Hemo da slippahs and come in from the beach at Duke's barefoot bar. You can still hear traditional Hawaiian music all weekend, including Aunty Momi Bee and her trio, with the Hukilau song. Mahalo Dukes for honoring our kama'aina with your Ho'okahiko Awards! Make sure you order the hula pie. Oreo cookie crust and mac nut ice cream with a chocolate topping. Perfect grinds for the tropical weather.

Duke's is an amazing place to eat. Their steak is the best on the island. The view is incredible and the service is great. You have to give this place a try and if you do you will come back and have great memories from eating here.

We decided to visit Duke's after chatting with multiple people about where to dine in Waikiki, and Duke's came highly recommended.

Our wait to get in was reasonable (call ahead and make a reservation!), our server (Tom) was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the food quality was excellent. My kabob and my wife's Mahi Mahi were very pleasing, and the Hula Pie for dessert hit the spot. No complaints from any of that.

My only complaint has nothing to do with them, since they aren't the reason that prices are ridiculous in Waikiki. Still, they were reasonable when compared to other area restaurants in the area. Nice atmosphere, good food, and excellent service. Nice job!

If you can find it it is well worth it! As you walk from cheesecake factory heading south there is no sign outside, but as you walk the first hallway on your right there is a turquoise neon sign that says Duke's. Go down the hallway and you'll find it. Great atmosphere and awesome food! Been here twice! It's worth the do over!

Made a reservation weeks ahead (recommend doing) letting them know it was a special occasion- honeymooners first night out. Service was great. We got right in and they made sure we sat at a table with a great view and close to the live entertainment. The service we received was excellent the entire evening. Best calamari I ve ever had. Fresh fish cooked to perfection and delicious drinks! Wish we had saved room for dessert. Can t wait to go back.

Duke's on Sunday has a band, usually Henry Kapono's (house band), from 4pm to 6:30ish. This is all outside, with a view of the ocean and where there's a "beer garden" with a selection of up to 8 different beers and a choice of wines instead of trudging up the stairs and waiting in line. You can also get beer, wine and mixed drinks from wait-people roaming around. There's chairs for sitting or you can stand or even dance (like nobody's watching).

Food was great, seafood was extremely fresh and the fillet was cooked to perfection. The service however was the standout, Clint our server went above and beyond to help us find the best menu options and fill in the details on item when needed. He had great conversations and even surprised us after dinner with a slice of cake that was delectable.

Great place to sit and have dinner while taking in the beach / ocean views. The salad bar is absolutely worth the additional $5 as there are so many options to choose from. The menu is large with lots of options, but the food did not come prepared as we requested (my steak, requested medium, came well done) Overall, I would absolutely recommend this spot for lunch or dinner!

No reservations for breakfast, reservations are just lunch and up, they have a breakfast buffet. The food was super good, the bacon was kind of cheap and thin, but the chicken and Portuguese sausage was amazing. I order a bacon bloody Mary, I over-estimated my ability to drink that early, and the drink was spicy. I didn't finish it, I couldn't get over the bacon fat floating around, I had imagined they would have used bacon vodka. Overall, a little over priced, but certainly tasty and an amazing view, super friendly staff.

I went for breakfast with my daughter in November 2019 and my husband in December 2019. Since it is open early in the morning, you can eat a lot of salads, fruits, omelets, pancakes, etc. from the morning. I think it is recommended because it is pleasantly delicious while looking at the sea and the price is not high.
When I can go to Hawaii again, I would like to go with Dinner next time.

Duke's has food for people with special dietary requirements. Gluten free, dairy free, and they feed vegans! Not very many options, but the beet salad was a treat. I'm not sure if the dressing could've being on the side is an option, but a suggestion to ask. It was a little sweet to me, but a valid vegan meal.

Ate here twice during our stay. We have always like Duke s as a little quirk of the Island but we actually had our best meals in Oahu here! Very good service, especially with a little one. Be prepared to wait at any sort of reasonable time, but they give you a buzzer and really the staff were great!

The food was good, drinks are the same as all the other main bar restaurants. Busy, and I mean always and really busy. We tried 3 times to go there and wernt able to get a seat anywhere with lots of people in front of us. On the 4th time we got there early for lunch and finally got a seat at the bar. Bar tenders were nice. BIG TIP get a reservation or show up when they open.

Fabulous. Routinely on the "top of" lists for restaurants in Oahu, for good reason. Fresh fish and seafood, and the *best* crab wontons I've ever had. The salad bar is really great too - kale & walnut salad, different pasta/grain/couscous salads, cold beet & bean salad - so many options! Highly recommended.

Nice ambiance and atmosphere. Drinks and food was a bit pricey for little alcohol content and dry rice. Salad bar was great worth the $5. Good live music! There are a lot more restaurants at a much more reasonable price with more to offer than waiting for a spot at Dukes. Glad I went but won t be coming back!

What's the big deal about this place? It felt like a Red Lobster... overcrowded, rushed and unmemorable. While it wasn't horrible, there was nothing special about our experience or the food. The salad bar was quite nice, and you could kind of see the beach from some of the tables, so I raised my rating from 2 to 3 stars.

A must when visiting Kauai! The atmosphere, the food and the service were all excellent. Salad bar was so good I took my steak home, which was delicious. Hula pie was plenty for hubby & I to share. I hope to go back again some day.

Awesome beachfront bar and restaurant! Draws a huge crowd. The bar area has open seating so you just need to keep an eye on who's leaving. Good food, the drinks were ok. Prices were reasonable except for the cosmopolitan which was $15.

One of the few places in Waikiki where the quality matches up to the price. The Ahi was simply amazing, the ambience with live music perfect and the service attentive without being intrusive.

The food, atmosphere, and service were top notch. I went for both breakfast and dinner. The breakfast buffet was an incredible value - it's the only meal you'll need all day. My burger off the the "casual" dinner menu was fantastic. I've found "my place" in Waikiki.

About Duke's Canoe Club Waikiki

Duke's Canoe Club Waikiki: A Legendary Beachfront Destination

Located in the heart of Waikiki, Duke's Canoe Club is a legendary establishment that has been serving locals and tourists alike for over 25 years. Named after Duke Kahanamoku, a Hawaiian surfing legend and Olympic gold medalist, this beachfront restaurant and bar celebrates the spirit of Hawaii through its food, drinks, music, and atmosphere.

Whether you're looking for a casual lunch with friends or a romantic dinner with your significant other, Duke's Waikiki offers something for everyone. The menu features an array of fresh seafood dishes such as poke bowls, fish tacos, grilled mahi-mahi, and shrimp scampi. You can also indulge in classic Hawaiian favorites like kalua pork nachos or huli-huli chicken.

But it's not just the food that makes Duke's Waikiki special; it's the ambiance too. The open-air dining room overlooks the turquoise waters of Waikiki Beach while live music fills the air every night. From local musicians playing traditional Hawaiian tunes to cover bands performing popular hits from different eras and genres – there is always something to enjoy at Duke's.

In addition to its restaurant and bar offerings, Duke's Canoe Club also offers private event spaces for weddings, corporate events or any other special occasion you may have in mind. With breathtaking views of Diamond Head Crater and personalized service from their experienced staff – your event will be unforgettable.

But what sets Duke’s apart from other restaurants in Waikiki is its commitment to sustainability. They source their ingredients locally whenever possible to support Hawaii’s farmers and fishermen while reducing their carbon footprint by using compostable takeout containers made from sugarcane fiber instead of plastic.

Overall if you are looking for an authentic Hawaiian experience with great food & drinks along with live music on one of Hawaii’s most iconic beaches then look no further than Duke’s Canoe Club Waikiki!
