Duplin Winery is a family-owned business that has been producing award-winning wines for over 40 years. Located in Rose Hill, North Carolina, Duplin Winery is the oldest and largest winery in the south. The vineyards at Duplin are spread across more than 800 acres of land, which allows them to grow a variety of grapes including Muscadine grapes – a native grape variety found only in the southeastern United States. These grapes are known for their sweet flavor and high antioxidant content.
Duplin produces over 500,000 cases of wine each year which are sold throughout North Carolina as well as other states such as Florida, Georgia, Virginia, Maryland and Tennessee. Their most popular wines include Sweet Muscadine Wine (a semi-sweet red wine), Hatteras Red (a sweet red wine), Carlos (a dry white wine) and Magnolia (a semi-sweet white wine).
In addition to producing delicious wines, Duplin also hosts several events throughout the year including their annual Grape Stomp Festival which takes place every September. This festival attracts thousands of visitors who come to enjoy live music performances while stomping on grapes just like Lucy did on "I Love Lucy"!
