It's a nice place to people watch. Everyone is wearing beautiful scarfs, shawls, or sweaters that they made. A great fashion show! Of course there is the fiber and everything that goes along with.

I attend two events here each year - the Dutchess County Fair and the NY Sheep and Wool Festival.

A few things stand out:

1) Super organized when it comes to traffic flow and parking. There are always tons of people directing the flow into the parking areas. There are usually police directing the flow of traffic from the road. Excellent. Every time.

2) Bathrooms. There are many. They are spread out, so you never have walk too far to reach one. And they are very clean and always functional. (no smelly stalls and broken locks here) There are usually people in them directing folks to empty stalls to help speed the line along. (obviously, I'm talking about the women's restroom)

3) The grounds are just lovely. Lots of trees, plenty of space. Good variety of areas - shady, sunny, etc. Well maintained. Clean.

What can I say. This Agricultural Fair by far super exceeded what I thought. When you attend this Event, keep in mind U R promoting / supporting local businesses as well. People come from many of the surrounding states to partake in this wondrous event. Open your mind & learn about something that you didn't know before!!!

Fun for the family, with animals and information and learning experiences. 15$ admission for adults, or over 11. Rides, however, are 4 tickets each, approx $5 a ride. ?! Food is expensive as well, bottle of water for $3 (you can't bring your own in) in a place where you walk a lot and get pretty thirsty! Great to see the 4H and farms represented. Just eat prior to visiting.

They keep this place really clean, during the fair they have tractors driving around picking up trash and recycling. I can only speak about the actual fair because that's the only time I've been there.

Stella Show Management holds a weekend event here for Country Living Magazine. This was our first trip to Rhinebeck for this show.
The Dutchess County Fairgrounds is the perfect venue for this event. Most vendors are inside should the weather be disagreeable. There are plenty of restrooms, which were attended throughout the day. The food vendors were set up together making choices easier.
Photo ops were available along the way.
The grounds themselves are well taken care with gardens throughout. Seating available on benches and in the shade. Truly a lovely place.

Exactly what you imagine a county Fair should be like at the end if Summer. Tons of different food vendors, crafts, music, rides and games. This fair has everything from pig races to homemade bread loafs to jugglers and everything in between. Would highly recommend going at least once in your life!

This year will be my kids and I 4th year going! From the rides, to the food, the animals and the 2 buildings where you can taste what the vendors are selling and also smell the awesome natural products that are being sold....This is the place to be!!! Food court is to die for...To many to count!

Advice...Get their early because it gets packed from the moment they open until they close at night! And you can purchase your tickets in advance to skip the lines!

Wonderful setting for any event. I went to Sheep and Wool fest, and there were many food truck options for lunch, easy to find and clean restrooms with attendants to keep lines moving, and a lovely country aetting.
