with an induction stove. Other than that no cleaning was done and I had to go again in person and the person working there practically laughed at the problems I had mentioned and said that somebody would be there immediately. Obviously no one arrived and I was left very frustrated and agitated.
For anyone using DUWO, especially international students, stay away if you can! Find someone living in the area that can check out housing for you or try to rent from a previous student. DUWO itself is unprofessional and unorganized in general. They have lackluster service and are only there since they have a monopoly. The rent prices that they charge are ridiculous for whats actually available in the housing.

Apartments are incredibly dirty and you pay a lot of service costs. Sometimes there are literally spits on the mirror in the elevator for weeks. And you can't even do your laundry normally, all washing machines are full or broken again. They only think of their own wallet and their own interests. They just put us in a chicken coop and just want to see money. You would think that they can take all costs into account since we are only students. But that is certainly not the case. Hope I can live somewhere soon.

Quite sad that one has to resort to publicly shaming DUWO's total incompetence and idiocy to get them to pay attention, but desperate times call for desperate measures to be taken.
I tried to play nice, properly asking for repairing the ventilation system that cannot be switched off in my apartment and is so loud that makes sleeping almost impossible. Never even got a response in more than two weeks. Asked again a week later, also filled out a complaint, again no response. So here it goes, you really are the most unhelpful useless bunch of people I ever had the misfortune to have to deal with... Got your attention now??

Nice try blaming the communication, but we all know that's not the issue: number 1, your own website states one does not need to be at home for repairs, as caretakers have the keys, number 2, obviously I get every single DUWO email normally, so no, this single one about repairs did not magically just ended up in the spam box....
But good to know that public shaming does work apparently:)

It's official, DUWO really is the most horrible, incompetent, ignorant, uninterested piece of garbage company...
You promised a repair for this week with noise measurement on Thursday... Obviously neither ever took place, not that it is any surprise. No, don't even try to come with me not being home or the repairman not being able to reach me or communication going wrong: that's why there is a caretaker who can arrange access to everywhere for repairs as we both know it and as you state it on your own website.
Do I have to sou you to get anything done? How legal do you think it is to lease an apartment where it's impossible to sleep due to the noise disturbance and ignore all the repair requests and complaints for 6 weeks???
