Dunlap & Magee Review

Enjoyed the apartments for 5 years.Maintenance was excellent and office staff wonderful..then I unexpectedly had to move and that's where the trouble began. They kept most of my deposit because of a previous tenants actions.I was directed to Kristie Amaya...She doesn't answer phones or emails. And they still have my money..So I've been made to understand that good tenants are worthless and it's their word over yours and it doesn't matter what proof you have..You would think 5 years of a good reputation with paying rent in a timely manner and making sure everything is in working condition( when we got there alot of stuff didn't work)before you leave for the next tenant would count. Expect to lose your deposit..Expect to get the voicemails of every person at Dunlap and Magee and no return calls..And expect to get someone from Dunlap and Magee to read your review and say we'd "Love to hear from you call us" and then give you the same number you've been dialing but no name or extension to anyone to actually talk to. I've been trying to settle this since October 2019. Its January 2020.......

My advice is to make sure that you aren't sensitive! With my experience staff be little's you! Talks down to you! And flat out makes you feel like are beneath them! My property manager Vanessa Powell has written me up for hear say and speculation which she admits to in writing! I know there are renters rights as well and I need to know how I can defend my side of the story!

Been here 6 years and as soon as Jeanie left we have a new manager every month. Fridge broken for years. When they finally agreed to replace it the maintenance man ignored the sign on my door that said I work from home please don't knock and repeatedly banged on my door making dog bark while on the phone with a client. A/C breaks all them time. Took me 3 years to get a new thermostat. Very bad management company.

Well true to my word i update: I must say they are Good guys lol quick response time on their reviews! I sincerely appreciate your response time as well as your desire to want to rectify any reason I may have a bad review but I honestly can say now that I've reached you I cant wait to speak to you! And I never leave any bad reviews unless there is absolutely no redeeming efforts even attempted or redeeming values displayed and, Dunlap & Magee, you have graciously done both ! Stars are through the roof for just that alone ! I promise I will make that call soon . Thank you very much!

I would like to thank Dunlap and Magee for bringing such a awesome team here. I want to thank Lucy for making such a big improvement on the property. Jaime & Lucy always are on top of things and are very professional!

I have been a resident at one of Dunlap & Magee properties for over 5 years. I love where I live, I also have a special needs child and Dunlap & Magee have approved my ADA accommodations for my son in a quick and satisfactory manor. I love the pool here always nice, clear, clean water, my son loves the pool...When I have a maintenance request it gets done within the same day to 24hrs...never had any issues about maintenance.... Best management company I have ever encountered and I will continue to recommend to everyone, :-)

I am a resident of Desert Vista apartments and Destiny Choi has been a problem since she took over for Nellie. She has not responded to any of my calls or emails for 5 business days - does that seem okay to Dunlap and Magee?

I'm trying to give my 30 day notice, since the lease states it must be hand delivered, but she cant even answer the phone. I've already called this apartment management company, they said they would email her, guess what, still no call!

Not to mention the mold that is in my dishwasher that they refuse to fix - I've have this problem since before the pandemic so Destiny cannot claim that this is why they won't repair it.

I went to their managed apartment, Foothills on the Preserve, they acted so nice. They told me that my rent would be based on my income. They gave me the impression that it was subsidized housing. Nope. Told me I could move in, but would not tell me what my rent would be until the last minutes because I kept asking. Told them it was too much for me to pay. I asked for my deposit back and they refused to give it back. I was conned and robbed. I did get my deposit back.

If I could give zero stars I would. This has been an on going situation with property manager and corporate don't seem to care or even address the issues, it's more of a game where they say what you hear, just to get you off their line. The manager of the property of where I live thinks she can tell and scream at residents she is on a major power trip..when we call corporate to inform them of the situation they give you a number call us with any issues or concerns we will take care of it right away they say but...yeah that is a bunch of bull $#!*. Would I recommend this place...yes to my worst enemy.
