Nice place to enjoy vacation. But they must renovate their rooms. Foods were tasty, refill was good, staffs were cordial, swimming pool water was warm, rooms were spacious, a nice mosque, natural but clean surrounding, well maintained. Problems were bathroom ventilation, beds, tap water was cold at night, broken tools in gym. Otherwise it was a good experience.

It's a beautiful resort. The area is quite big and highly recommended for anyone who's looking for some quiet and peaceful time away from the hustle bustle and chaos of other crowded hotels/resorts in the area. There are just the right amount of trees, bushes throughout the area. The interior of the rooms and the hotel itself is just amazing. The lighting around is soothing. Light music plays all around which is great too. The service of the employees are commendable and truly praiseworthy. All in all, loved our stay here.

Natural beauty is good looking, but money is stolen from the room, which can not be accepted, so those who go to Dussai will go a little bit thinking or leave the money at home. It is a terrible experience to come to visit the world. ...

The Resort is a hidden gem in Srimangal, Sylhet. The AMAZING staff are a credit to the hotel. Nothing was to much for them when it come to doing anything for us. They mailed us a couple of days before to give some advice on what documents we need to bring with us. The surrounding areas just beautiful, it's breathtaking. We just loved the place. Had so much to do for activities. Didn t get any chance to go anywhere. We re fully satisfied with there service. Very nice hot/cold pool and grounds. Staff particularly friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the scenery and the natural aspects of the resort.

This os one of the luxariois resort in Bangladesh at Moulvibazar, Sylhet. Infrastructure is so cool like a villages with a high class facilities. You may avail your food here in buffet. Cooking is very good here in buffet. Though staying here is too costly as it is 5star.

Well, where do I start! To begin with it all seeme...

Well, where do I start! To begin with it all seemed ok. We arrived at the Resort and we were welcomed by the Reception staff, along with welcome drinks. We were then taken to our room (which was very pretty). Now for the disasters, the food was edible, but if I had a choice, I would've preferred to order from else where. It was tasteless and quite frankly I was expecting something of a different standard from such a renowned Resort. Food was very disappointing!

Now came night and our biggest nightmare started. This started at 12am. We got into our room and all of a sudden we hear buzzing sound. My wife noticed a very large wasp on the blind. I tried to kill it but before I could, I noticed another one on the ceiling (hut roof). We called for room service and they arrived with insect killing spray. The member of staff then killed both of the wasps. I requested for him to leave the spray for further incidents. He left and then we carried on as normal. My wife went to the bathroom and found 5 spiders in the corners of the bathroom and some hanging off the ceiling. I killed them all with the spray, when she noticed a cockroach on the side of the shower (we also killed that). Now while she was inside the bathroom, I found 2 large beetle looking insect on the corners of the room (please see all pictures attached). After my wife came out of the bathroom we turned the AC on and she noticed a very long, black centipede coming out of the AC vent. She was absolutely petrified. At this point, we had, had enough! I killed this too and then we thought maybe we could ignore everything and just move on. We had only just got into bed (by this time it was 4am) when a enormous (and I'm not kidding when I say enormous, wasp was flying above our heads!) I had seen nothing like it before. We were both absolutely mortified! We called room service once again and by this point we were tired and had enough! We requested for them to arrange for a car to take us back or to arrange for a different room. A member of staff came to our room again with many different sprays but I was determined to meet the Manager. The manager was unavailable so the acting Manager came to see us. He was not budging from the fact that it was causing us distress.

After a lot of convincing he agreed to change our room. By the time they did all this it was 5am. Once we moved into the new room, we just rushed into bed so we don't notice anything else.

In the morning, walking from our room to go to the restaurant, it was so embarrassing. Every member of staff were standing and gossiping about the event. Finally when we reached the restaurant for breakfast, the Manager decided he wanted to meet us. He came up to us, he seemed very embarrassed! He offered us a free lunch (which we refused as the food was so horrible). He then just left without a mention of discount or any sort of compensation.

We left for our room, packed our belongings and left. Once we reached Reception, the Manager turned up with 2 caps (which were probably rotting away in a cupboard, we knew this because they both had cobwebs and dust on them). This was his way of apologising!

We then got into our car promising never to return again!

Save your money, save your day and save yourself the embarrassment! Do not waste your precious time at Dusai Resort!

First of all it is not a five star hotel at all. The reasons are as follows :

a) I went there at Summer, so when I was waiting for my room at reception I was quite disgusted for hot weather as there was no AC there.
b) Ambience at the lobby was not up to the mark, but it was good at other places; specially the cottage area.
c) I stayed at tower building which is not accurately nit & clean. There was wasted food infront of another room's door. It took much time to clean that after several request.
d) While raining water swipes at tower building.
e) We got buffet offer but very less varities of foods.
f) Swimming pool is just pathetic. They used even Khori/ raw wood there. They ran the Jakuzi on demand.
g) Kids play zone was horrible.
h) I read several reviews of very same language, even same words. Seems its paid.
i) When I criticized them for their unprofessional behavior at facebook they blocked me long ago.
j) Food price most probably the highest in Bangladesh (One juice at swimming pool costs around 1200tk, name of that juice couldnt remember).

Good things are :

a) The resort was artistic, I liked it.
b) Room was good.
c) Less expensive than Grand Sultan & Palace.
d) Cottage area was very nice.

Good place for couples or small family of 3 members. Joint rooms are available in the main building. Rooms are a bit small compared to other similar places. Room with double beds not available. Entire resort is similar design wise to Palace Resort but small in size. Aminities are there. Internet is fast. Food is a bit different in a good way, less spicy. Menu is less varied, may be due to package we took. Staff are helpful.

More or less okay but no way very good or great. Nice place but not many things to do and the food was terrible in the Boishakhi package we took. They can charge a bit more if needed but should provide something which goes with the 'luxury resort' branding that they have.

Upon watching this review the management contacted me and apologized for the issue. I would say I was impressed with their attitude. Overall, the rooms and room service was good but as stated before, food quality is not good at all.
