Went here for balloon fest. Too windy took a long time for the balloons to fill and take off. Kids enjoyed food trucks and inflatables.

Horses and horse showings. All kinds of farm animals competing for First Prize. Lots of junk food sold everywhere. Hence, if you are health concious like myself, bring your own food and water.
Expansive grounds so be prepared to walk expensively. Wear com fcomrtable shoes.
Went for the balloon festival had a good time. A lot of vendors all over priced but guess thats normal
Love the location but they could really use another set of bathrooms.
Fairly large county Fair. Well organized. Lots of food choices, rides, farm animals and some tents with jewelry, shirts, etc.
Outrageously overpriced operation. Few years back they threw out several church and non profs food booths from spaces they had for generations offering them only a space inside the race track. While most every other fair offers free top notch entertainment they began charging for prime seating. Used to offer half price tix...no more. No pay one price for rides like most other fairs.
Many locals used to make some cash by letting fair goers park in the yards/lots. Fair must not have liked that since they then did not charge for parking but raised ticket prices. Nothing "family freindly" IMHO.
The Dutchess County Fair is a family tradition for many locals. It's the second largest fair in NYS (after the State Fair in Syracuse) and is the oldest in the state.
Very organized fair grounds! We went for the Country Living Fair and it was expertly played out. They have some food vendors that are always there and have you standard fair food.
Went for the car show. Had a good time. 6 bucks for a bottle of water. Come on people. I got lucky and found someone selling them out of a cooler for a buck. Thanks dude glad you was there
Great family day, we got to see a baby cow named Hank being born at 12:05 today. Birth is truly one of Gods miracles.
Great day safe with lots of law enforcement , lots to see, so many food places.. Must go to the trailer that sells only Apple Crisp ... The best I've had in 20 yrs !!
The fair is vey a typical of rural fairs. They have all the different animals you expect to see at this type of venue. My wife and I go to the fair for the food. We each have our favorite eats and others we share together. We don't do the rides any more, but I do like to watch the younger crowd scream as they get whipped around. We both enjoy the atmosphere of the fair at night. It's a little cooler and you can see the lights better. Parking is free if you're using the main lot on route 9. Be prepared for heavy traffic if you're using the main lot. We enter thru one of their back entrances I pay for parking, but its worth it not to deal with the traffic. We go to the fair year after year and still enjoy the time spent there.
Great family time. We meet people like us who go back every year.
They printed me a ticket, I walk 6 feet they want my ticket? The guy that took my ticket said I needed my hand stamped. Stupid system. Eat and drink before and after the fair grounds. Plenty of reasonable priced option close bye.
Amazing experience.
I love it!!

Attended New York Sheep and Wool Festival here and it was marvelous
Came here for the wine fest and it was the greatest thing ever.
This was a fair, the Ulster county and Orange county fairs are more like carnivals. The only thing I would of changed is they should have more wristband days for the rides. There was so much to do there besides going on rides and playing carnival games that are near impossible to win. They had a petting zoo, animal exhibits with all different kinds of animals and reptiles, they had different kinds of shows: from pigs races, to magic shows and everything in between. It was definitely worth going and bringing the kids.
Best in the state, a must visit, so many great events..
We come here every year for the Sheep and Wool Festival. Love the animals!!
The whole fair was fun! Loved the rides, the animals and food. The live music was awesome. Family friendly atmosphere
Great place for a walk and a visit. Not a huge fan of fairs but there was a lot going on here.
Beautiful fairgrounds.... The ugly large blonde security chick was not a pleasure at all....
I go here almost every year and have a great time! Awesome food, shows, rides, games and tons of venders. Bring lots of money if you plan on doing all of those things. To save a few dollars try to purchase admission tickets online and if you plan on going on rides, they also have specials to buy discounted ride tickets. Parking is free.
So much variety of everything..... food, talent exhibits too and rides.... eagles tribute band jamming good
Its a nice fair, lots of vendors and an abundance of food. Parking is fairly easy in and out.
Beautiful large fair grounds, enjoyable just to walk around
Nice place. Balloons did not fly. They kept people waiting the for hours.
Lots of goodies and misc. Things from food and clothing to furniture.. (The parking is free..
Easy to get to. Plenty of parking. Great experience every ti.e.
This was my first fair and I would definitely go back.
Well kept facility. Nice buildings. Clean, and in good repair. Great location for several events throughout the year.
I mean a fair can be expensive but it's a nice night out with the lights and sounds
Great outdoor experience. Old fashioned fair in the beautiful part of New York. Well worth the effort to get there. Much to do for the children.
Went there for an RV Show...love how clean it is.....have been there for the fair in years but th place is still clean an brings you back in time for sure
Worth getting early tickets, because you know you want to go! Too many offerings to detail, but my daughter loved Raphael's Talent Search.
Beautiful setting, went there for a car show and was impressed
Nice fairgrounds. Would like to see more bathrooms and places for people to get water. However almost no garbage anywhere as there were lots of places to dispose of it. Mostly level or gradual incline. ADA accessible.
Was there for the annual fair. Organization of the fair can be difficult to navigate. Signs would help. It's a fair so prices are to be expensive and expected. I am not a big fan of "X number of tickets per ride." Just personal preference so be prepared to pay a significant sum for rides. Overall most vendors we're very friendly and receptive. Some absolutely amazing handmade products I have seen in a long time.
Traffic in and out can take a long time. Parking can be quite far from the entrance. Plenty of spaces for ADA.
Take the time to walk around and check it all out. There is something for everyone.
We have a great time every yr. Great food, great rides, great prizes.
Always a great time when the fair is in town or any other event
Clean, friendly, educational, and never disappointing. Great location. Right on the edge of historical Rhinebeck. If time permits, take a tour of the town and surrounds.
Been going to the fair for 43yrs. Always a good time.
The same thing every year is great for the little ones
Love taking my family to the fair and the craft shows
